Christiania Theatre, or Kristiania Theatre, was Norway's finest stage for the spoken drama from 4 October 1836 (opening date) to 1 September 1899. It was located at Bankplassen by the Akershus Fortress in central Christiania. It was the first lasting public theatre in Norway and the national stage of Norway and of Oslo during the 19th century.

Oslo International Church Music Festival (Norwegian: Oslo internasjonale Kirkemusikkfestival) is a church music festival held every year in March in Oslo, Norway.

Engebret Café is a restaurant located at Bankplassen 1 in downtown Oslo, Norway. The food is based on exclusive (but expensive) Norwegian cuisine. The building housing the cafe dates from around 1760 and is listed and protected by law by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage.

The Norwegian Museum of Contemporary Art (Norwegian: Museet for samtidskunst) is a museum in Oslo, Norway. Since 2003, it is administratively a part of the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design.

The Nordic Bible Museum (Norwegian: Nordisk bibelmuseum) (Nobimu), located in Oslo, Norway, is the first Bible museum in the Nordic countries.

Gamle rådhus (English: The Old Town Hall) is a building with a long history in Oslo, Norway. It is one of the oldest buildings in the Norwegian capital. It was built as the first town hall in Christiania (a former name of the City of Oslo, not to be confused with the Old Town, Oslo) in 1641. The construction of the town hall got financial support by King Christian IV. The building has historically been used for many purposes. A restaurant was appointed in a side wing in 1856 and moved to the main house in 1925. From 1980 to 2010 a theatre museum was located in the side wing of the first floor. The Old Town Hall is listed and protected by law by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage.

Statholdergaarden is a gourmet restaurant in the Kvadraturen sector of central Oslo, Norway. The restaurant is led by Bocuse d'Or winning chef Bent Stiansen and his wife Anette Stiansen until her death in May 2010. Established by the couple in 1994, Statholdergaarden is merited with one Michelin star, and its wine selection rated "Best of Award of Excellence" by Wine Spectator.There is also a Danish inn, Statholderens Krostue, located in the building, a protected villa dated to 1640, which is the former home of Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve and Oslo lodgings of Tordenskjold.

Gamle Logen is a concert hall and music venue located at Grev Wedels plass 2 in Oslo, Norway. The hall also hosts artistic performances, conferences, banquets and private parties.

The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Defence (Norwegian: Det kgl. Forsvarsdepartement) is a Norwegian government ministry in charge of the formation and implementation of national security and defence policy, and for the overall management and control of the activities of subordinate agencies. The ministry is located at Glacisgata 1, Oslo, inside Akershus festning. The ministry is headed by the politically appointed Minister of Defence, currently Odd Roger Enoksen. The ministry controls a large group of defence-related agencies, not to be related with Ministry of Foreign Affairs that controls all intelligence-related agencies in the country.

Øvre Slottsgate is a tram/light rail station on the Vika Line. The station is served by lines 11, 12 and 13. Thus, it is operated with SL79 high-floor trams and SL95 low-floor trams. Øvre Slottsgate is a short minute walk from bus stations Kvadraturen, Wessels Plass and the now defunct bus and tram stop, Christiania Torv. Nationaltheatret (11,13) and Kontraskjæret (12) are stations succeeding Øvre Slottsgate westbound, while Dronningens gate succeeds Øvre Slottsgate eastbound. The station is also close to the Stortinget station, so it is easy to transfer between the tramway and the metro.

The Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art is a privately owned contemporary art gallery in Oslo in Norway. It was founded and opened to the public in 1993. The collection's main focus is the American appropriation artists from the 1980s, but it is currently developing towards the international contemporary art scene, with artists like Jeff Koons, Richard Prince, Cindy Sherman, Matthew Barney, Tom Sachs, Doug Aitken, Olafur Eliasson, and Cai Guo-Qiang. The museum gives 6-7 temporary exhibitions each year. Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art collaborates with international institutions and produces exhibitions that travel worldwide. In 2012 the museum moved to two new buildings designed by Renzo Piano in Tjuvholmen.
