Husthwaite is a village and civil parish in Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) north from Easingwold.

St Nicholas' Church is an Anglican church in Husthwaite, a village in North Yorkshire, in England. The church was built in the 12th century, from which period the nave and chancel survive. The tower was added in the 15th century, and the south doorway was replaced in 1683. A porch was added in 1878, and the church was restored in 1896, the work including replacing the south nave windows. The church was grade II* listed in 1960. The church is built of sandstone with lead roofs, and consists of a nave, a south porch, a chancel and a west tower. The tower has three stages, a plinth, diagonal buttresses, a three-light west window with a four-centred arch, a string course, two-light bell openings, and a weathervane on the roof. The porch is gabled, and has a triangular-headed doorway with a hood mould. The inner doorway is round-arched with three orders, and spiral capitals and shafts. Inside, there are 17th-century box pews, and an altar rail, pulpit and font cover of similar date. There is a 13th-century lead coffin cross and an early piscina, choir stalls of reused 17th-century woodwork, and a couple of 18th-century wall monuments.

Newburgh Priory is a Grade 1 listed Tudor building near Coxwold, North Yorkshire, England. Originally a house of Augustinian canons, it was founded in 1145 and became a family home following the dissolution of the priory in 1538. The present house was built in the late 16th century, substantially remodelled by 4th Viscount Fauconberg 1725-45 and further restored in the 1960s. The 40 acres of grounds contain a water garden, walled garden, topiary yews and woodland walks. It is one of the rumoured burial sites of Oliver Cromwell. The house was once the home of the Bellasis family and the seat of the Earls of Fauconberg until the death of Lady Charlotte Bellayse in 1825, when the property passed to the Wombwell family via the eldest son of her sister, Sir George Wombwell, 3rd Baronet.

Coxwold railway station was on the Thirsk and Malton line of the York, Newcastle and Berwick Railway in North Yorkshire, England that served the village of Coxwold. The station opened on 1 June 1853.The station was host to a camping coach from 1935 to 1939, and possibly one for some of 1934, the station was also used as an overnight stop for touring camping coach service in 1935.The station closed for regular passenger traffic in 1953 but was subsequently used for occasional special trains until 1958.The line remained open for goods traffic until 10 August 1964, after which the track was subsequently lifted.The station has since been converted into a private house.

St Michael's Church is an Anglican parish church in Coxwold, North Yorkshire, England. The Parish of Coxwold is part of the Church of England's Diocese of York.The earliest church on the site dates to the Anglo-Saxon period. That church was replaced by a Norman one built in the 11th century, and that in turn was replaced with the present church which was built by 1430. The church is in the Perpendicular style, and among its unusual features are an octagonal tower and a tongue-shaped altar rail. The church is a grade I listed building.The church is the resting place of Rear Admiral Lord Adolphus FitzClarence, an illegitimate son of Prince William, the future William IV, and his mistress Dorothea Jordan.

The Fauconberg Arms is a 17th-century Coaching inn in Coxwold, North Yorkshire, England. The village and estate were given to the Fauconberg family by Henry VIII. The property is still owned by the Newburgh Priory Estate and is named after the Earl of Fauconberg. It serves beer and a selection of food and is close to Shandy Hall and the Kilburn White Horse.The Fauconberg Arms re-opened in November 2006 after being closed for almost two years. The new proprietors - Simon and Helen Rheinberg and their daughter and her husband, Harriet and Jonathan Chadwick, have refurbished the pub's bar, cellar, dining room and kitchens. The renovated en-suite B&B bedrooms reopened in spring 2007.The inn was highly commended in Yorkshire Pub of the Year 2013, and received a good review from The Yorkshire Post (Pub of the Week) in April 2013, but a November 2014 review thought little of the cuisine.

Coxwold is a village and civil parish in the Hambleton District of North Yorkshire, England, in the North York Moors National Park. It is 18 miles north of York and is where the Rev. Laurence Sterne wrote A Sentimental Journey.

