Mambalam Railway Station is one of the railway stations in Chennai, India, on the Chennai Beach–Chengelpet section of the Chennai Suburban Railway Network. Venkatnarayana Road Sri Balaji Temple (Tamil: ஸ்ரீ பாலாஜி) is a Hindu temple located inside the premises of TTD Information Center, Venkatanarayana Road, T.Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Venkateswara and Alamelu Manga are worshipped in this temple, which also has images of Hayagriva, Varaha, Sri Ramar, Sri Krishna, Andal, Charkratalwar, Ranganatha, Lakshmi, Sridevi and Bhumidevi, Brahma and Ramanujarcharya.

The opening ceremony of the fifth season of Indian Premier League (IPL) took place on the evening of 3 April 2012 in the YMCA College of Physical Education, Chennai. The ceremony was designed by Wizcraft Entertainment, and began at 19:30 IST, lasting almost two and half hours. The tickets for the ceremony were priced at ₹1,500 (US$19) and were available online at the official website of the IPL from 16 March 2012. West Mambalam is a residential and commercial area in Chennai, India. It is known for its shops, bazaars and Hindu temples. It is bounded by Kodambakkam to the north and Saidapet to the south. T. Natesan Park is a park in T.Nagar, Chennai, India. It is located on Venkatanarayana Road. The park covers an area of 4 acres (1.6 hectares) and was opened to the public on 13 September 1950 by the then Minister of Agriculture, A. B. Shetty. It is the only park maintained by the Chennai Corporation that has a separate tennis court for coaching children. There is also a plant propagation centre and play zone for children. It is a popular spot for morning walks for the local residents. Plant varieties found in the park include Croton, Aralia, Bougainvillea, Acalypha, Caesalpinia pulcherrima, mahogany, neem, gulmohar, Cassia fistula and foliage trees like pungam, palms, Ficus religiosa and Thespesia.
