Greenbriar Mall is a shopping mall in the Greenbriar neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia that opened in 1965. The anchor stores are Beauty Master, Dollar Tree, Greenbriar Furniture, and Citi Trends. There are 2 vacant anchor stores that were once Burlington and Fallas. It was home to the first Chick-fil-A location.

Daniel McLaughlin Therrell High School is a public high school located near Interstate 285 and Greenbriar Mall in southwest Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Three schools operate at the Therrell campus: D. M. Therrell School of Health Science and Research D. M. Therrell School of Law, Government and Public Policy School for Technology, Engineering, Math and Science at Therrell (STEMS)

Ben Hill Park is a 13.66-acre (55,300 m2) community park in the Ben Hill neighborhood of southwest Atlanta, Georgia.It includes one recreation center, one covered basketball court, two tennis courts, and one multipurpose baseball/football field. The recreation center was later renamed to William Walker Recreation Center, in honor of the longtime director, William Walker.

Ben Hill United Methodist Church is a United Methodist Church in the predominantly Black neighborhood of Ben Hill, Atlanta, in the US state of Georgia. It started in 1853 in a log cabin and was called "Wesley Chapel". The congregation moved to Ben Hill in 1926, and when in the 1960s that neighborhood become mostly Black, the church chose to accept that and integrate. By 1974 the church had become predominantly Black, with Cornelius Henderson as its first Black pastor, and the church grew--from 400 members in 1974 to 4,000 in 1986. Under his successor, Walter Kimbrough Sr., that membership increased to 6,000 by 1989, making Ben Hill UMC "reportedly the largest African American congregation of the United Methodist Church". Its "spiritual awakening and phenomenal numerical growth" are ascribed to its incorporation of "African traditions of call and response" and a neo-Pentecostal style.

WTJH was an AM broadcasting station licensed to the city of East Point, Georgia, United States, broadcasting on the frequency of 1260 kHz with 5,000 Watts of power during daytime hours, and only 39 Watts of power during nighttime hours with a non-directional antenna pattern. The station served the Atlanta radio market. WTJH's programming consisted of Gospel Music and Christian religious programs. WTJH was owned by (Bishop) Levi E. Willis Sr. through Willis Broadcasting Company with license holder Christian Broadcasting of East Point, Inc. In 2004, WTJH's owner Levi E. Willis Sr. and Willis Broadcasting had been in violation of a number of technical and public safety rules enforced by the Federal Communications Commission. The dispute was eventually settled in 2004 through sale of property held by the company.In December 2009 and again in March 2010, the station filed letters and applications to the Federal Communications Commission for the station to go silent. The FCC approved the request but the station was required to come back on the air by November 30, 2010, or the broadcast license would be revoked. On July 24, 2014, the FCC notified the owners that the station's license was deemed to be expired as of November 29, 2010, due to the station being remaining silent for well in excess of twelve months.

WMDG (1260 AM; "Fox FM") is a radio station broadcasting a classic hits format. Licensed to East Point, Georgia, the station serves the Atlanta metropolitan area. The station is owned by Christopher Murray’s Georgia Radio Alliance Atlanta, LLC. As of August 30, 2022, WMDG is now a part of the classic hits formatted "Fox FM" branded stations across Georgia. "Fox FM" is programmed by former WSTR "Star 94" midday host Kevin Steele; Steele also hosts mornings on "Fox FM." Aside from Steele, other local personalities on the station include Jeremy "Hawk" Hawkins, who hosts afternoons on "Fox FM," (Hawkins also serves as Fox FM's voice-over talent) and former WKHX night jock TJ Kelley who hosts the Totally 80's Friday Night show. Syndicated programming on Fox FM includes Daily Dees hosted by Rick Dees in middays and Scott Shannon Presents America's Greatest Hits on weekends. WMDG, as well as translators W271CV at 102.1 and W261DL at 100.1 are the main stations in the Atlanta Fox network of stations owned by Georgia Radio Alliance. Simulcasters of WMDG include WFDR 1370 AM along with an FM translator at 97.3 in Manchester, Georgia, and WBAF 1090 AM along with an FM translator at 104.9 in Barnesville, Georgia. A localized Fox network also exists in Macon, Georgia with WFXM-HD3/W234CQ 94.7 being the main station of that network. Macon's Fox is also simulcasted in Warner Robins on WBML 1350/95.5 W238CG. Macon's Fox programming and music is identical to Atlanta aside from stopsets and imaging.

