The Nezu Museum (根津美術館, Nezu bijutsukan), formerly known as the Nezu Institute of Fine Arts, is an art museum in the Minato district of Tokyo, Japan.The museum houses the private collection of pre-modern Japanese and East Asian art of Nezu Kaichirō (1860–1940). The museum foundation was established on the death of the founder Nezu in 1940 and exhibitions were first opened to the public in 1941. The museum collection was stored away from central Tokyo during the second world war and escaped the destruction suffered by the estate property in the bombing of May 1945. Exhibitions were restarted after the war in 1946. Closed due to large-scale renovation and renewal from 2006 onwards, the museum re-opened in fall 2009 with a completely new museum building by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. Included in the collection are a pair of Edo period folding screens, Irises, by Ogata Kōrin. It also includes other paintings of renown, calligraphy, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and archaeological materials, as well as objects in lacquer, metal, and wood. The collection also consists of Chinese bronzes of the Shang and Zhou dynasties. The Nezu Museum is also known for its extensive, Japanese-style garden.

Minami-Aoyama (南青山, Minamiaoyama) is a district of Minato, Tokyo, Japan.

Spiral, also known as the Wacoal Art Center, is a multi-use building in Aoyama, Tokyo, Japan, that was designed by architect Fumihiko Maki. It was commissioned by lingerie company Wacoal and completed in 1985. Spiral includes exhibition spaces, a multipurpose hall, cafes, restaurants and bars, beauty salons, and select shops. The defining feature of the building is a seemingly-floating spiral ramp (15 m in diameter) that encircles the rear gallery space and climbs to the second floor. The exterior facade of aluminum and glass reflects the jumbled nature of the surrounding streetscape. The building was selected by the American Institute of Architects for the R.S. Reynolds Memorial Award in 1987. In 2012, the building received the JIA 25 Years Award from the Japan Institute of Architects. Spiral is a nexus of cultural life in Aoyama, presenting music, art, film, fashion and theater events.

Omote-sando Station (表参道駅, Omote-sandō-eki) is a Tokyo Metro subway station located at the intersection of Omotesandō (Avenue Omotesandō) and Aoyama-dori (Aoyama Street) in Aoyama, Minato ward, Tokyo, Japan. Part of the Chiyoda Line platforms extends into Shibuya ward.

Omotesandō (表参道) is a zelkova tree-lined avenue located in Shibuya and Minato, Tokyo, stretching from the Meiji Shrine entrance to Aoyama-dōri (Aoyama Street), where Omotesandō Station can be found.

Aoyama Gakuin University (Japanese: 青山学院大学, Hepburn: Aoyama Gakuin Daigaku, AGU) is a private Christian university in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. Originally established in 1874 by missionaries from the Methodist Episcopal Church, it was reconfigured in its current form in 1949 as part of Aoyama Gakuin. Aoyama Gakuin University had its 140th anniversary in 2014 and is one of Japan's oldest higher education facilities. The university's undergraduate and graduate programs include courses on literature, law, economics, business, international politics, economics, communication, science, engineering and cultural studies. The university graduate programs include international management, law and professional accounting. Aoyama Gakuin University has participated in Hakone Ekiden, an annual university relay race between Tokyo and Hakone in Japan. Recently they won the races in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2022.

Aoyama Gakuin (学校法人青山学院, Gakkō Houjin Aoyama Gakuin) is an educational institute in Tokyo, Japan, which comprises Aoyama Gakuin University, Aoyama Gakuin Women's Junior College, Aoyama Gakuin Senior High School, Aoyama Gakuin Junior High School, Aoyama Gakuin Elementary School, and Aoyama Gakuin Kindergarten. The institute was founded in 1874 by Dora E. Schoonmaker, an American missionary sent to Japan by the Women's Foreign Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Canadian missionary Davidson Macdonald MD played a role in the establishment of Aoyama Gakuin, and his contribution to the improvement of Japan's educational system is considered an important episode in the early history of Japanese-Canadian relations.

The Japanese Red Cross Medical Center (JRC Medical Center) is a general hospital located in Hiroo, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. It is the main hospital of the Japanese Red Cross Society, and is directly controlled by it. The site of Hiroo, Tokyo, where the medical center is currently located, was where a mansion of Horita Binakamori once stood.The Japanese Red Cross Hospital, the predecessor, was built on the current location in 1891. In front of the bus stop there is a circa 500-year-old tree, which is the largest ginkgo in the area with a circumference of 4.7 meters or more, and was designated a natural monument in Shibuya-ku. The Empress has been the Honorary Governor since 1949.

Jissen Women's University Junior College (実践女子大学短期大学部, Jissen joshi daigaku tanki daigakubu, lit. 'Jissen Women's University Junior College Department') is a Japanese private university with its headquarters in 1-1-49 Higashi, Shibuya, Tokyo. It was founded in 1899 and established as a university in 1950. Its university abbreviation is Jissen JC (実践短大, Jissen Tandai)

Kokugakuin University (國學院大學; Kokugakuin Daigaku, abbreviated as 國學大 Kokugakudai or 國大 Kokudai) is a private university, whose main office is in Tokyo's Shibuya district. The academic programs and research include Shinto study, Japanese history, Japanese and Chinese literature and Community development, as well as the study of economics, jurisprudence and pedagogy . It was established in 1882.
