The Rostock tramway network (German: Straßenbahnnetz Rostock) is a network of tramways forming the centrepiece of the public transport system in Rostock, the largest city in the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Opened in 1881 as a horsecar system, the network was converted to electrical operation in 1904. It is currently operated by Rostocker Straßenbahn AG (RSAG), and integrated in the Verkehrsverbund Warnow (VVW).

The Rostock University of Music and Drama (short HMT, Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock in German) is a college of music in Rostock, Mecklenburg, Germany. It opened in 1994 and is situated in a former abbey called Katharinenkloster in the historical core of the city. The college was a member of the Association of Baltic Academies of Music until this association was dissolved in 2016.

Rostock Switzerland (German: Rostocker Schweiz) is a terminal moraine landscape and part of the Kösterbeck Nature Reserve. It lies southeast of the German city of Rostock in the district of the same name. The majority of it is in the municipality of Roggentin. For a region so near the coast, it is very hilly, hence the name Rostock Switzerland. The Kösterbeck is a small river, that runs through a deep incision that emphasises the height differences. The valley of the Kösterbeck lies two metres above sea level, its highest elevation is 66 metres. It has changed its name several times: before 1900 it was known as the Bäukenbarg (i.e. Buchenberg or "beech hill"), during the German Reich it was the Kaiserberg ("Emperor Hill") and in GDR times, Freundschaftshöhe ("Friendship Heights").

Bentwisch is a municipality in the Rostock district, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, to the east of Rostock. Since its merger with Klein Kussewitz in January 2018, the municipality has 3,174 inhabitants and covers 29.19 square kilometres. Due to its proximity to Rostock, the B 105, and the A 19, Bentwisch became a place of industry after German reunification. Bentwisch has a substation for 220 kV/110kV and the static inverter plant of the HVDC Kontek. Both facilities are a few kilometres away from each other. In 2002 the static inverter plant Bentwisch was enlarged by a substion for 380 kV/110kV and between the static invertor plant and the 220 kV/110 kV-substation, which was built in difference to the static invertor plant at times, East Germany existed, a 110 kV powerline for 3 phase AC was built.
