Wattisham Airfield is a British Army airfield and barracks located near the village of Wattisham in Suffolk, England. It is home to the Army Air Corps' Apache attack helicopter force. A helicopter repair facility provided by 7 Aviation Support Battalion, REME and 132 Aviation Supply Squadron, RLC is also based at the airfield. The RAF maintains a presence at the airfield with a section of Survival Equipment Specialists who maintain survival equipment carried by Apache aircrew, including their helmets. The airfield covers a site of 1,072 acres (434 ha), with approximately 2,000 troops stationed on site.

Located on the B1078 between Bildeston and Needham Market, it consists of three settlements; Naughton Nedging Nedging TyeThe parish contains two areas classified as Ancient Woodland; Glebe Town Grove and Tyrell's Grove. Both sites are also nature reserves. In 2001 the population of the parish was 388, increasing to 404 at the 2011 Census. The parish was formed on 1 April 1935 from the parishes of "Nedging" and "Naughton" and part of Bildeston.

The civil parish was merged with Nedging on 1 April 1935 to create "Nedging with Naughton". In 1931 the civil parish had a population of 98.Naughton is formed from the junction of two roads, the Whatfield Road which comes in from the south-west and heads north to Nedging Tye and New Road which comes in from the south-east. St. Mary's church is a 14th-century flint built church stands at the centre of the village, just west of this junction.

Gipping Rural District was a rural district in the county of East Suffolk, England. It was created in 1934 by the merger of the disbanded Bosmere and Claydon Rural District and the disbanded East Stow Rural District, under a County Review Order. It was named after the River Gipping and administered from Needham Market. Its area was reduced slightly in 1952 by an expansion of the county borough of Ipswich. On 1 April 1974 it was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972, and has since formed part of the District of Mid Suffolk.

Great Bricett Hall is a grade I listed farmhouse in the village of Great Bricett, Suffolk, England. It was built in the mid-13th century as the hall of the Augustinian Priory of St Leonard, next to the north side of what is now the Church of St Mary & St Laurence.The Hall was once owned by John De Bohun, brother of Henry de Bohun who was killed by Robert the Bruce at the Battle of Bannockburn.During the Second World War, it was used to house Italian prisoners. In 1947, it was bought by Percy Cooper.It was home to farmer Rupert Cooper, son of Percy, who died in October 2017, aged 96. It was inherited by his son, Oliver Cooper (father of the fashion designer Jade Holland Cooper), and the estate, including 415 acres of land, was listed for sale in June 2018 at £4.65 million.
