AFC Fylde Women is an English women's football club affiliated with AFC Fylde and currently playing in the FA Women's National League North.

It is located on the banks of the River Ribble, close to its entry into the Irish Sea. It is best known for its airfield, Warton Aerodrome and the associated aircraft manufacturing plant of BAE Systems Military Air & Information. The village is part of the borough of Fylde.

Today the airfield is a major assembly and testing facility of BAE Systems Military Air & Information. It is also part of Lancashire Enterprise Zone. Warton Aerodrome has a CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P748) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee (BAE Systems (Operations) Limited).

Wrea Green is a village in the Fylde borough of Lancashire, England. It lies about 2 miles west of Kirkham. Along with the village of Ribby, it forms the civil parish Ribby-with-Wrea.Wrea Green has approximately 1,600 residents, many of whom work at the nearby Warton Aerodrome 2 miles away, where BAE Systems is a major local employer. Uniquely for the Fylde Coast, Wrea Green, as described by its name, surrounds a large common land space at one side of which is a duck pond, known locally as 'The Dub'. Wrea Green has won "Lancashire's Best Kept Village" award 15 times - 1959, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1972, 1980, 1986, 1987, 1993, 1996, 2001, 2005, 2009, 2010 and 2012.

Ribby-with-Wrea is a civil parish just west of Kirkham, in the Borough of Fylde and ceremonial county of Lancashire, England. It had a population of 1,489 in 2001, reducing to 1,373 at the 2011 Census. The parish includes Ribby Hall and the village of Wrea Green. For local government purposes, the parish forms part of Wrea Green with Westby ward. For Westminster elections it is part of the Fylde constituency.

The Borough of Fylde is a local government district with borough status in Lancashire, England. It covers part of the Fylde plain, after which it is named. The council's headquarters are in St Annes. Some council departments, including Planning and an office of the Registrar, were previously located in Wesham, but in 2007 these offices were transferred to the ownership of the NHS North Lancashire Primary Care Trust and have since been replaced by a new housing development. St Nicholas Church is in the village of Wrea Green, Lancashire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Kirkham, the archdeaconry of Lancaster and the diocese of Blackburn. Its benefice is combined with those of St Matthew, Ballam and St Michael, Weeton. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Wrea Green railway station was on the Blackpool South to Kirkham line. It served the village of Wrea Green, in Lancashire, England, and closed in 1961.The station opened in 1846. A single-track line to Lytham branched off the Kirkham-to-Poulton line at right angles, heading south-south-west to Wrea Green. When the line was connected to the Blackpool and Lytham Railway in 1874, the line was doubled and the corner between Kirkham and Wrea Green was cut by a new southwesterly line.

Fylde South was a constituency which returned one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1950, until it was abolished for the 1983 general election.

Hall Cross is a hamlet in the Borough of Fylde in Lancashire, England, between Kirkham and Freckleton. The name of the hamlet would seem to originate in the practice of placing of stone crosses along the roads of the Fylde. There is one of these in Hall Cross at the end of Hillock Lane. Such crosses are thought to mark resting places for funeral processions where the burial place was to be in an adjacent parish to the deceased's own.The oldest building at Hall Cross is Hall Cross Farm, a Grade II listed building, the datestone of which bears the date of 1777.Hall Cross is included in the parish council of Freckleton, and is part of the Fylde borough, and the Fylde constituency.

Kirkham Grammar School is a selective, co-educational independent school in Kirkham, Lancashire, England. It was founded in 1549. Its roots can be traced back to the chantry school attached to St Michael's Church in the 13th century. The school remained in the church grounds until it moved to occupy its present site on Ribby Road in 1911. The front range of the school and the headmaster's house are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.
