Xaverian High School

The Staten Island Tunnel is an abandoned, incomplete railway/subway tunnel in New York City. It was intended to connect railways on Staten Island (precursors to the modern-day Staten Island Railway) to the BMT Fourth Avenue Line of the New York City Subway, in Brooklyn, via a new crossing under the Narrows. Planned to extend 10,400 feet (3,200 m), the tunnel would have been among the world's longest at the time of its planning, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Construction began in 1923, and the tunnel was excavated 150 feet (46 m) into the Narrows before New York City Mayor John Hylan, a former Brooklyn–Manhattan Transit Corporation (BMT) employee and initial proponent of the tunnel, canceled the project in 1925. The tunnel lies dormant under Owl's Head Park in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Later proposals to complete the tunnel, including the 1939 plans for the Independent Subway System's ambitious Second System, were never funded. Modern proposals for completion of the tunnel have come from New York City Councilman Lewis Fidler, who in 2007 proposed a 0.33% tax for the tri-state region to pay for the construction. The tunnel was listed as one of many projects that could receive federal funds that were to have been allocated to the Access to the Region's Core tunnel, which was canceled in October 2010. State Senator Diane Savino was among the supporters of the tunnel; Savino stated that if built, the tunnel would cost $3 billion and would improve quality of life for Staten Islanders, reduce traffic, and increase the attractiveness of the borough for investment.

The houses at 216–264 Ovington Ave. form a national historic district in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York, New York. It consists of 20 contributing residential buildings built between 1908 and 1910. They are brownstone rowhouses with bowed fronts in the Neo-Renaissance style. The houses are two or three stories in height.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

The 65th Street Yard, also Bay Ridge Rail Yard, is a rail yard on the Upper New York Bay in Sunset Park and Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Equipped with two transfer bridges which allow rail cars to be loaded and unloaded onto car floats, the last of once extensive car float operations in the Port of New York and New Jersey. Located adjacent to the Brooklyn Army Terminal, it provided a major link in the city's rail freight network in the first half of the twentieth century. It was later used as a conventional railroad yard at the end of the LIRR/NY&A Bay Ridge Branch. The new transfer bridges were constructed in 1999, but remained unused until the transfer bridges were activated in July 2012.

It consists of 40 contributing residential buildings (including two garages) built between 1906 and 1912. They are all three story brownstone rowhouses in the Neo-Renaissance style. The houses feature high stoops and full sized subterranean basements.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Bay Ridge United Methodist Church, originally known as Grace Methodist Episcopal Church, was a historic Methodist church at 7002 Fourth Avenue and Ovington Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York, New York. It was designed by architect George W. Kramer.It was built in 1899 in the Romanesque Revival style. It was built of green serpentine stone and trimmed in brown stone. It featured a four-stage, crenelated clock tower. Also on the property was the contributing Sunday School building built in 1926–1927.The church was demolished October 21, 2008.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The station opened on January 15, 1916, as part of an extension of the BMT Fourth Avenue Line from 59th Street to 86th Street. The station's platforms were lengthened in 1926–1927 and in 1968-1970.

Construction on the segment of the line that includes Bay Ridge Avenue started on January 24, 1913, and was completed in 1915. The 65th Street Terminal station was a station on the demolished section of the BMT Fifth Avenue Line in Brooklyn, New York City. It was served by trains of the BMT Fifth Avenue Line, and despite the name of the line was actually located at Third Avenue and 65th Street. It had two tracks and one island platform. The station had connections to the Bay Ridge Suburban Line, Bay Ridge Line, Third Avenue Line, and 86th Street Suburban Line trolleys. Today, the western terminus of the Belt Parkway at the interchange with the Gowanus Expressway can be found in the vicinity.

High School of Telecommunication Arts and Technology is a public high school in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.It was established in the 1980s with a focus on preparing students for careers working with computers, including by teaching about word processing and databases. It has a software engineering program.It is located at 350 67th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11220. It has 1300 students.The school is a Gothic style building. It was formerly Bay Ridge High School. As Bay Ridge High school, it was all girls, but it is now coed.In 2016, the building established a rooftop greenhouse for teaching about botany and food production.
