Warwood Fire Station

Warwood is a neighborhood of the city of Wheeling in Ohio County, West Virginia, United States. It lies at an elevation of 673 feet (205 m). Warwood was named for the Warwood Tool Company. Founded by Henry Warwood of Martins Ferry, Ohio in 1854, the company was sold to Daniel L. Heiskell in 1892 and moved to a location four miles north of Wheeling. The Warwood Tool Company remains in existence to this day.[1] In the first half of the 20th century, a large number of Greek immigrants predominantly from the island of Karpathos settled in Warwood to work in the coal mines. Among Warwood natives of Karpathian descent is the noted Greek Orthodox theologian John G. Panagiotou.Glenns Run, a tributary to the Ohio River, joins here.

Martins Ferry High School is a public high school in Martins Ferry, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Martins Ferry City School District. Athletic teams compete as the Martins Ferry Purple Riders in the Ohio High School Athletic Association as a member of the Buckeye 8 Athletic League as well as the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference. The Martins Ferry City School District has median household income of $23,960, thus making the school eligible for a Title I program, including access to state and federal assistance to help low-income and at risk students. The head school administrator, Joe Mamone, oversees the school's staff, including thirty full-time "equivalent" teachers serving the student body with an average class size of 17.8. The majority of students enrolled are White, making up about eighty-three percent of all students.

H. C. Ogden House, also known as the Wise-Ogden House, is a historic home located at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. It was built in 1893, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, T-shaped, Queen Anne-style frame dwelling. It features a deep, full-width front porch with Doric order columns, a round tower with domed roof, and coursed wood shingles. The house has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 1 half-bath, 1 kitchen, and 9 additional rooms. The house was built for Herschel Coombs Ogden (1869-1943), a publisher, community leader, and businessman significant in the history of West Virginia.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. It is located in the Woodsdale-Edgewood Neighborhood Historic District.

Greggsville, also known as Greggs, is an unincorporated community located in Ohio County, West Virginia, United States.

Elm Hill, also known as the Campbell-Bloch House, is a historic house and national historic district located near Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. The district includes two contributing buildings and one contributing site. The main house was built about 1850, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, brick house with a low 2-story wing in the Greek Revival style. It has an L-shaped plan, a 3-bay entrance portico, and hipped roof with an octagonal bell-cast central cupola. The interior has a central formal hall plan. Also on the property are a contributing brick, spring house / smoke house and a small cemetery dating to about 1835.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Johnson Camden McKinley House, also known as "Willow Glen," is a historic home located at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. It was built between 1914 and 1920, and is a 1+1⁄2-story massive dwelling built of ashlar sandstone. It consists of two wings that meet at right angles to form an "L" shaped building. The front elevation features a balustraded, one-story loggia that encloses a broad verandah above the piazza. The interior has a two-story entrance rotunda, a grand salon, an English-style library and 30 or so additional chambers. The house was built for coal baron Johnson Camden McKinley and his wife Agra Bennett McKinley.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Stratford Springs, located near Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia, US, is a nationally recognized historic district called the Wheeling Country Club. The country club operated from this location until 1980 when it moved to its present facilities. The district includes four contributing buildings; the former Club House (1902), Franzheim Bungalow, the former Pro and Caddy House, and the former Servant's Residence. The former clubhouse was designed by noted Wheeling architect Frederick F. Faris (1870-1927). Hole 13 green and hole 14 teeing ground now abut the former clubhouse. The historic district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
