Noonday Creek Structure Number 16 is a category 1 (high hazard) earthen dam on Noonday Creek regulated by the Georgia Safe Dams Program, located a few yards north of Big Shanty Road in Kennesaw, GA. Construction was completed in 1956.

The KSU Convocation Center is a multi-purpose arena on the campus of Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, United States. The arena has a listed seating capacity of 3,805 people and opened in 2005. It is home to the Kennesaw State Owls men's basketball, women's basketball, and women's volleyball teams as well as the administrative offices for the KSU athletic department. It is also available for other events and has hosted concerts, conferences, and trade shows, as well as sporting events.

The Sentinel is the official student newspaper of the Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. As of the Fall semester of 2018, the Sentinel has a weekly circulation between 5,000 and 6,000, distributed to over 30 locations on the Kennesaw State University campus. The first issue of The Sentinel was published on October 3, 1966, shortly after the charter quarter of Kennesaw State. Robert McDearmid served as the charter editor in chief. The paper has printed continuously since its founding. It is published weekly during the school year, with limited issues during the summer semester. In 2005 it was one of 25 collegiate newspapers to receive the Pacemaker award from the Associated Collegiate Press for the print edition, and was a finalist for its online edition.

Fifth Third Stadium, known as Kennesaw State University Stadium until 2013, is a stadium near Kennesaw, Georgia, that is primarily used as the home for the Kennesaw State Owls football team as well as the KSU women's soccer and women's lacrosse teams. It was built as a soccer-specific stadium and opened May 2, 2010, with the first match played on May 9. The facility is the result of a public-private partnership between Kennesaw State University and the now-defunct Atlanta Beat of Women's Professional Soccer.The stadium's seating capacity is 8,318. It has a stage at one end to facilitate concerts and can hold up to 16,316 for that purpose.

Kennesaw State University (KSU) is a public research university in the state of Georgia with two campuses in the Atlanta metropolitan area, one in Kennesaw and the other in Marietta on a combined 581 acres (235 ha) of land. The school was founded in 1963 by the Georgia Board of Regents using local bonds and a federal space-grant during a time of major Georgia economic expansion after World War II. KSU also holds classes at the Cobb Galleria Centre, Dalton State College, and in Paulding County (Dallas). The total enrollment exceeds 45,000 students making KSU the third-largest university by enrollment in Georgia.KSU is part of the University System of Georgia and is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity". Kennesaw State's athletic teams are an NCAA Division I member of the ASUN Conference. They will join Conference USA in 2024.

Fred Stillwell Stadium is a baseball venue located in Kennesaw, Georgia, USA. It is home to the Kennesaw State Owls of the NCAA Division I ASUN Conference. Stillwell Stadium has been home to the program since its 1984 inception. Its seating capacity is 1,200 spectators.The park features seating from bullpen to bullpen and also terrace-style seating beyond the left field fence. A press box is located behind home plate. Stillwell is part of the Bobbie Bailey Athletic Complex, which also features a clubhouse and workout facilities.Kennesaw Mountain is located south of the field and is visible if one looks past home plate from the outfield.In 1998, the field hosted both the Peach Belt Conference Baseball Tournament and an NCAA Division II regional tournament.

On January 12, 2010, three people were killed and two others critically injured in a shooting at a Penske truck rental business in the city of Kennesaw, Georgia. One of the injured victims died in 2013 from complications of his injuries. The shooter, Jesse James Warren, was arrested after the incident. Warren was indefinitely committed to a psychiatric facility in 2017.

Town Center at Cobb (often called Town Center Mall), is a super-regional shopping mall located in Cobb County, Georgia near Atlanta. The anchor stores are two Macy's stores, a Belk, and a JCPenney. There is one vacant anchor stores that was once Sears.

Dixie Speedway is a 3/8 mile clay oval in Woodstock, Georgia. Located 30 miles north of downtown Atlanta, the track features over 5,000 permanent seats on a 150-acre property. Opened in 1968, the venue has been owned by Mickey and Martha Swims since 1976.Touring series that visit the speedway include American Flat Track and the Late Model Dirt Series by Lucas Oil. The track also holds a season-opening doubleheader, the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals, in cooperation with nearby Rome Speedway.Dixie Speedway is noted to be the first track where NASCAR Legend Bill Elliot started racing, and is also the site where he won his first race. It is also notable that Dixie Speedway has a very family-friendly atmosphere, not allowing any alcohol sales and maintaining a 12 AM curfew."Dixie speedway was built in Woodstock, Georgia long before it was known as a bustling and growing town like it is today. Dixie Speedway is also host to more than 20 events every year such as weekly and national touring start car races, outlaw sprint cars, AMA flat track motorcycles, monster truck nationals, concerts, and more. Dixie Speedway has something happening all season long. Although Dixie Speedway enjoys national recognition, its true value is being a cherished part of Georgia's history. Cobb County International Airport - McCollum Field (ICAO: KRYY, FAA LID: RYY) is a public airport located 21 miles (34 km) northwest of the central business district of Atlanta, immediately south of the city of Kennesaw in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. It operates 24 hours per day, although it is not controlled between the hours of midnight and 6:00 a.m. (EST/EDT). It is also designated as a weather station.The airport is located on 309 acres (125 ha) of land, has one runway which is 6,295 feet (1,919 m) long, and is east–west oriented, with headings of 089 and 269. Cobb Place is at the east end, with Cobb Parkway (U.S. 41) and old 41 intersecting McCollum Parkway on the west end. The airfield sits at 1,040 feet (320 m) above mean sea level somewhat above average terrain for the area. The airport has a control tower. The airport also has a restaurant built directly beside the runway called Elevation Chophouse & Skybar; patrons can watch aircraft take off and land from their tables. The airport has approximately 321 aircraft based there at the end of December 2021: 212 single engine, 35 multi-engine, 61 jet aircraft, 11 helicopters, and 2 glider. 82 percent of operations are general aviation, 16 percent is air taxi, and 2 percent is military. No major commercial airlines service Cobb County Airport, but there are two charter companies and two major fixed-base operators. Aerial tours are very popular at the airport, largely because the scenic Appalachian Mountains are less than a 30-minute flight away. McCollum Field is owned by Cobb County, operated by the County Department of Transportation, characterizing it as a municipal airport. It is managed by a full-time, professional airport manager. The airport employs almost 185 people, and had an annual economic impact of more than US$47 million to the local economy in 2002.

Noonday (spelled Noon Day on 1860s maps) was an unincorporated community located in far north-central Cobb County, Georgia, United States. It was centered at 34°03'43"N, 84°31'16"W (34.0620437, -84.5213204), along former Georgia highway 5, around the Noonday Baptist Church. This Baptist church is still active today. The community took its name from nearby Noonday Creek. The community of Blackwells was south of Noonday.
