USSSA Space Coast Complex

The United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) is a volunteer, sports governing body and a nonprofit organization[2][3] based in Viera, Florida. Originally USSSA stood for United States Slowpitch Softball Association. However, in 1998, USSSA rebranded the name to United States Specialty Sports Association, because it expanded into other sports, including youth girls fastpitch, boys baseball, youth basketball, martial arts and more. USSSA governs 13 sports across the US, Puerto Rico, various US Military bases and Canada, and has a membership of over 3.7 million. In 2017, it generated $25.3 million in revenues.USSSA was originally founded in 1968 in Petersburg, Virginia, but moved to a new headquarters in Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Florida in the spring of 2017. USSSA took over the Space Coast Stadium complex from the Washington Nationals baseball club. The complex is a new $50 million state-of-the-art multi-purpose complex with 15 multi-purpose, all-turf fields and a new 18,000-square-foot (1,700 m2) building which houses the USSSA National Hall of Fame and Sports Museum.

Viera High School is a public high school located in Viera, Florida, United States. It is part of the Brevard County School District.

Viera West is a census-designated place (CDP) in Brevard County, Florida, United States. The population was 16,688 at the 2020 census. It forms a part of the larger unincorporated community of Viera and is part of the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Viera (pronounced /vjɛrə/) is an affluent, master-planned community located in the central coastal region of Brevard County, Florida. It is part of an unincorporated section adjacent to the Melbourne, Florida area. For census purposes, it is divided between the Census Designated Places of Viera East and Viera West. At the 2020 census, Viera East had a population of 11,687, while Viera West had a population of 16,688.

Brevard Zoo is a 75-acre nonprofit facility located in Melbourne, Florida, United States, that is home to more than 900 animals representing more than 195 species from Florida, South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia. The zoo features animal feedings, kayak tours, behind-the-scenes tours, and a train ride, along with the attraction Treetop Trek. The zoo has also featured a dinosaur exhibit several times in its past, including one titled "Dinosaurs are Back", which ran from November 2017 to April 2018. Brevard Zoo is a nonprofit organization accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The zoo is divided into five loops: Expedition Africa, Lands of Change: Australia and Beyond, Wild Florida, Rainforest Revealed, and Paws On. These loops are accessed off of the main loop that encircles the flamingo pond.

WLRQ-FM (99.3 MHz "Lite Rock 99.3") is a commercial radio station licensed to Cocoa, Florida, and serving the Space Coast including Melbourne and Brevard County. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc.. It broadcasts an adult contemporary radio format, switching to Christmas music for much of November and December. On weekdays, WLRQ-FM carries syndicated shows from John Tesh "Intelligence for Your Life" in middays and Delilah's request and dedication show in the evening. Saturday mornings feature the Ellen K show from co-owned KOST Los Angeles. WLRQ-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 50,000 watts. The station broadcasts using HD Radio technology. The HD-2 digital subchannel formerly carried a beach music and oldies format.

As of the 2020 census, the population was 606,612, making it the 10th-most populated county in Florida. The official county seat is located in Titusville. The county offices were developed to serve the more populous southern part of the long county. Most county offices and the primary court facility are now based in Viera.

The Persimmon Mound is a historic site near Rockledge, Florida, located approximately 10 miles southwest of Rockledge on the east bank of a former channel of the St. Johns River. On 14 April 1994 it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It is located in the Seminole Ranch Conservation Area/Seminole Ranch Wildlife Management Area.

The Marion S. Whaley Citrus Packing House (also known as the Sullivan Brothers Victory Groves Citrus Packing House) was a historic site in Rockledge, Florida. It is located at 2275 U.S. 1. On April 8, 1993, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Rockledge is the oldest city in Brevard County, Florida. The city's population was 24,926 at the 2010 United States Census, and is part of the Palm Bay−Melbourne−Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area.
