Dorion was a provincial electoral district in the province of Quebec, Canada. It corresponded to the Villeray neighbourhood in Montreal. It was created for the 1966 election from parts of Montréal-Outremont, Montréal–Jeanne-Mance and Montréal-Laurier electoral districts. Its final election was in 1989. It disappeared in the 1994 election and its successor electoral district was Laurier-Dorion. A Montréal-Dorion district also existed from 1912 to 1939. The electoral district was named in honour of a prime minister of the United Province of Canada, Antoine-Aimé Dorion.

Additionally, the project encompasses an outdoor soccer area for use during favorable weather conditions. The Saint-Michel environmental complex is a large multi-functional park in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is located in borough of Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension on the site of a former limestone quarry, the Miron Quarry. Its current area is 192 hectares (120 acres), and has 5.5 kilometres (3.4 mi) of pathways. The 192-hectare area originally was a limestone quarry, in 1968 it was converted into a landfill of 75 hectares. In 1984 it was acquired by the city of Montreal to transform it into an environmental technology and education complex. The majority of the area is taken up by the Frédéric-Back Park, which sits atop 40 million tonnes of garbage contained in the landfill.

Frédéric-Back Park (French: Parc Frédéric-Back) is an urban park in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is within the Saint-Michel environmental complex in the borough of Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension. The 192-hectare area originally was a limestone quarry, then a landfill. It is in the midst of a transformation that will see the majority of it become the park. A trail of 5.5 kilometres (3.4 mi) encircles the center of the park. As of 2020, the park has a total area of 48 hectares. When the planned transformation is complete, the park will have an area of 153 hectares.This will make it one or the largest urban parks in the city of Montreal.

Papineau (formerly Papineau—Saint-Denis and Papineau—Saint-Michel) is a federal electoral district in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1948. Its population in 2016 was 110,750. Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada and Leader of the Liberal Party, has represented the riding since the 2008 federal election. Trudeau became Liberal leader in a 2013 leadership election, succeeding Bob Rae, and prime minister when the Liberals returned to government in the 2015 Canadian federal election, succeeding Conservative leader Stephen Harper. The name of the riding comes from a street in the Villeray neighbourhood, named after Joseph Papineau. At nine square kilometres, it covers the second smallest area of any federal riding in Canada after Toronto Centre. Linguistically, 45% of residents list French as their mother tongue, 8% list English, and 47% list neither English nor French, with large groups speaking Spanish, Italian, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Pashtu, Bengali, Greek and Arabic. Immigrants make up 40 percent of the riding's population.
