Waddow Hall

Low Moor is a hamlet which is part of the town of Clitheroe, located in Lancashire, England. It is situated two miles southwest of Clitheroe proper. It is significant for being a well documented mill village.

Clitheroe railway station serves the town of Clitheroe in Lancashire, England. The station is the northern terminus of the Ribble Valley Line / Clitheroe Line operated by Northern Trains and is 10 miles (16 km) north of Blackburn. The station forms part of Clitheroe Interchange, which has won a number of awards.

Clitheroe Interchange is the main transport interchange in the market town of Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley district in Lancashire, England. It consists of several bus stops, Clitheroe railway station and a coach parking space. It is operated and maintained by Lancashire County Council. All trains are run by Northern. The ticket and information office permanently closed on 5 February 2020 due to a loss in funding.

Moorland School is a selective independent day and boarding school situated in the Ribble Valley, Clitheroe in North West England. The original building is a listed building, situated in 15 acres (61,000 m2) of countryside.

St Helen's Church is in the village of Waddington, Lancashire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Whalley, the archdeaconry of Blackburn, and the Diocese of Blackburn. Its benefice is united with that of St Catherine, West Bradford. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Waddington is a small village, 2 miles (3 km) north-west of Clitheroe in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 1,028. Before the 1974 county boundary changes, Waddington fell just within the Bowland Rural District of the West Riding of Yorkshire. It covers approximately 2000 acres of the Forest of Bowland.

Clitheroe Castle is a ruined early medieval castle in Clitheroe in Lancashire, England. It was the caput of the Honour of Clitheroe, a vast estate stretching along the western side of the Pennines.Its earliest history is debated but it is thought to be of Norman origin, probably built in the twelfth century. Property of the de Lacy family, the honour later merged with the earldom and then Duchy of Lancaster. Given to George Monck, 1st Duke of Albemarle in 1660, the castle site remained in private ownership until 1920, when it was sold to the people of Clitheroe to create a war memorial. Today the buildings on the site are the home of Clitheroe Castle Museum. The keep is the second smallest surviving stone-built keep in England. The castle was listed as a Scheduled Monument on 10 April 1915 (and later, under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979 law). It was Grade I listed on 19 May 1950.

Bashall Brook is a minor river in Lancashire, England. It is 7.09 miles (11.41 km) long and has a catchment area of 6.86 square miles (1,777.68 ha).The stream rises at Browsholme Tarn on Browsholme Moor descending through Braddup Clough where it collects Elm Clough and flows south and east past Bashall Eaves, meeting Cow Hey Brook before turning northeast to collect Hollins Clough near Back Ridge Farm. It again turns south, passing the Shireburn Caravan Park at Waddington before joining the River Ribble at the Low Moor area of Clitheroe.

The Limy Water is a minor river in Lancashire, England. It is 4.95 miles (7.96 km) long and has a catchment area of 7.71 square miles (1,996.33 ha).The stream rises on the hillside close to Crown Point in Habergham Eaves near Burnley, just east of the Clowbridge Reservoir which it feeds. After exiting the reservoir and crossing the A682 Burnley Road it heads southwest to the Hillside Fishery at Loveclough. Along the way it is augmented by several small streams, notably those which fall through Bank, Whin Hill and Great Cloughs, on the southern slopes of Hameldon. Turning gradually to the south, it flows on to Goodshaw. Continuing past Crawshawbooth, it joins the River Irwell in the centre of Rawtenstall.

The North West Sound Archive, founded in Manchester in 1979, was the largest archive of sound recordings in the UK outside of London, with over 140,000 items. It was relocated to Clitheroe in 1982, where it occupied the third floor of the Clitheroe Castle Museum. 53.8702°N 2.3931°W / 53.8702; -2.3931 It was closed in 2015 for financial reasons, and its materials relocated to the Manchester Central Library, Liverpool Central Library, and the Lancashire Archives, according to the location to which the material related.

St Mary Magdalene's Church is located in Church Street, Clitheroe, Lancashire, England. It is the Anglican parish church of the town, and is in the deanery of Whalley, the archdeaconry of Blackburn, and the diocese of Blackburn. The church, dedicated to Jesus' companion Mary Magdalene, is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Ribble Valley is a constituency in Lancashire represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 1992 by Nigel Evans, a Conservative. Evans has served as a Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons and Second Deputy Chairman of Ways and Means since January 2020; he previously served as First Deputy Chairman of Ways and Means from 2010 to 2013.
