Aldersley Junction (grid reference SJ902011) is the name of the canal junction where the Birmingham Main Line Canal terminates and meets the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal near to Oxley, north Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. It opened in 1772.

Stafford Road railway station served the city of Wolverhampton, England from 1850 to 1852 on the Wolverhampton-Shrewsbury line. The station opened in October 1850 by the Shrewsbury and Birmingham Railway. The station was situated to the west of Stafford Road at the present site of Stafford Road Junction. The station was served by six trains on Mondays to Saturdays with two on Sundays in both directions between Wolverhampton Temporary and Shrewsbury. It was a short distance from Wolverhampton station and so Stafford Road proved to be unprofitable and closed completely in June or July 1852.There is no evidence of the station's existence today.

It is situated in the north of the city, bordering South Staffordshire and the Bushbury North, Bushbury South and Low Hill, St Peter's and Tettenhall Regis wards. It forms part of the Wolverhampton North East constituency.

Aldersley is a small suburb of Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. It is north-west of Wolverhampton city centre, within the Tettenhall Regis ward. Aldersley is a relatively modern part of Wolverhampton, with most of the housing stock – both private and council – dating from after World War II. The Smestow Valley Leisure Ride starts from there and the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal passes through the area. It is famous for WV Active Aldersley, formerly named Aldersley Leisure Village and Aldersley Stadium – home of the Wolverhampton & Bilston Athletics Club, Wolverhampton Wheelers Cycling Club who use its 450-metre tarmac banked velodrome and recently the Professional Darts Corporation Grand Slam of Darts between 2018 and 2022.

The South Staffordshire Railway Walk is located in Staffordshire, England. It runs for five and a half miles (about 8.85 km) from Castlecroft to Wall Heath. It is a local nature reserve.

Smestow Valley Leisure Ride is an approximately 10 miles (16 km) long cycle path linking Aldersley Leisure Village in Aldersley, Wolverhampton following the route of the disused Wombourne Branchline to the disused Wombourne railway station. From Wombourne station, the route follows the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal back to Aldersley Leisure Village forming a circular route. Refreshments are provided at both locations. The route passes near Wightwick Manor, Bratch Locks and the Old Station Tettenhall.

The Goodyear chimney was a landmark on the Goodyear factory on Stafford Road, Wolverhampton, England. It was 200 feet (60 m) high and weighed 3,000 long tons (3,000 t). Work started on building the chimney in October 1927, with the mayor of Wolverhampton laying the first brick. In 2008 the factory and chimney were demolished. An Oxley primary school pupil and a former Goodyear worker had the privilege of pressing the firing button.

Dunstall Park railway station was a station north of Wolverhampton Low Level railway station on the Great Western Railway's London Paddington to Birkenhead via Birmingham Snow Hill line. The station opened on 1 December 1896. Stafford Road engine shed and works and Oxley shed were nearby. It saw high traffic due to the nearby Wolverhampton Racecourse but closed in 1968 when services between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury were switched to Wolverhampton High Level. It was the first stop north from the Low Level station, and was served by local trains towards Shrewsbury, as well as those on the Wombourne Branch Line to Stourbridge. The station site has since been demolished although freight and passenger trains still pass through the site. There is a bricked up pedestrian entrance and ramp to the former station. Immediately south of the station site is the short connecting line to the Stafford-Wolverhampton line. This freight-only line was mostly used by coal trains to Ironbridge Power Station in recent years.
