Stavanger Prison (Norwegian: Stavanger fengsel) is a prison, located in Stavanger, Norway The prison was opened in its present form in 2001. The building was then renovated and replaced the former Stavanger Prison which was completed in 1963. Stavanger Prison a capacity of 71 in 4 compartments for all categories of prisoners. The inmates are still in police custody or serving sentences. The prison has separate departments for women and a special department to solve problems with drugs and alcohol. The prison belongs to the Southwestern Region of the Norwegian Correctional Services.

Grødem Church (Norwegian: Grødem kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Randaberg Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Grødem. It is one of the two churches for the Randaberg parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The gray concrete church was built in a semi-circular design in 2000 using designs by the architect Ove Morten Berge. The church seats about 450 people. The church was consecrated on 28 May 2000 by the Bishop Ernst Baasland.

Vardeneset Church (Norwegian: Vardeneset kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the southern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the Ytre Tasta neighborhood in the borough of Tasta in the northern part of the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Vardeneset parish which is part of the Ytre Stavanger prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The expanded clay aggregate church was built in a rectangular design in 18 using designs by the architect Steinar Skartveit. The church seats about 450 people.The church was consecrated on 2 January 2000 by the Bishop Ernst Oddvar Baasland.

Randaberg is the administrative centre of Randaberg municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. Ytre Tasta is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the northern part of the mainland borough of Tasta. The Indre Tasta neighborhood lies to the south, the Gandsfjorden is to the east, and the municipality of Randaberg is to the north and west. The neighborhood has a population of 7,909 which is distributed over an area of 6.01 square kilometres (2.32 sq mi). Vardeneset Church is located in this neighborhood.

Stora Stokkavatnet is a lake in the municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. The 2.12-square-kilometre (0.82 sq mi) lake lies just west of the centre of the city of Stavanger. The lake lies in the western part of the municipality and it forms the boundary of the boroughs of Tasta (to the north), Eiganes og Våland (to the east), and Madla (to the south and west). From 1931 until 1959, this lake was the reservoir for the city's drinking water. Since 2009, the lake has been the back-up water supply.

Møllebukta (Mill Bay) is a small bay with a sandy beach in the inner part of the Hafrsfjorden in the borough of Madla in the city of Stavanger in the southwestern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is named after the Møllebekken creek which flows into the bay on the west side of the beach area. The area historically was utilized for running a corn mill. A park was established in the bay in the 18th century. The beach has a length of about 100 metres (330 ft) and it is popular for swimming and sunbathing.The bronze sculpture Sverd i fjell by Fritz Røed is located at the nearby Mølleberget rock on the east side of the beach.

The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1864 using designs by the architect Hans Linstow. The church seats about 300 people.
