Armentia

The Basilica of San Prudencio de Armentia (Spanish: Basílica de San Prudencio de Armentia, Basque: Armentiako San Prudentzioren basilika) is a basilica located in Armentia, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque Country, Spain. It was built in the 12th-century in Romanesque style. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1931.

Olabide ikastola is a Basque school located in the Basque Country, in the province of Álava. The official educational language is Basque. Every class, starting from kindergarten, are taught in this language. The students are separated into four classes from the beginning, primarily based on the child’s mother tongue. In this way, they create a group of classmates which have Basque as their first language. This division is done because when they first go to school, some children don’t even know how to speak Spanish, while others do. This would create many difficulties when socializing so they intend to prevent it through these measures. This school is a parental cooperative.

Club Deportivo Ariznabarra is a Spanish football club based in Vitoria-Gasteiz, in the autonomous community of Basque Country. Founded in 1972, it currently plays in the Tercera División – Group 4, holding home games at Campo municipal de Ariznabarra. Ariznabarra is a feeder club of Real Sociedad de Fútbol, their reference club in the city of Vitoria.

The Basque Country (; Basque: Euskadi [eus̺kadi]; Spanish: País Vasco [paˈiz ˈβasko]; French: Pays Basque), also called Basque Autonomous Community (Basque: Euskal Autonomia Erkidegoa, EAE; Spanish: Comunidad Autónoma Vasca, CAV), is an autonomous community in northern Spain. It includes the Basque provinces of Álava, Biscay, and Gipuzkoa. It also surrounds an enclave called Treviño, which belongs to the neighboring autonomous community of Castile and León. The Basque Country or Basque Autonomous Community was granted the status of nationality within Spain, attributed by the Spanish Constitution of 1978. The autonomous community is based on the Statute of Autonomy of the Basque Country, a foundational legal document providing the framework for the development of the Basque people on Spanish soil. Navarre, which had narrowly rejected a joint statute of autonomy with Gipuzkoa, Álava and Biscay in 1932, was granted a separate statute in 1982. Currently there is no official capital in the autonomous community, but the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, in the province of Álava, is the de facto capital as the location of the Basque Parliament, the headquarters of the Basque Government, and the residence of the President of the Basque Autonomous Community (the Palace of Ajuria Enea). The High Court of Justice of the Basque Country has its headquarters in the city of Bilbao. Whilst Vitoria-Gasteiz is the largest municipality in area, with 277 km2 (107 sq mi), Bilbao is the largest in population, with 353,187 people, located in the province of Biscay within a conurbation of 875,552 people. The term Basque Country may also refer to the larger cultural region (Basque: Euskal Herria), the home of the Basque people, which includes the autonomous community.

Borinbizkarra is a sector located to the northeast of the District of Zabalgana, in the city of Vitoria, Basque country, Spain. Borinbizkarra has an area of 343.505 square meters. It borders north with the District of Sansomendi through the Avenida de los Huetos, to the East with the District of San Martín through the Avenida del Mediterraneo, to the South with the rest of Zabalgana via railroad and to the West with the sector of Elejalde and the village of Ali. This sector is built around a large central park, around which are the streets, buildings and equipment. 2,000 homes are planned: 1568 (78,40%) of official protection, free collective 344 and 88 townhouses, being the third sector of Zabalgana by number of dwellings. Plots for equipment a total of 60.922 square meters, divided into 9 plots: 5 for educational facilities, 2 for sports facilities, one for social facilities and another for equipment in general, but has been modified to the detriment of the residents.

Lasarte is a village of the municipality of Vitoria, in the Álava province within the autonomous community of Basque Country in Spain. It is included in the Southwest Rural Zone of Vitoria.

The Ciudad Deportiva José Luis Compañón (José Luis Compañón Sport City / Basque: José Luis Compañón Kirol Hiria), also known as Instalaciones de Ibaia (Ibaia Facilities / Basque: Ibaia instalazioak) after the name of its semi-rural location, is the primary training ground of Spanish professional football club Deportivo Alavés, located in the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Álava (Basque Country).

The Augustin Zulueta Palace (Spanish: Palacio Augustín Zulueta) is a palace located in Vitoria-Gazteiz, Álava, Spain, in Fray Francisco promenade, 8. The palace was built in 1912 by the architects Julián de Apraiz and Javier Luque, designers of the New Cathedral of Vitoria-Gazteiz. They followed the taste of the wealthy families of that time. It was Don Ricardo de Augustin, developer of many other buildings, who ordered its construction. The palace currently houses the Museum of Fine Arts of Álava (Museo de Bellas Artes de Álava). The museum is devoted to Spanish art from the 17th to the 20th centuries, as well as Basque art from 1850 to 1950. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1962.

The Museum of Fine Arts of Álava (Spanish: Museo de Bellas Artes de Álava, Basque: Arabako Arte Ederren Museoa) is located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital of the Basque Country, Spain. The museum is dedicated to Spanish art from the 18th to the 20th century, and particularly to Basque art from the 1850–1950 period. Opened in 1942, it is located at the Augustin Zulueta Palace.
