Fountain Plaza (formerly Huron) is a Buffalo Metro Rail station located in the 500 block of Main Street between Huron and Chippewa Streets. Fountain Plaza serves the northern section of the Buffalo Downtown Central Business District and the Buffalo Theater District since the permanent closing of Theater station on February 18, 2013. Fountain Plaza is at the north end of the Free Fare Zone, where customers traveling north are required to have proof-of-payment.

40 Fountain Plaza, formerly Key Center South Tower, is a high-rise located in Buffalo, NY. It stands 225 feet (69 m) and 13 stories tall. The building has a twin tower next door, 50 Fountain Plaza (formerly Key Center North Tower), which is four stories taller, and connected by a two-story glass atrium encompassing 18,800 square feet of retail space. The complex was formally known as the Key Center at Fountain Plaza. Both buildings have distinctive pyramid tops that are trimmed with bright green neon lighting which is illumined at night. In the front of the two towers is a large fountain and reflecting pool in the summer. In the winter, it serves as an outdoor ice rink that is free to the public.

Shea's Hippodrome Theatre was a movie house that opened in 1914 in Buffalo, New York. It was renamed the Center Theater, following a renovation in 1951. In 1983, the theater closed and the building was demolished.

Once known as the Key Center, the complex is now simply known as Fountain Plaza after KeyBank moved out. Both buildings have distinctive pyramid tops that are trimmed with bright green neon lighting which is illuminated at night. In the front of the two towers is a large fountain in the summer. In the winter, it serves as an outdoor ice rink that is free to the public.

The Century Theatre, later known as New Century Theatre, was a 3,076-seat theater located at 511 Main Street in Buffalo, New York. It opened in 1921 as a movie theater and was later used as a rock concert venue in the 1970s. Notable past performers include Cheap Trick, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Kansas, Starcastle, The Kinks, Rush and Fleetwood Mac.

Electric Tower (or General Electric Tower) is a historic office building and skyscraper located at the corner of Washington and Genesee Streets in Buffalo. It is the seventh tallest building in Buffalo. It stands 294 feet (89.6 m) and 14 stories tall and is in the Beaux-Arts Classical Revival style. It was designed by James A. Johnson and built in 1912. The tower was based upon an earlier Electric Tower constructed for the 1901 Pan-American Exposition; as with most of the buildings constructed for that event, the original was only temporary and demolished shortly after the fair ended. Additions were made in 1923 and 1928. The white terra-cotta clad was originally built as the Niagara Mohawk Building and features an octagonal tower which steps back three times to terminate in a large lantern. It is also known as Iskalo Electric Tower, for the real estate development company that owns the building.The decorative symbols featuring aspects of electricity production are considered precursors to subsequent art deco design. Like One M & T Plaza, the spire of the tower is illuminated with different holiday colors at night throughout the year. Both buildings are illuminated blue and gold for the Buffalo Sabres during the National Hockey League playoffs. The Electric Tower hosts the annual Buffalo Ball Drop on New Year's Eve, one of the continent's largest ball drops outside the New York City ball drop. Crowds gather in Roosevelt Plaza to celebrate the New Year. The Buffalo Ball Drop is accompanied by live performances and a firework show.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in September 2008.

The Calumet is a historic commercial building located at Buffalo in Erie County, New York. It was designed in 1906, and is a three-story steel frame building covered in decorative architectural terra cotta. The distinctive glazed white and burnt sienna terra cotta is detailed with a centrally located reed or running stem and four leaves depicting the Calamus palm.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Lafayette Square (officially Evans Bank @ Lafayette Square since November 8, 2019 for sponsorship purposes) is a Buffalo Metro Rail station near City Hall and is near the center of the Buffalo Central Business District at Lafayette Square located in the 400 block of Main Street (between Lafayette Square and Mohawk Streets) in the Free Fare Zone, which allows passengers free travel between Erie Canal Harbor station and Fountain Plaza station. Passengers continuing northbound past Fountain Plaza are required to have proof-of-payment. Lafayette Square station is the closest to the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, located one block east at Washington and Clinton Streets. On February 28, 2019, The Buffalo News announced that Evans Bank, which opened its downtown headquarters in the Main-Court Building the previous October, bought the naming rights to the station for nearly $161,000 for five years and nearly $352,000 if extended to 10 years.

Sinclair, Rooney & Co. Building, also known as the Remington Rand Building and Sperry-Rand Building, is a historic building located in downtown Buffalo, Erie County, New York. It was designed by the architecture firm Esenwein & Johnson and built between 1909 and 1911. The building is representative of Commercial Style architecture. The six-story, steel frame and concrete, "L"-shaped building is clad in yellow brick and consists of a rectangular main block, approximately 60-feet by 164-feet, with an extension of approximately 30-feet by 63-feet. It features brick pilasters that extend to the sixth floor, where they are capped by ornamental brick brackets and dentil molding below the roofline. It was built for Sinclair, Rooney, & Co., wholesale milliners, and later occupied by Remington Rand Corporation and its successor Sperry-Rand. The building housed offices and light manufacturing activities.: 3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

The Rand Building is a skyscraper and the second tallest building in Buffalo, New York. At the time it was built in 1929, it was the tallest in the city at a height of 405 feet (123 m). The building was built on the site of the 1903 Olympic Theatre and it has been suggested that the Rand Building was the inspiration for the Empire State Building.

The Harlow C. Curtiss Building, is a historic building located at Buffalo in Erie County, New York. Originally built for office use, the building was named for its owner Harlow Clarke Curtiss, a prominent Buffalo attorney and real estate investor. The building design resembles elements of the works of renowned Chicago architects such as Daniel Burnham and Louis Sullivan, both of whom also designed buildings in Buffalo. The Curtiss Building was designed by Buffalo-based architect Paul F. Mann, who was a brother-in-law of Curtiss. The building is one of the largest terra cotta structures of its type and period in downtown Buffalo.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Shea's Performing Arts Center (originally Shea's Buffalo) is a theater for touring Broadway musicals and special events in Buffalo, New York. Originally called Shea's Buffalo, it was opened in 1926 to show silent movies. It took one year to build the entire theatre. Shea's boasts one of the few theater organs in the US that is still in operation in the theater for which it was designed.
