Adliswil railway station

The Adliswil-Felsenegg cable car (LAF; German: Luftseilbahn Adliswil-Felsenegg or Felseneggbahn) is a cable car in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland. The lower station is located in Adliswil in the Sihl Valley, whilst the upper station is located on the Felsenegg hill on the Albis ridge near the Felsenegg-Girstel TV-tower. The upper station at Felsenegg forms one end of a panoramic walk to the Uetliberg mountain, whilst the lower station is some 400 metres (1,300 ft) from Adliswil railway station.The cable car is owned by the Luftseilbahn Adliswil-Felsenegg AG and is operated by the Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU), the railway company which links both Adliswil and the Uetliberg to the city of Zürich.

The ZBT has been divided into two phases of work; as of 2020, only Phase I is operational while Phase II remains in the planning and preparation stages. Zimmerberg I is about 10 km long and links Zurich with Thalwil and bypasses a section of the Lake Zürich left-bank railway line, allowing rail traffic to traverse the mountains more efficiently than traditional routes.

Baldern Castle (German: Burg Baldern or Burgstelle Baldern) is a former castle in the municipality of Stallikon and the canton of Zürich in Switzerland. The remains of the castle comprise a set of earthworks, situated on the Albis ridge at some 810 metres (2,660 ft) above sea level and about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of the summit of Uetliberg. The earthworks are obscured by the site's woodland nature.A legend recorded ca. 1510 suggests that the castle was built by Ludwig the German, the first king of East Francia, in the 9th century, but there is no strong evidence for this. The castle is known to have been owned by the Counts of Lenzburg in the 12th century. There have been no significant archeological investigations of the site, and the date and reason it was abandoned is unknown.The site of the castle lies about 500 metres (1,600 ft) walk north of the upper station of the Adliswil-Felsenegg cable car at Felsenegg. The panoramic footpath from Uetliberg to Felsenegg passes through the old castle site.

Wildpark-Höfli is a railway station in the Sihl Valley, and the municipality of Langnau am Albis, in the Swiss Canton of Zurich. The station is on the Sihltal line, which is operated by the Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU). It takes its name from the nearby settlement of Höfli, and the Wildpark Langenberg, a nearby zoo. Leimbach (German: [ˈlaɪmbax] (listen)) is a quarter in the district 2 in Zürich. It is located in the lower Sihl Valley (Sihltal). It was formerly a municipality of its own, having been incorporated into Zürich in 1893. The quarter has a population of 5,185 as of December 31, 2008 and is distributed on an area of 2.92 km2 (1.13 sq mi).

Langenberg Wildlife Park (German: Wildpark Langenberg) is a zoo situated in the municipality of Langnau am Albis in the Sihl Valley to the south of the city of Zürich in Switzerland. The wildlife park now forms part of the Zürich Wilderness Park. The park was founded in 1869 by the Zürich city forester Carl Anton Ludwig von Orelli, making it the oldest Swiss wildlife park. In 2009, the management of the Langenberg Wildlife Park was combined with that of the nearby Sihlwald forest, to form the Zürich Wilderness Park.Langenberg is home to 16 native or formerly native animals such as bears, beavers, elk, hare, lynxes, wild boar, and wolves. In 2012, European bison and Przewalski’s horse were introduced to the park. The wildlife park can be reached via the Wildpark-Höfli railway station, served by service S4 of the Zurich S-Bahn.
