Niederstriegis is a former municipality in the district of Mittelsachsen, in Saxony, Germany. With effect from 1 January 2013, it has been incorporated into the town of Roßwein.

Döbeln Hauptbahnhof is the largest station in Döbeln in the German state of Saxony. Now an unstaffed halt, it was built as a Keilbahnhof ("wedge-shaped station"). From 1884 to 1964 Döbeln Hbf was also the terminus of the 750 mm gauge railway from Oschatz.

The villages of Forchheim, Kleinlimmritz, Limmritz, Poschwitz, Schweta, Stockhausen, Töpeln, Wöllsdorf and Ziegra have been incorporated into Döbeln, Gebersbach, Heyda, Kaiserburg, Knobelsdorf, Meinsberg, Neuhausen and Rudelsdorf into Waldheim.

The origin of the name is not precisely documented, possibly Slavic skapp; rock, cliff or sorb. Šučici; the rushing, roaring). The Zschopau drains a catchment area of 1847 km².

Noschkowitz is a hamlet which is a dependency (ortsteil) of Jahnatal (before 2023 Ostrau), a municipality of Mittelsachsen kreis in Saxony, Germany. It is in the valley of the Rittmitzer Bach (a tributary of the Jahna), 8 kilometres north of Döbeln. It is known for Schloss Noschkowitz, records of which date back to the 13th century.
