Whitton, Shropshire

Greete is a hamlet and civil parish in Shropshire, England. It is situated between the villages of Caynham and Burford, about 5.2 miles (8.4 km) southeast of Ludlow. To the west flows Ledwyche Brook, which is the border with Herefordshire. The area is hilly and through the middle of the parish flows the Stoke Brook.There is a church, dedicated to St James, which remains in use by the Church of England (Greete falling within the Diocese of Hereford).

Knowbury is a small village near Ludlow in Shropshire, England. It is located in the civil parish of Caynham. It is near to Clee Hill Village and had a part-time Post Office - now closed. There were two adjacent public houses in the village, on Hope Bagot Lane - the Penny Black, and the Bennett's End. The Bennett's End continues to be a pub, though the Penny Black is now closed.The Elan aqueduct passes through the area and crosses the Colly Brook valley (including Cumberley Lane) on the impressive Bennett's End Aqueduct.

Knowle is a small village in Shropshire, England. It lies largely in the civil parish of Nash. It is 0.7 miles (1.1 km) south of the larger village of Cleehill (which has a primary school, two pubs and several shops) on the B4214 road to Tenbury Wells.The football club "Clee Hill United" play their home games at Knowle Sports Ground, the highest venue in the Mercian Regional Football League at an elevation of 935–950 feet (285-290m).

Cleehill is a village in south Shropshire, England. It is sometimes written as Clee Hill Village (including the road sign entering the village) to avoid confusion. It lies in the civil parish of Caynham. The market towns of Ludlow and Cleobury Mortimer are both 5.5 miles (8.9 km) distant, Ludlow to the west and Cleobury to the east. It lies on the slope of Titterstone Clee Hill and, lying between 1,120 feet (340 m) and 1,250 feet (380 m) above sea level, it is one of the highest settlements in the county.

It can be accessed via the A4117 or the A49 roads and is located 2+1⁄2 miles (4 km) southeast of the market town of Ludlow. The civil parish includes the village of Cleehill and has an area of 953 hectares (2,350 acres).

Tenbury Wells railway station was a station in Burford, Shropshire, England. Serving the town of Tenbury Wells across the River Teme in Worcestershire, the station was opened in 1861 and closed in 1962.The station was named "Tenbury" at opening on 1 August 1861. It originally formed the eastern terminus of the Tenbury Railway, a five-mile branch from Woofferton, but became a through station in August 1864 with the opening of the Tenbury and Bewdley Railway which completed the line to Bewdley. The station was renamed "Tenbury Wells" on 14 November 1912. The former Tenbury Railway closed on 31 July 1961, but Tenbury Wells Station remained in use for passenger traffic to Bewdley until 1 August 1962.Tenbury Station was demolished and factory units built on its site, Wells drinks occupied the site before being sold to Kerry Foods.

Burford was a Rural district in Shropshire in England from 1894 to 1934. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 that part of the Tenbury rural sanitary district which was in Shropshire (the bulk forming Tenbury Rural District in Worcestershire). It consisted of the parishes of Boraston, Burford, Greete, Nash and Whitton. It was abolished in 1934 by a county review order made under the Local Government Act 1929, with its area being transferred to the Ludlow Rural District.

Nash is a small village and civil parish located in Shropshire, England, situated south east of Ludlow and north of Tenbury Wells. The parish had a population of 305 at the 2001 census, increasing to 405 at the 2011 census. The civil parish includes the small village of Knowle.
