The architectural historian Nikolaus Pevsner considered it to be "perhaps the best" house in Chester.The house is built on two stone medieval undercrofts with timber framing above. Its first floor incorporates a section of the Chester Rows. The house is now used as shops and meeting rooms and it includes the headquarters of Chester Civic Trust.

Chester Carmelite Friary, otherwise Chester Whitefriars, was a friary in the city of Chester in Cheshire, England. The Carmelites were present in Chester from the late 1270s and by the mid-14th century were established as a well-regarded community. Their church and graveyard were popular for burials of the well-to-do and the friary was often mentioned in Chester wills. Their church steeple when rebuilt in 1495 became a useful landmark for ships. The friary was dissolved in 1538. There are no surviving buildings but the street name Whitefriars preserves the memory of the community.

St Ursula's is a building at 37 Watergate Street, Chester, Cheshire, England. It incorporates a section of Chester Rows and is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building because of the quality of the undercroft.The building originated somewhere between about 1180 and about 1280. Alterations were made in the 16th or 17th century and it was largely rebuilt above the Row level in the late 19th century and altered again in the 20th century. The building is in four storeys. It is built in sandstone at the street (undercroft) and Row levels and above this is timber-framed. The undercroft has 5½ bays and it is considered that the walls date from the late 12th century, and are therefore the earliest features yet to have been dated in the structure of the Rows.The undercroft is currently in use as a storeroom for the neighbouring toy shop.

It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building.Watergate was built between 1788 and 1790 for Chester City Council and replaced a medieval gate that had been damaged during the siege of Chester. The architect was Joseph Turner. It is built in red sandstone ashlar and consists of a basket arch of short rusticated voussoirs. The parapet consists of stone balusters interspersed with panels. A drinking fountain, which is now dry, is fixed to the north abutment and is dated 1857.

Booth Mansion is a former town house at 28–34 Watergate Street, Chester, Cheshire, England. It contains a portion of the Chester Rows, is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is included in the English Heritage Archive. Its frontage was built in 1700 in Georgian style but much medieval material remains behind it.

The Sedan House is at 13 and 13B Stanley Place, Chester, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. The house is sited on the corner of Stanley Place and City Walls Road. It takes its name from the porch on City Walls Road that was used for those being carried in a sedan to enter the house.
