The community of Jonsdorf is located in the south of the Kreis Görlitz in the southeast of the German federal state of Saxony. It is embedded into a valley of the Zittau Mountains, part of the Lusatian Mountains.

Krompach (German: Krombach) is a municipality and village in Česká Lípa District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 200 inhabitants.

The Buchberg is a wide cone-shaped mountain on the northern edge of the Zittau Mountains which is 652 m above sea level (NN). The Buchberg is entirely wooded. Whilst the mountain drops steeply to the east and north, it slopes away relatively gently to the south and west. South of the mountain is an area of raised bog which forms the source region of the Zwittebach.

Jánské kameny (German: Johannisstein) is a mountain in the Lusatian Mountains, on the border of Germany and the Czech Republic.

Hochwald (Czech Hvozd) is a mountain on the border of Saxony in southeastern Germany and Bohemia in the Czech Republic. It is at 749.5 metres (2,459 ft) above sea level, one of the highest in the Lusatian/Zittau ranges, directly on the Czech/German border. It has two peaks, the southern main summit (through which the state border extends), which lies 743.8 metres (2,440 ft) above sea level, and the north summit, which is 370 metres (1,210 ft) away. Due to the visually appealing views from the mountain, it has earned the nickname Aussichtsturm des Zittauer Gebirges (lit. Lookout Tower of the Zittau Mountains).

The Zittau Mountains Nature Park (German: Naturpark Zittauer Gebirge) is a nature park in Germany, created in 2008. The nature park comprise the German parts of the Lusatian Mountains at the borders with the Czech Republic and Poland and covers an area of 113 square kilometres (44 sq mi) of forests, lakes, meadows and peatlands. Most of the Lusatian Mountains are in the Czech Republic, and these parts forms the Lusatian Mountains Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Lužické hory).

The Oybin is a hill in Saxony, southeastern Germany, near by the city of Zittau and it is part of the Zittau Mountains.

The Breiteberg is a hill in the Lusatian Highlands in Free State of Saxony, Federal Republic of Germany, with an altitude of 510 metres (1,670 ft) above mean sea level. It is the local mountain of Hainewalde, and about half-an-hour's drive from the village. Phonolite covers most of its surface.

Oybin (Upper Sorbian: Ojbin, pronounced [ˈɔjbʲin]) is a municipality in the Görlitz district, in Saxony, Germany, located very close to the border of the Czech Republic. Following the defeat of the Protestant armies by the Habsburgs in the Battle of the White Mountain in 1620, many Protestant Czechs found refuge across the border in the hills of Upper Lusatia. It is a "Kurort", a resort or spa certified by the state, where people go for rest and recuperation. It is most famous for its mountain of the same name, an exposed natural sandstone dome that towers above the town. The ruins of a medieval monastery lend a wild romantic beauty to it and it was a favorite subject of 19th-century Romantic painters like Caspar David Friedrich. Many bizarrely shaped geological rock formations can be found in the surroundings. The scenic narrow gauge Zittau–Kurort Oybin/Kurort Jonsdorf railway runs from Oybin to Bertsdorf, from there to the neighboring municipality of Jonsdorf and the town of Zittau. Oybin municipality has 3 districts: Oybin, Hain and Lückendorf.

The Kelchstein ("Chalice Rock") is a mushroom rock in the Zittau Mountains near Oybin in the German state of Saxony.

Bertsdorf-Hörnitz is a municipality in the Görlitz district, Saxony, Germany. Althörnitz Castle was built between 1651 and 1654 for Christian von Hartig, mayor of Zittau. The von Sandersleben family owned it from 1881 until expropriation in 1945. It is now a hotel.