Husthwaite Gate railway station is a disused railway station in North Yorkshire, England. It served the nearby village of Husthwaite. When the Thirsk and Malton Line was completed in 1853, there was originally no station near Husthwaite. However, a single platform on the north side of the single line was provided by 1856, east of the crossing with the minor road from Husthwaite to Carlton Husthwaite, known as Elphin Bridge Lane. A stationmaster's house, incorporating the ticket office, was built on the opposite side of the crossing.A goods siding in front of the stationmaster's house was built at the cost of Sir George Wombwell, a local landowner. In 1872, it was taken into public use and Wombwell's outlay was refunded. In 1880, a 200 yards (180 m) tramway was built to connect the goods siding to Angram Wood, north east of the station. This was used to forward timber from Angram to Helmsley for processing. The gauge of the tramway is unknown.In 1856, a single train plied the route between Pilmoor and Malton three times daily. This had risen to four trains a day by 1895. In 1906, services on the line amounted to six trains each way, five of which went south to York and one which ran north to Pilmoor and offered a connecting service via the Pilmoor, Boroughbridge and Knaresborough Railway to Harrogate.The station was closed to passengers in January 1953, but the line was still used by long-distance passenger traffic and excursions. It remained as a goods station but became an unmanned delivery siding from October 1963. The station was closed in August 1964, having latterly been serviced with trains only from the east. An accident in March 1963 on the East Coast Main Line damaged Sessay Wood Junction and it was never repaired. The line was closed in 1964, and the track pulled up in the following year. A brick course of the platform remains. The stationmaster's house is a private dwelling, and the station sidings area is now a campsite.

Shandy Hall is a writer's house museum in the former home of the Rev. Laurence Sterne in Coxwold, North Yorkshire, England. Sterne lived there from 1760 to 1768 as perpetual curate of Coxwold. He is remembered for his novels The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman and A Sentimental Journey Through France and Italy.

Baxby Manor is a historic building in Husthwaite, a village in North Yorkshire, in England. The core of the manor house was built in about 1300. A chimney was inserted and a wing on the right was added in about 1600. The outer walls were encased in stone in the 18th century. The house was grade II listed in 1980. The building has recently served as a farmhouse. From the mid 1980s, part of the grounds were used as an unlicensed airfield. The building has a timber framed core encased in brown sandstone, and it has a pantile roof. At the rear, brickwork covers a base cruck, something found elsewhere in northern England only at Canons Garth in Helmsley. The house has two storeys, a main range of three bays, and a gabled cross-wing on the right. On the front is a doorway, and at the rear is a timber porch. Most of the windows are sashes, some horizontally-sliding, and there is a blocked mullioned window. Inside, there is exposed timber framing; 17th-century panelling; a former kitchen with a large fireplace and bread oven; and a huge fireplace in the dining room, which is a subdivision of the former hall.

Easingwold Union Workhouse is a historic building in Easingwold, a town in North Yorkshire, in England. A workhouse was first recorded in Easingwold in 1756. A Poor Law Union was created in 1837, and it constructed a new workhouse, which was completed in 1838. It was designed by J. B. and W. Atkinson, and its construction cost about £2,600. It could house 130 people, the first of whom were admitted in October 1838. In 1934, North Riding County Council converted the building into the Claypenny Hospital, for mentally disabled people. Various other buildings were constructed, expanding the hospital's capacity to just under 400 patients. It came to focus on people with the most severe disabilities; and also on children. The hospital closed in 1993. The other hospital buildings were demolished, but the workhouse had been grade II listed in 1984 and so was instead converted into flats. The building is constructed of pale brown brick, with a stuccoed floor band and a Welsh slate roof. The central range has two storeys and five bays, and is flanked by gabled cross-wings with three storeys and one bay. In the centre is a doorway with a fanlight in a round-arched recess, and the windows are sashes. The cross-wings contain tripartite sash windows, and in the top floor are Diocletian windows.
