Viera East, Florida

Viera (pronounced /vjɛrə/) is an affluent, master-planned community located in the central coastal region of Brevard County, Florida. It is part of an unincorporated section adjacent to the Melbourne, Florida area. For census purposes, it is divided between the Census Designated Places of Viera East and Viera West. At the 2020 census, Viera East had a population of 11,687, while Viera West had a population of 16,688.

WLRQ-FM (99.3 MHz "Lite Rock 99.3") is a commercial radio station licensed to Cocoa, Florida, and serving the Space Coast including Melbourne and Brevard County. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc.. It broadcasts an adult contemporary radio format, switching to Christmas music for much of November and December. On weekdays, WLRQ-FM carries syndicated shows from John Tesh "Intelligence for Your Life" in middays and Delilah's request and dedication show in the evening. Saturday mornings feature the Ellen K show from co-owned KOST Los Angeles. WLRQ-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 50,000 watts. The station broadcasts using HD Radio technology. The HD-2 digital subchannel formerly carried a beach music and oldies format.

Viera High School is a public high school located in Viera, Florida, United States. It is part of the Brevard County School District.

The United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) is a volunteer, sports governing body and a nonprofit organization[2][3] based in Viera, Florida. Originally USSSA stood for United States Slowpitch Softball Association. However, in 1998, USSSA rebranded the name to United States Specialty Sports Association, because it expanded into other sports, including youth girls fastpitch, boys baseball, youth basketball, martial arts and more. USSSA governs 13 sports across the US, Puerto Rico, various US Military bases and Canada, and has a membership of over 3.7 million. In 2017, it generated $25.3 million in revenues.USSSA was originally founded in 1968 in Petersburg, Virginia, but moved to a new headquarters in Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Florida in the spring of 2017. USSSA took over the Space Coast Stadium complex from the Washington Nationals baseball club. The complex is a new $50 million state-of-the-art multi-purpose complex with 15 multi-purpose, all-turf fields and a new 18,000-square-foot (1,700 m2) building which houses the USSSA National Hall of Fame and Sports Museum.

USSSA Space Coast Complex is a baseball stadium and 13 diamond multi-sports facility in Viera, Florida, owned by Brevard County, Florida. Under its original name, Space Coast Stadium, it served as the spring training facility for the Florida Marlins (1994–2002), Montreal Expos (2003–2004), and Washington Nationals (2005–2016) and as the home field of the Brevard County Manatees (1994–2016). After a full year of renovations, it officially reopened in 2017 with its new name as a baseball/softball venue – part of a new multi-sport complex operated by the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA). Since 2017, it has been the home field of the USSSA Pride women's professional fast-pitch softball team.

Brevard Public Schools is a school district serving Brevard County, Florida, and based in Viera, Florida. In 2015, the district had about 74,000 students. 24% attend a school other than the one to which they are assigned. In 2009, the school board was Brevard's largest local government employer with 9,500 workers of whom 5,000 are teachers. The superintendent of schools is Dr. Mark Rendell

Viera West is a census-designated place (CDP) in Brevard County, Florida, United States. The population was 16,688 at the 2020 census. It forms a part of the larger unincorporated community of Viera and is part of the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Brevard County ( brə-VARD) is a county located in the east central portion of the U.S. state of Florida. As of the 2020 census, the population was 606,612, making it the 10th-most populated county in Florida. The official county seat is located in Titusville. Brevard County comprises the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is located along the east Florida coast and bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. Brevard Zoo is a 75-acre nonprofit facility located in Melbourne, Florida, United States, that is home to more than 900 animals representing more than 195 species from Florida, South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia. The zoo features animal feedings, kayak tours, behind-the-scenes tours, and a train ride, along with the attraction Treetop Trek. The zoo has also featured a dinosaur exhibit several times in its past, including one titled "Dinosaurs are Back", which ran from November 2017 to April 2018. Brevard Zoo is a nonprofit organization accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The zoo is divided into five loops: Expedition Africa, Lands of Change: Australia and Beyond, Wild Florida, Rainforest Revealed, and Paws On. These loops are accessed off of the main loop that encircles the flamingo pond.

The Marion S. Whaley Citrus Packing House (also known as the Sullivan Brothers Victory Groves Citrus Packing House) was a historic site in Rockledge, Florida. It is located at 2275 U.S. 1. On April 8, 1993, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Georgiana is a populated place located on Merritt Island in Brevard County, Florida at latitude 28.288673N and longitude 80.671398W. The elevation is 10 feet. It is about five miles south of the 520 Causeway, situated where the island is about a half-mile wide.
