Britz station

Britz is a municipality in the district of Barnim in Brandenburg in Germany.

The Martin Gropius Krankenhaus is a neuro-psychiatric hospital in Eberswalde, Germany. It was built from 1862–1865 by architect Martin Gropius from Berlin. It was commissioned by the Estates of the then-Prussian Province of Brandenburg as an insane asylum.

The Experimental Radio Station Eberswalde was an experimental radio station of the company C. Lorenz AG founded in Eberswalde, Germany in 1909.

The Eberswalde trolleybus system serves the city of Eberswalde, in the Land of Brandenburg, Germany. Opened on 3 November 1940, it is the oldest of the three remaining trolleybus systems in Germany.

Eberswalde (German pronunciation: [ˌʔeːbɐsˈvaldə] ) is a major town and the administrative seat of the district Barnim in Brandenburg in north-eastern Germany, about 50 km (31 mi) northeast of Berlin. Population 42,144 (census in June 2005), geographical location 52°50′N 13°50′E. The town is often called Waldstadt (forest town), because of the large forests around it, including the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve. Despite this fact, Eberswalde was an important industrial center until the German Reunification.

The Solingen trolleybus (German: Oberleitungsbus Solingen), also known locally as Stangentaxi, serves the city of Solingen, in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Opened on 19 June 1952, it is the largest of the three remaining trolleybus systems in Germany (the others being in Eberswalde and Esslingen am Neckar). The network centres on Graf-Wilhelm-Platz in Solingen city centre, and one of its lines extends into the neighbouring municipality of Wuppertal. It is operated by Stadtwerke Solingen, the municipal works company.

Golzow (bei Eberswalde) station is a railway station in the Golzow district of the municipality of Chorin, located in the Barnim district in Brandenburg, Germany.

Eberswalde Hauptbahnhof is historically the most important and now the only remaining station in the city of Eberswalde in the German state of Brandenburg. It was opened in the summer of 1842 outside the then city limits on the Berlin–Szczecin railway. The city fathers of Eberswalde did not want a modern railway in their city, so the station was built three kilometres west of the city centre in a wooded area where the Westend district is today.

Ragöse is a river of Brandenburg, Germany. It has several sources near Chorin and runs over a distance of 10 kilometres (6 mi) through the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve to the Finow Canal, east of Eberswalde.

Chorin (German pronunciation: [ˈkoːʁɪn]) is a municipality in the district of Barnim in Brandenburg, Germany. It is most famous for its cloister and for being situated within the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve. It is famous for its medieval Brick Gothic Chorin Abbey and the Choriner Musiksommer music festival held there.

The Forstbotanischer Garten Eberswalde (8 hectares) is a botanical garden and arboretum located at Am Zainhammer 5, Eberswalde, Brandenburg, Germany. It is open daily without charge. The garden was established in 1830 as part of the Royal Prussian Higher Forestry College by Friedrich Wilhelm Leopold Pfeil (1783-1859) with Wilhelm von Humboldt (1767-1835). By 1835 its plant list included more than 600 types of trees. Between 1868 and 1874, under the direction of Bernhard Danckelmann (1831-1901), the garden moved to its current location. It was severely damaged during World War II but restored in subsequent years. Today the garden contains over 1200 native and exotic trees and shrubs, with major sections including perennial flower beds; a root laboratory; alpine garden; African and East Asian gardens; trial garden; systematic garden; herb garden; and a Salicetum containing 230 types of willow trees. A special feature is the garden's geological trail highlighting representative crystalline sedimentary rocks deposited in this location by ice age glaciers.
