Red Flower Rising is a public artwork by American artist Richard Taylor located outside the Milwaukee Public Market, on the corner of Broadway Street and East St. Paul Avenue in the Historic Third Ward in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The red painted aluminum sculpture was installed in 2007 in memory of Jeffry A. Posner.

The 411 East Wisconsin Center is a high-rise located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was built in 1985 on the former site of the Goldsmith Building. It was designed by Chicago architect, Harry Weese. It is the fifth tallest building in Milwaukee, and it was the second tallest building in Milwaukee at the time of its completion, surpassed by the Milwaukee Center in 1988. The building has been home to the Quarles & Brady law firm since 1986 and the von Briesen & Roper law firm since 1985. In 2005 the building was sold by TIAA-CREF to Triple Net Properties, a real estate company based in Santa Ana, California, for $95 million. It had an assessed value of $89.2 million in 2005.In 2014, Riverview Realty Partners, an affiliate of Stamford, Connecticut-based Five Mile Capital Partners purchased the building for $74 million and Quarles & Brady extended their lease for another 10 years. Five Mile Capital Partners plans on undergoing $17.5 Million in renovations to the building.

Milwaukee Public Market is a public market located in the Historic Third Ward neighborhood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Space in the building is leased to vendors, primarily local food businesses. The market's founders drew inspiration for the development from the Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington, envisioning a space that would support smaller, local businesses.Typical food offerings include bakery items, meats, produce, seafood, soup, cheese, spices, wine, coffee, and candies. When the market opened in 2005, it focused primarily on selling raw ingredients, but over time, organizers found that vendors were more successful selling freshly prepared foods. Other vendors offer flowers, gifts, and apparel. The market also includes community space for events. The Milwaukee Public Market building was designed by The Kubala Washatko Architects (TKWA) from Cedarburg, Wisconsin and opened in 2005. The firm states that the steel, glass, and brick material chosen for the building "honors the industrial history of the Third Ward." The initial development cost approximately $10 million and was funded with a mix of private and public funds.The market is served by the new "The Hop" streetcar line, which opened in November 2018.

The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin (in case citations, E.D. Wis.) is a federal trial court of limited jurisdiction. The court is under the auspices of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, although patent claims and claims against the federal government under the Tucker Act are appealed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The Eastern District was established on June 30, 1870.The district's headquarters, central courthouse, and the majority of its offices are located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but the northern counties of the district are serviced by a courthouse in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Currently, Judge Pamela Pepper is the district's chief judge. As of February 22, 2021, the Acting United States Attorney for the District is Richard G. Frohling.

In September 1917, an incident between police and anarchists in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, precipitated a larger campaign of Galleanist attacks across the United States. In response to a rally held by a reverend near their clubhouse, the Galleanist anarchists of the Ferrer Circle rushed the stage and tore down the American flag. The police fired on them, killing two, and two detectives were injured in the crossfire. A retaliatory bomb intended for the reverend was relocated to the police headquarters, where its explosion killed nine detectives and a bystander. No one was convicted for this bombing. The November trial of Bay View anarchists for the earlier shooting incident was influenced by sentiment related to the bombing. The jury returned a quick guilty verdict despite what historian Paul Avrich described as insubstantial evidence. The verdict was overturned on appeal and most of the anarchists were released and deported. Until the September 11 attacks, according to the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services Division, the police station explosion was the worst recorded American police tragedy.

The Pfister Hotel is a luxury AAA Four Diamond Award hotel in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. The Pfister Hotel is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Owned by Guido Pfister and his son, Charles F. Pfister, it was opened in 1893 at a cost of over $1 million. Designed by architect Henry C. Koch in Romanesque Revival style, it had features uncommon in its time like fireproofing, electricity, and thermostat controls. The hotel was purchased by hospitality magnate Ben Marcus in 1962, who renovated the hotel and added a 13-story addition behind the building without compromising the original building itself, and continues to be owned by the Marcus Corporation. The Pfister Hotel has the largest hotel collection of Victorian art in the world. The hotel has held the AAA Four Diamond award for 37 years, since the inception of the ranking itself in 1977.It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the East Side Commercial Historic District. The 1986 National Register nomination states:The Pfister is the last nineteenth century grand hotel remaining in downtown Milwaukee. Local materials were used in its construction with rock-faced, Wauwatosa limestone for the first two floors and cream brick for the third through eighth floors. Indiana limestone and terra cotta were used as trim. Changes to the exterior include the removal of the massive stone portico on the Jefferson Street facade and the closing of an entrance at the southeast corner. The main lobby has been refurbished and restored to resemble its original appearance."

The Iron Block Building is a five-story commercial structure with a cast-iron exterior built in 1860 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1974 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places - the only surviving building in Milwaukee with a cast iron skin - a common technique from 1850 to 1870.

The AT&T Center is a 19-story, 213 foot tall neo-gothic building in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Construction began in 1918 for Wisconsin Telephone and was completed in 1924. It houses the AT&T Wisconsin headquarters.
