Buchberg (Zittau Mountains)

The Mühlsteinbrüche ("Millstone Quarries") south of Jonsdorf in the Zittau Mountains in Saxony are a region of bizarre rock formations, which have been formed by the quarrying of sandstone for millstones and also by weathering processes. They are a popular hiking and climbing area. An educational trail runs through the region which has an area of about 35 hectares.

The community of Jonsdorf is located in the south of the Kreis Görlitz in the southeast of the German federal state of Saxony. It is embedded into a valley of the Zittau Mountains, part of the Lusatian Mountains.

The Zittau Mountains Nature Park (German: Naturpark Zittauer Gebirge) is a nature park in Germany, created in 2008. The nature park comprise the German parts of the Lusatian Mountains at the borders with the Czech Republic and Poland and covers an area of 113 square kilometres (44 sq mi) of forests, lakes, meadows and peatlands. Most of the Lusatian Mountains are in the Czech Republic, and these parts forms the Lusatian Mountains Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Lužické hory).

Großschönau (Upper Sorbian: Wulki Šunow, pronounced [ˈwulkʲi ˈʃunɔf]; Czech: Velký Šenov) is a municipality in the district Görlitz, in Saxony, Germany located in the cross-border region with the Czech Republic. It used to be a famous Upper Lusatian center of Damask fabric production until the end of the 1980s. Since then it has turned into an area of tourism. In Großschönau is the historical sylvan lido Trixi Park, a spa which was expanded with indoor swimming pools, a sauna, camping ground and holiday flats. The town is a child-friendly starting point for hikers and cyclists alike who want to explore both sides of the Czech-German border area with its relatively attractive price level. Mount Lausche (793 m) is situated in the community of Waltersdorf and marks the highest peak of the Lusatian Mountains.

The Lausur (Czech: Lužnička) is a river in Bohemia (Czech Republic) and Saxony (Germany). It is a right tributary of the Mandau, which it joins in Großschönau.

The Breiteberg is a hill in the Lusatian Highlands in Free State of Saxony, Federal Republic of Germany, with an altitude of 510 metres (1,670 ft) above mean sea level. It is the local mountain of Hainewalde, and about half-an-hour's drive from the village. Phonolite covers most of its surface.

Jánské kameny (German: Johannisstein) is a mountain in the Lusatian Mountains, on the border of Germany and the Czech Republic.

Hainewalde is a village in Germany on the river Mandau, in the Bundesland (federal state) of Saxony and the district Görlitz, historically belonging to Upper Lusatia. The village is part of the administrative partnership Großschönau-Waltersdorf.

Hochwald (Czech Hvozd) is a mountain on the border of Saxony in southeastern Germany and Bohemia in the Czech Republic. It is at 749.5 metres (2,459 ft) above sea level, one of the highest in the Lusatian/Zittau ranges, directly on the Czech/German border. It has two peaks, the southern main summit (through which the state border extends), which lies 743.8 metres (2,440 ft) above sea level, and the north summit, which is 370 metres (1,210 ft) away. Due to the visually appealing views from the mountain, it has earned the nickname Aussichtsturm des Zittauer Gebirges (lit. Lookout Tower of the Zittau Mountains).

The Oybin is a hill in Saxony, southeastern Germany, near by the city of Zittau and it is part of the Zittau Mountains.
