St Mary's Church, Higham Ferrers

Higham Ferrers Town Hall is a municipal building in the Market Square in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire, England. The structure, which serves as the offices and meeting place of Higham Ferrers Town Council, is a Grade II listed building.

Chichele College is a former medieval chantry college situated in Higham Ferrers, in Northamptonshire, England. Chantry colleges were founded primarily in the 14th and 15th centuries in England. Chicele College was established in the early 15th century by Henry Chichele, Archbishop of Canterbury as a religious learning community for secular canons. The college was seized by Henry VIII in 1542 and many of the buildings were demolished. The remaining buildings were used as an inn during the 18th century and were later converted into farm buildings. The site was designated a scheduled monument in 1981. The surviving structural remains include standing buildings, foundations of walls and buildings, and a rare walled garden which dates to 1425.

Higham Ferrers is a former railway station on the Higham Ferrers branch line from Wellingborough. It served the market town of Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire, England. The station was opened by the Midland Railway on 1 May 1894, and was named Higham Ferrers. It was renamed Higham Ferrers and Irthlingborough on 1 July 1902, but reverted to its original name on 1 October 1910. It was closed by British Railways on 15 June 1959. The line was closed in 1969, and the station has since been demolished and the track lifted. It is the eventual aim of the Heritage Rushden, Higham & Wellingborough Railway to reopen the line to Higham Ferrers from its base at Rushden station.

The Higham Ferrers school shooting was a shooting that occurred on 6 January 1988 at The Ferrers School, Higham Ferrers, England in which a 16-year-old student of the school, Darren Fowler, having been expelled in late 1987, took a 12-gauge shotgun to school in an attempt to kill his romantic rival. He injured two teachers and two twelve-year-old students before being subdued and disarmed by staff.

The Ferrers School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire, England, UK. The school was founded in 1980. It previously held specialist status as an Arts College, and changed its name to The Ferrers Specialist Arts College for a time. After converting to academy status in September 2013 the school changed its name to The Ferrers School. The headteacher is Angela Smith. There were approximately 930 students in Years 7 to 11 on the roll in the 2011–2012 academic year, plus around 160 students in the sixth form, which became independent in September 2023. There are 77 teachers (full-time equivalent) and 54 support staff.

Higham Ferrers is a market town and civil parish in the Nene Valley in North Northamptonshire, England, close to the Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire borders. It forms a single built-up area with Rushden to the south and had a population of 8,827 at the 2021 census. The town centre contains many historic buildings around the Market Square and College Street.

Warmonds Hill is a district of Higham Ferrers (where to population is included), Northamptonshire located north west of the town centre. It westerly border is the River Nene and A45 trunk road while its easterly border is the former A6.

The Rushden, Higham and Wellingborough Railway is a heritage railway operated by the Rushden Historical Transport Society in the town of Rushden in the county of Northamptonshire, England. The aim of the society was to reopen most of the former Midland Railway branch line from Wellingborough to Higham Ferrers, which had been closed completely in November 1969. As of April 2016, around 1⁄2 mile (0.8 km) stretch of the line is operated between Rushden station and Prospect Avenue. The society plans to extend the line to a halt at Higham Ferrers. They are unable to extend back towards Wellingborough due to developments that have taken place along the route of the old branch line.

Rushden and Higham Town Cricket Club is an amateur cricket club based in Rushden, Northamptonshire, England. Rushden have 3 senior XI teams in the Northamptonshire Cricket League, and an established Junior Section, who compete in the Higham & District Youth League. Rushden also field a Sunday XI team who play friendly matches in and around the region.

The Town Ground in Rushden is a cricket ground which was used by Northamptonshire County Cricket Club in 22 first-class matches for 39 years between 1924 and 1963. It is now used predominantly for Northamptonshire Premier League games, serving as the home ground of 2015 Northamptonshire Cricket League Premier Division Champions Rushden and Higham Town Cricket Club since 2003.
