Quinto Creek

California's 18th congressional district is a congressional district located in the U.S. state of California. The district is currently represented by Democrat Zoe Lofgren. Since the 2022 election, the district is landlocked and includes all of San Benito County and parts of Santa Clara and Monterey counties, including Salinas, Hollister, Watsonville, Gilroy, Soledad, and downtown and eastern San Jose.Due to the presence of Silicon Valley, the district had a median household income of $149,375, the second highest of any congressional district in the country. After redistricting, the district picked up agricultural areas of Monterey County, and its median household income dropped substantially, to $90,456.

Mustang Creek, originally Arroyo de Mesteño (Mustang Creek), later Mustang Gulch, is a short stream that fails to reach the San Joaquin River draining the slopes of part of foothills of the Diablo Range within the Central Valley of California, United States. The Creek has its source in a canyon at the foot of a 1254-foot mountain about 4.5 miles from its mouth just east of where it emerges from the foothills in Merced County, shortly ending just west of the California Aqueduct. The closest populated place was the former settlement and railroad station of Gustine that is 6.69 miles northeast of the mouth of Mustang Creek.

Romero Creek, originally El Arroyo de Romero, is a tributary stream of the San Joaquin River. Its source drains the slopes of the Diablo Range within the Central Valley of California, United States. The Creek has its source in Stanislaus County in a canyon a half mile east of Bone Spring Hill, 2509 feet high, near Eagle Spring, about 12 1/2 miles from its mouth just east of where it emerges from the foothills in Merced County, shortly ending where it meets the Delta Mendota Canal.

Ingomar was an unincorporated community in Merced County, California. It was located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 10.5 miles (17 km) northwest of Los Banos, at an elevation of 92 feet (28 m).A post office operated at Ingomar from 1890 to 1921. The name was probably from the 1842 German play Ingomar, the Barbarian by Baron Eligius Franz Joseph von Münch-Bellinghausen, a popular work in the dramatic canon in the late 19th century.A school was established at Ingomar in 1884, and the town was surveyed when the railroad was built through the area in 1889. The economy was centered on farming and dairying; in the early 1910s there was a school, blacksmith shop, general store, cream-shipping depot, and housing facility for railroad work crews. The town declined due to the closure of the post office and fouling of the water; only foundations remained as of 2009.

Saratoga Village Library, formerly known as the Saratoga Library, is a historic building in Saratoga, California designed by architect Eldridge T. Spencer in 1927. The building is historically significant due to its long association with the development of civic life of Saratoga throughout the 20th century, serving as the only library for the community for 51 years. The Saratoga Village Library was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 17, 2007. In 1978, the completion of a new Saratoga Library was established on Saratoga Avenue and Fruitvale. The design was also the work of Spencer.

Gustine is a city in Merced County, California. Gustine is located 29 miles (47 km) west of Merced, at an elevation of 98 feet (30 m). At the 2020 census, the city population was 6,110, up from 5,520 at the 2010 census.

Gustine High School is a public high school in Gustine, California, United States. Gustine High School was established in 1913. Gustine High School includes a variety of about 20 clubs and 13 sports.

Garzas Creek, originally Arroyo de las Garzas (Creek of the Herons), is a tributary of the San Joaquin River draining the eastern slopes of part of the Diablo Range within the San Joaquin Valley of California. The Creek has its source 0.8 km (0.5 mi) south of Hog Canyon and 1.6 km (1 mi) northwest of Bullhead Reservoir, and its mouth at the confluence with Los Banos Creek 4.8 km (3 mi) northeast of Ingomar in Merced County. The closest populated place was the former settlement and railroad station of Linora that is 0.38 miles south of Garzas Creek. The town of Gustine, is 4.35 miles from Garzas Creek.

Gustine Airport (FAA LID: 3O1) is a public airport located two miles (3.2 km) east of Gustine, serving Merced County, California, United States. It is mostly used for general aviation.

Newman is a city in Stanislaus County, California, located in the San Joaquin Valley region of the greater Central Valley. The city had a population of 10,224 at the 2010 census, up from 7,093 at the 2000 census. Founded in 1888 by Simon Newman, the city is a largely agricultural community, known for its annual Fall Festival.

Volta is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Merced County, California, United States. It is located 5 miles (8 km) west-northwest of Los Banos at an elevation of 105 feet (32 m). The population was 366 at the 2020 census, up from 246 at the 2010 census. From 1858 to 1861, Lone Willow Station a swing station for the Butterfield Overland Mail, was located east of here on the west bank of Mud Slough, 18 miles east of the St. Louis Ranch Station and 13 miles northwest of Temple's Ranch station. A post office operated at Volta from 1890 to 1972. The name was from the Volta Improvement Company.

Los Baños Creek or Los Banos Creek, originally El Arroyo de los Baños, is a tributary stream of the San Joaquin River. Its source drains the slopes of the Diablo Range within the Central Valley of California, United States. Los Baños Creek has its source at the confluence of North Fork Los Banos Creek and South Fork Los Banos Creek. It flows northeast to the west edge of Los Banos and then north to Mud Slough 2.5 miles (4 km) upstream from its confluence with the San Joaquin River.