East Point is a suburban city located southwest of Atlanta in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 38,358. The city name is derived from being at the opposite end of the former Atlanta & West Point Railroad from West Point.

Dick Lane Velodrome, constructed in 1974, is a bicycle racing facility inspired by a group of residents and City officials that visited the Munich Olympics. Located eight miles south of downtown Atlanta, the Velodrome is 321.8 metres (1,056 ft) and 36° banked concrete track, set in Sumner park in a residential part of East Point. The City of East Point owns the facility and has a long-term partnership with East Point Velodrome Association, Inc. (EPVA) to manage it. It is one of 22 active velodromes in the United States.Dick Lane was the director of the East Point Recreation District and a member of the Georgia State Legislature.EPVA is a volunteer-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, care, and growth of the Dick Lane Velodrome, located in East Point, Georgia. EPVA conducts Youth Service Activities at no cost to the city or state. These activities include a Youth Cycling League (for kids 8-12), Summer Camps (kids 13-16), and Bicycle Safety Clinics.The Dick Lane Velodrome is a member of the American Track Racing Association (ATRA). ATRA is the governing body for the majority of velodromes in the country. The EPVA sits on the board of the Georgia Bicycle Racing Association (GBRA). GBRA is the USA Cycling (USAC) local association for all USAC races in Georgia.

Utoy, Georgia was a small village located along Utoy Creek in present-day Fulton County, Georgia, USA. The vicinity, now part of metropolitan Atlanta, was the scene of the August 1864 Battle of Utoy Creek during the American Civil War and is today the site of Utoy Indian Village, a tourist center with renditions of historic Native-American structures and which offers a "Civil War Battlefield Tour."

The Battle of Utoy Creek was fought August 4–7, 1864, during the Atlanta Campaign of the American Civil War. Maj. Gen. William T. Sherman's Union armies had partially encircled the city of Atlanta, Georgia, which was being held by Confederate forces under the command of General John Bell Hood. Sherman had at this point adopted a strategy of attacking the railroad lines into Atlanta, hoping to cut off his enemies' supplies. This was the third direct attack on Confederate positions during the campaign and the effect of success would have ended the siege and won Atlanta on 6 August 1864.

Eva L. Thomas High School was a high school for African Americans in College Park, Georgia established in 1964, and closed in 1969. It was named after Atlanta Public Schools educator Eva Louise Thomas, who died less than a year before the school opened. In 1969, the local Board of Education decided to close the school after pressure from the federal government to desegregate, which was met with protests by students and parents. Students moved to schools nearby for the 1970 school year, including the previously all-white College Park High School. The site was repurposed as a middle school until 1980, and currently houses the College Park Elementary School. The school's basketball team, the Bearcats, won a state championship in 1969. Donald Dollar was the coach. The team competed in the Georgia Interscholastic Association. A report was published on identifying students with special needs at the school in 1965.

Carver College is a private Bible college located in Atlanta, Georgia. It was established in 1943 as the Carver Bible Institute. The institute was founded by Solomon Randolph, a Black pastor in Atlanta, and Grace and Talmage Payne, graduates of the Moody Bible Institute. It was named after the agricultural scientist George Washington Carver. The campus underwent major renovations in 1997, including remodeling the administration building, the gymnasium and establishing a new bookstore for the campus. The college received full accreditation from the Association for Biblical Higher Education in 2006. In 2009, the Carver Bible College was renamed Carver College.As of 2017, Carver had a total enrollment of 60 students. The undergraduate tuition was approximately $12,000. It offers undergraduate programs in Business Administration, Psychology, and Biblical Studies.Carver's athletics teams are known as the Cougars and compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association. The athletic program was established in 1998.
