Friedberg (German pronunciation: [ˈfʁiːtˌbɛʁk] ; official name: Friedberg (Hessen)) is a town and the capital of the Wetteraukreis district, in Hesse, Germany. It is located 26 km (16 miles) north of Frankfurt am Main. In 1966, the town hosted the sixth Hessentag state festival, in 1979 the 19th.

Bad Nauheim is a town in the Wetteraukreis district of Hesse state of Germany. As of 2020, Bad Nauheim has a population of 32,493. The town is approximately 35 kilometres (22 mi) north of Frankfurt am Main, on the east edge of the Taunus mountain range. It is a world-famous resort, noted for its salt springs, which are used to treat heart and nerve diseases. A Nauheim or "effervescent" bath, named after Bad Nauheim, is a type of spa bath through which carbon dioxide is bubbled. This bath was one of several types of hydrotherapy used at Battle Creek Sanitarium and it was also used at Maurice bathhouse, in Bathhouse Row in the early 1900s, during the heyday of hydrotherapy. The Konitzky Foundation, a charitable foundation and hospital for those without means, was founded in 1896 and its building occupies a central place next to the Kurpark.

The Dankeskirche (Church of Thanks) is the central Protestant church in Bad Nauheim. It was planned from 1893, located near the spa facilities. Built in Gothic-revival style to a design by Ludwig Hofmann, it was opened in 1906. The church was made with Londorf basalt, a type of volcanic rock.The first organ was built by Eberhard Friedrich Walcker. The church features a baptismal font from the 12th century, which was moved from the congregation's former church. The church also features stained glass with depictions of biblical meaning.

International Max Planck Research School for Heart and Lung Research, also known as IMPRS for Heart and Lung Research, is a three-year graduate program offering studies in the field of heart, blood vessel and lung biology. Research areas cover development, remodeling and regeneration, stem cell biology, developmental genetics and translational research. The graduate school focuses on young research with a background in life sciences or medicine. The IMPRS for Heart and Lung Research is a joint program of the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research , Bad Nauheim, as well as of the universities in Giessen and Frankfurt.

The Usa is a river that is 34 km (21 miles) long in Hesse, Germany. It is right tributary of the Wetter, which it joins at the outskirts of Friedberg. Its source is in the Taunus mountains, near the town Neu-Anspach. The principal towns along the river are Usingen, Bad Nauheim and Friedberg.
