Railway Stage & Beer Café is Vancouver’s longest continually operating nightclub, occupying the same premises uninterrupted from 1931 to 2016. Three rooms made up the second floor space at the corner of Seymour and Dunsmuir Street. The first was a small room that hosted music seven nights a week. The second was a pub-style space, and the third retained its 1930s look, with brass fittings and a large wooden bar.

The Granville Mall is a transit mall and pedestrian zone in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It comprises the section of Granville Street in Downtown Vancouver between Hastings and Smithe streets. Most routes that service the mall are primarily trolleybuses operated by TransLink; in addition to bus service, the Granville Mall can be accessed by SkyTrain from either Granville and Vancouver City Centre stations of the Expo and Canada lines, respectively.

Granville is an underground station on the Expo Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. The station is located in Downtown Vancouver on the portion of Granville Street that is known as the Granville Mall. The station is accessible from the surface via entrances on Granville Street and Seymour Street (both between Georgia and Dunsmuir Streets), and the Dunsmuir entrance between Granville and Seymour. The station serves the shopping and entertainment districts along Granville and Robson Streets, as well as the office and shopping complexes of Pacific Centre and Vancouver Centre. The station is also within walking distance of such amenities as Robson Square (home of the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Provincial Court of British Columbia, and a satellite campus of the University of British Columbia), the Orpheum Theatre, Vancouver Library Square, TD Tower, Scotia Tower and the HSBC Canada Building.

The Hotel Vancouver, the second of three by that name, was a 15 story (77m) Italian Renaissance style hotel built in 1916 by the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR). The architect was Francis S. Swales. The hotel closed in 1939, when an arrangement was made with rival Canadian National Railway (CNR) to jointly operate CNR's new hotel, located two blocks away. That hotel, which took over the name Hotel Vancouver, is still operating today. The 1916 CPR building survived until 1949 when it was demolished by the Eaton's department store chain.

Scotia Tower is a prominent skyscraper located at 650 West Georgia Street in Downtown Vancouver. The 15th tallest building in the city, it stands at 138 m or 35 storeys tall and completed in 1977 and is a landmark skyscraper near the end of the central business district. The building houses Scotiabank operations for British Columbia and the underground Vancouver Centre, with its various shops and attendant street retail and theatres. The malls are linked to Pacific Centre and Hudson's Bay and a SkyTrain subway station via subterranean passages beneath Georgia and Granville Streets. The Georgia and Granville corner of the site was the former location of the Birk's Store in Vancouver, an ornate Edwardian edifice that was torn down in 1974 to make way for construction of the Scotia Tower and Vancouver Centre. Birk's was the first tenant in the new corner-retail location after the Centre's construction but has since moved to Granville and West Hastings; that location is now the main downtown store of London Drugs. The Georgia Street side of the Scotia Tower-Vancouver Centre was the location of the old Strand Theatre, the only one of Vancouver's Theatre Row not directly on Granville Street. That movie house was later replaced by the Vancouver Centre Cinemas (now closed) in 1977.

The Financial District is a highrise office commercial area within the central business district of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Located roughly along Burrard and West Georgia Streets on the Downtown Peninsula, the Financial District contains more than 60% of Greater Vancouver's office space, and is home to headquarters of forest products and mining companies. The area contains numerous federal and non-governmental organizations (NGO) offices, overseas missions and consulates, and headquarter and branch offices of national and international banks and financial services, accounting and law firms, and luxury hotels.

Pacific Centre (officially named CF Pacific Centre since 2015) is a shopping mall located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is owned by Cadillac Fairview, the Ontario Pension Board, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, and is managed by Cadillac Fairview. Based on the number of stores, most of which are underground, it is the largest mall in Downtown Vancouver with over 100 stores and shops and the 7th busiest mall in Canada with 22.1 million annual visitors as of 2018. The mall is directly connected to the Hudson's Bay department store, Vancouver Centre Mall, two SkyTrain subway stations, and the former Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver, which is currently under redevelopment.

TELUS Garden is a 1,000,000 square foot office mixed-use redevelopment, located in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The two buildings incorporate office, retail and residential space. Of the 488,000 square feet of office space, approximately 212,000 square feet will be for Telus.

Metropolitan Vancouver Hotel is a hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The hotel has 197 rooms and 7,600 square feet of conference and banquet rooms, and its restaurant, Diva, is critically acclaimed, and is headed by chef Dino Renaerts. The hotel, between the financial district and the shopping area of downtown Vancouver, is popular with businesspersons. The decor is French-inspired, with dark wood beams and high ceilings.

Toronto Dominion Tower is located at 700 West Georgia Street in Downtown Vancouver and is connected to part of the Pacific Centre shopping mall. The skyscraper stands at 127 m or 30 stories tall and was completed in 1972. When the tower was built, on the site of the former second Hotel Vancouver, its black-glass facing earned it the press sobriquet "the Black Tower", and with the white design of the adjacent Eaton's building (now Nordstrom) it was considered by some an architectural disaster.The first tenant in January 1972 was the law firm of McLaughlin, Holburn & Beaudin on the 16th floor. The firm (now named Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang LLP) has remained a tenant since opening and currently occupies the topmost floors. Since 1996, the building has been the home of Corus Radio Vancouver, as well as a number of law firms, including Farris LLP, Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang LLP, and Cansure. The Downtown Vancouver Optometry Clinic is also a tenant.

The Dunsmuir Tunnel is a subway tunnel below Dunsmuir Street in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The tunnel is used by the Expo Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. It is located downtown and has Burrard and Granville stations built within the tunnel. The western tunnel portal is located midway between Waterfront and Burrard stations, while the eastern portal is adjacent to Stadium–Chinatown station.
