Allach-Untermenzing

Munich-Allach station is a railway station in the Allach-Untermenzing borough of Munich, Germany. It is on the Munich - Ingolstadt route, and the first train was seen here in 1867. It is connected to the locomotive factory in the East, formerly Kraus-Maffei, now Siemens Mobility production. The station is served by the Munich S-Bahn's S2 line. The line connects Allach to Munich Eastern Station (München Ost), ending in Altomünster or Petershausen in the Northwest, or Erding in North-East.

Karlsfeld is a municipality in the district of Dachau, in Bavaria, Germany. During World War II, it was the location of a subcamp of Dachau concentration camp. The municipality is situated 12 km northwest of Munich (centre). The headquarters of MAN and MTU Aero Engines are located in Munich right on the border to Karlsfeld. Karlsfeld railway station is served by the Munich S-Bahn on line S2.

Allach porcelain (pronounced 'alak') a.k.a. Porzellan Manufaktur Allach was produced in Germany between 1935 and 1945. After its first year of operation, the enterprise was run by the SS with forced labor provided by the Dachau concentration camp. The emphasis was on decorative ceramics —objets d'art for the Nazi regime. The company logo included stylized SS runes. Sometimes in place of the company name, the pottery markings mentioned the SS: "DES - WIRTSCHAFTS - VERWALTUNGSHAUPTAMTES".

Langwieder Bach is a river of Bavaria, Germany. It flows into the Gröbenbach south of Dachau.

The International Youth Library (IYL) (Internationale Jugendbibliothek, IJB) in Munich is a library that specializes in the collection of children and youth literature from around the world in order to make them available to the public, focusing on the international community. This library is the largest of its kind worldwide, and has been operating since June 1983, in Blutenburg Castle in the Munich district Obermenzing, before this time the library was located in Schwabing.

The Langwieder lake district (German: Langwieder Seenplatte) is composed of three lakes west of Munich in Bavaria, Germany. It opened in the year 2000 as a recreational area enclosing the Langwieder See, the Lußsee, and the Birkensee. The entire site spans 120 hectares (297 acres); 40 of which are the lakes and 80 are land; 27 hectares (67 acres) of which are lawns for sunbathing.

Munich-Allach concentration camp was a forced labour camp established by the Nazi Schutzstaffel (SS) in Allach-Untermenzing, a suburb of Munich in southern Germany, in 1943. It provided slave labour for nearby factories of BMW, Dyckerhoff, Sager & Woerner, Kirsch Sägemühle, Pumpel Lochhausen and Organisation Todt with up to 17,000 prisoners in 1945. More than 1,800 of them came to death. It was the largest sub-camp of the Dachau concentration camp system (see map on the right, red square). Another smaller subcamp Allach porcelain a.k.a. Porzellan Manufaktur Allach with about 40 prisoners produced porcelain artworks.

The Bavarian State Collection of Zoology (German: Zoologische Staatssammlung München) or ZSM is a major German research institution for zoological systematics in Munich. It has over 20 million zoological specimens. It is one of the largest natural history collections in the world. The sections are Entomology, Invertebrates and Vertebrates. The August-Exter-Straße, named after the architect August Exter (1858–1933), is a street in Pasing, a district of Munich, which was created in 1892 as part of the development of the Villenkolonie Pasing I.
