Calella is a municipality in the Maresme region of Spain, located 50 km from Barcelona, 50 km from Girona, and 6 km from the Montnegre-Corredor Natural Park. Calella is known as the “tourist capital of the Costa del Maresme.” Its climate is Mediterranean. It has an urban layout with a central pedestrian and commercial area, green spaces, and accommodation for tourists.Calella has beaches spanning 3 km with around 180,000 square miles of golden sand. It has natural areas such as Dalmau Park, Manuel Puigvert promenade, Garbí promenade, The Lighthouse, and The Turrets.Calella has approximately 700 years of history.In recent years, Catella has attempted to pivot its economy towards sport, health, cultural and family tourism.

The Calella Lighthouse is an active lighthouse situated in the coastal town of Calella in Costa del Maresme, 58 km northeast of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain.Its construction began on 9 October 1856, and the engineer responsible for the project was Marià Parellada. The lighthouse was inaugurated on 15 December 1859. With an elevation of 50 metres (160 ft) above sea level, the light can be seen for 18 nautical miles (33 km).

Sant Pau was a Spanish restaurant in Sant Pol de Mar, Catalonia (Spain), a town between Barcelona and Girona. In 2009 it was awarded three Michelin stars and three Campsa-Repsol suns. Its chef is Carme Ruscalleda, and the dining room was directed by Toni Balam. In 2006 Sant Pau opened a branch in Chuo-ku, Tokyo which currently has 2 Michelin stars.In 2018, Carme Ruscalleda closed the restaurant in Sant Pol de Mar.

Pineda de Mar is a municipality in the comarca of the Maresme in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the coast between Calella and Santa Susanna. The main N-II road and a RENFE railway line run through the town. The town centre has several historical buildings from the 17th to the 19th centuries. Four arches survive of a Roman aqueduct over the Pineda river. The local basketball team is called UER Pineda.

The Sant Pol de Mar bus crash was a traffic accident which occurred on the evening of 30 July 2009 in Sant Pol de Mar, near Barcelona, in north-eastern Spain. A double-decker bus carrying Dutch tourists left the highway on a bend at the exit for the town, hit a car and a metal crash barrier and overturned. Six Dutch tourists were killed and between 36 and 44 people, including the driver, were injured, some seriously.

Sant Cebrià de Vallalta is a municipality in the comarca of the Maresme in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated inland from the coast, in the valley of the Sant Pol river below the Montnegre range. A local road links the town with Arenys de Munt and with Sant Pol de Mar.

Hortsavinyà is a village within the municipality of Tordera in the comarca of Maresme, province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.The GR 92 long distance footpath, which roughly follows the length of the Mediterranean coast of Spain, has a staging point at Hortsavinyà. Stage 13 links northwards to Tordera, a distance of 12.8 kilometres (8.0 mi), whilst stage 14 links southwards to Vallgorguina, a distance of 17.4 kilometres (10.8 mi).

Canet de Mar (Catalan pronunciation: [kaˈnɛd də ˈmaɾ]) is a municipality in the comarca of the Maresme in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the coast between Arenys de Mar and Sant Pol de Mar. el Corredor and el Montnegre ranges. It is a tourist centre, but is also known for the cultivation of flowers and strawberries and for having several modernist style buildings. It is served by the main N-II road along the coast, the highway C-32 and by a station on the RENFE railway line. Canet de Mar is in the province of Barcelona (Spain), 43 kilometers from Barcelona.

The Lluís Domènech i Montaner House-Museum (Catalan: Casa Museu Lluís Domènech i Montaner), in Canet de Mar, in the region of El Maresme, is a space dedicated to the study of the life and works of architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. The House-Museum includes the Domènech house, a work of the architect in collaboration with his son, Pere Domènech and his son-in-law, Francesc Guàrdia, and the 16th-century Can Rocosa farmhouse, which Domènech i Montaner converted into his workshop-study. The House-Museum is part of the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network.

The Castle of Santa Florentina (Spanish: Castillo de Santa Florentina) is an 11th-century medieval castle in Canet de Mar, Catalonia, Spain. It was built on the foundations of an Ancient Roman villa by Guadimir de Canet (born 1024). In the 16th century, it passed into the hands of Dimas Muntaner. In 1908, it hosted King Alfonso XIII, who made the castle's owner Ramon de Montaner i Vila count of Canet. In 1910, the castle was expanded and renovated by the modernist architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, and its facade acquired some gargoyles by the sculptor Carles Flotats i Galtés. The magazine Architectural Digest covered the castle as among the "most beautiful houses in the world" in 1998 on account of its harmonious fusion of Gothic and Modernist designs. The castle is listed as a cultural heritage monument (Bien de Interés Cultural), no. RI-51-0005232. It is private property and hosts a museum that can be visited by appointment, as well as a yearly festival of classical music. Among the museum's collections are many works by Catalan artists dating back to the early 20th century. In 2015, the castle was selected as a setting for the sixth season of the fantasy television series Game of Thrones.

Malgrat de Mar is a municipality in the comarca of the Maresme, in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the Costa Brava between Santa Susanna and Blanes. A local road runs from the town to the main N-II road, while the B-682 connects it with Blanes, Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar. It is served by a RENFE railway station on the R1 line between Barcelona and Maçanet-Massanes.
