Bylaugh

Bylaugh Hall, also known as Bylaugh Park, is a country house situated in the parish of Bylaugh in Norfolk, England.

The B1145 runs for about 52 miles (84 km) through the county of Norfolk, England, between King’s Lynn and Mundesley. The road is an alternative route to the A47 between King's Lynn and Norwich by way of the A1067 from Bawdeswell onwards.

Beck Hall, Bec Hall or Bek Hall is a grade II listed 18th-century farmhouse in Billingford, Breckland, Norfolk, England. It is believed to be on the site of a former "hospital" or "hospice" (i.e. a hostel) adjacent to the Chapel of St Paul. The hospital was founded by William of Bec (or Beck): records go back before 1224 (in the reign of King Henry III). The hospital was dedicated to St Thomas of Canterbury. An early resident of Bec was Alanus Elfwold (1248).The hospital (moated) was on the main road between Norwich and Walsingham and was intended for the lodging for a single night of 13 poor travellers as they made their pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. The hospital was, at an early date in its history, well endowed with the manors of Beck, Billingford, and Howe, and with certain lands and rents in upwards of thirty Norfolk parishes. The hospital appears to have become a residence and may have been leased by The Church authorities before the Dissolution of the Monasteries. In the second half of the 15th century at least three generations of the Curson (or Curzon) family, descendants of the Kedleston family, held Beck Hall in Norfolk.With the dissolution in the mid-16th century the property was granted to Sir John Perrot.

Bawdeswell is a small rural village and civil parish in Norfolk, England. At the time of the 2011 census it had a population of 828 and an area of 487 hectares. The village is situated almost in the centre of Norfolk about 14 miles (23 km) northwest of Norwich. For the purposes of local government it falls within the Upper Wensum Ward of Breckland District Council and the Elmham and Mattishall Division of Norfolk County Council. It is on a Roman road that ran east–west between Durobrivae near modern Peterborough and Smallburgh, crossing the Fen Causeway. The village is recorded in the Domesday Book as Balderwella. It was the home of Chaucer's Reeve in The Reeve's Prologue and Tale in the Canterbury Tales. Its parish church, All Saints', was rebuilt after its Victorian church was destroyed in World War II when hit by a crashing de Havilland Mosquito bomber.

Foxley is a village and civil parish in Norfolk, England. The village is 6 miles (10 km) north-east of Dereham and 15 miles (24 km) north-west of Norwich, along the A1067 between Fakenham and Norwich.

Elsing is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is located 4.2 miles (6.8 km) north-east of Dereham and 12 miles (19 km) north-west of Norwich, close to the River Wensum.

St Mary's is an Anglican parish church in Elsing, a small village and civil parish in the Breckland district of Norfolk, England. The 14th-century church was built to a single plan in Decorated Gothic style by a local knight and has remained largely unaltered to the present day. The church contains a brass monument of national importance, a tall medieval font cover and rood screen paintings. The chancel retains some stained glass contemporary with the construction of the building.

North Tuddenham is a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk, North Tuddenham is 3 miles (4.8 km) east of East Dereham, and is close to the A47 road. The parish church is dedicated to St Mary.The villages name means 'Tuda's homestead/village'. It covers an area of 9.41 km2 (3.63 sq mi) and had a population of 305 in 121 households at the 2001 census, increasing to a population of 335 in 138 households at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the Upper Wensum Ward of Breckland District Council and the Elmham and Mattishall Division of Norfolk County Council. RAF Tuddenham is nearby: in 1944, a USAF B24 bomber plane on a training mission crashed at North Tuddenham, killing the eight crew members. A memorial plaque is in St Mary's church. The incident is also commemorated in a village flag, designed by a local school student, Esme Okan, in 2021.

Foxley Wood is a nature reserve in Foxley, Norfolk, England, the largest ancient woodland and coppice in Norfolk. The Norfolk Wildlife Trust, which manages this reserve, bought it in 1998. It is 123 hectares (300 acres) in size. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a Nature Conservation Review site, Grade 2, and a National Nature Reserve.

Bintree is a village and civil parish in Norfolk, England, about nine miles (14 km) south-east of Fakenham. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 300, increasing to 329 at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government it falls within the Upper Wensum Ward of Breckland District Council and the Elmham and Mattishall Division of Norfolk County Council. The villages name means 'Bynna's tree'. Notable landmarks in the village include the village sign, a traditional red phone box and the now-disused Bintry Mill.

Foulsham was a railway station in North Norfolk. It served the village of Foulsham, and was closed to passengers on 15 September 1952. The line from Foulsham to Reepham closed to goods at the same date. Goods traffic on the section between Foulsham and County School continued until 31 October 1964.

Lyng is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It is situated on the River Wensum, some 10 km (6.2 mi) north-east of the town of East Dereham and 20 km (12 mi) north-west of the city of Norwich.The civil parish has an area of 7.99 km2 (3.08 sq mi) and in the 2021 census had a population of 860 people in 360 separate households (in the 2011 census had a population of 807 in 356 households). For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the Elmham and Mattishall division of Norfolk County Council and the Upper Wensum ward of Breckland District Council.
