Roseworthy College

Kangaroo Flat is a locality northwest of Gawler in South Australia. It is on the Gawler to Mallala road in the vicinity of the turnoff to Roseworthy College and Wasleys. The locality used to have a school (opened 1902), Methodist church and a debating club, but these are now closed. In 1946, Kangaroo Flat Football Club was formed and joined the Gawler Football Association in the B Grade.

Ward Belt (originally known as Ward's Belt) is a locality to the west of Gawler in South Australia. The area was NOT named after James Ward and his wife, who arrived in South Australia in the Olivia in 1853. The area is predominantly used for grain, beef and sheep farming. When the Max Fatchen Expressway was completed in 2011, it divided Buchfelde so the portion north of the expressway was reassigned to Ward Belt. This included the area of the Gawler Aerodrome which was formerly in Buchfelde but is now in Ward Belt.

Roseworthy is a small town in South Australia, about 10 km north of Gawler on the Horrocks Highway. At the 2016 census, Roseworthy had a population of 994.Roseworthy has a large grain storage facility consisting of both storage silos and bunkers for grain grown in the surrounding areas, and grain is now taken by road transport to Port Adelaide for export where it was once taken by rail. Roseworthy is the junction of the former Peterborough railway line and Morgan railway lines, both constructed as broad gauge railway lines (although the Peterborough line was originally narrow gauge from Terowie to Peterborough), and remained that gauge for their entire service. Both lines were originally built to support export from copper mines, respectively at Burra and Kapunda before being extended beyond those towns. The railways later served primarily to carry grain to port instead of copper, but have now been supplanted by road transport. The Roseworthy campus of the University of Adelaide is the location of Australia's newest Vet School. The School of Animal & Veterinary Sciences provides education and training of animal and veterinary scientists in a research environment. The School offers three academic programs: Animal Science, Veterinary Bioscience and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Roseworthy is a popular stop for many truck drivers with the Roseworthy Roadhouse often bustling with resting travellers and transport drivers as they traverse along the Horrocks Highway.Roseworthy is in the Light Regional Council, the state electoral district of Schubert and the federal divisions of Barker and Grey.

Xavier College is a Catholic co-educational college north of Adelaide, South Australia, consisting of three campuses: Evanston catering for Reception to Year 6 students, Gawler Belt for Years 7–12 and Two Wells which will eventually cater for Reception to Year 12 students. The College was founded in 1995 and operates according to the traditions of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The school enrols approximately 2,000 students across all campuses.Its patron is the priest Saint John Bosco.

Gawler Belt is a locality to the northwest of Gawler in South Australia. The area is predominantly rural in character, although most of the area is now too small allotments to farm profitably, so it is essentially a rural and industrial suburb of Gawler. Gawler Belt is bounded on its southeast side by the Gawler bypass road and Sturt Highway. It is crossed by the now-unused Roseworthy railway line, but there has never been a station in Gawler Belt. The Gawler Belt Inn stood approximately where the Redbanks Road interchange on the Gawler Bypass is now, however the hotel was closed well before the bypass was built. The Inn operated from 1857 until 1913.

The Willaston General Cemetery on Dawkins Avenue, Willaston, South Australia opened on 1 August 1866. to replace the original burial ground on Murray Street, Gawler, South Australia was made in the mid 1850s, with the headstones from the original cemetery moved to the entrance.Interments at the cemetery include: Ephraim Henry Coombe, (1858–1917) journalist and politician Leslie Duncan, (1880–1952), newspaper editor and politician Walter Duffield, (1816–1882) miller, pastoralist and politician Job Harris, (1840–1882) prominently associated with the discovery of gold at the Barossa Goldfields James Martin, (1821–1899) manufacturer and politician Frederick May, (1840–1897) engineer and manufacturer John McKinlay, (1819–1872) explorer Esmond Walter New, (1900–1982) Presbyterian minister and air force chaplain

Templers (postcode 5371) is a small town on the Horrocks Highway north of Gawler, South Australia. The town was named after William Templer who, with his wife Martha, was the licensee of the North Star hotel in the area from 1846 to 1878. The Templers Primary School opened in 1873, but has since closed.The Mount Bethel Wesleyan Jubilee chapel was built in 1863 (completed 1864) by a people who had been meeting regularly in homes and sheds for worship since the early 1850s. It was initially part of the Gawler circuit. From 1870 it was part of a circuit consisting of Templers, Wasleys, Freeling and Sheaoak Log, with Stockport added from 1880.

Gawler Aerodrome is located in Gawler, South Australia. The aerodrome is owned by the Light Regional Council of South Australia and is managed on their behalf by the Adelaide Soaring Club (ASC). The ASC moved to Gawler from Virginia in 1950 and has been flying gliders at Gawler ever since. In 1998 the club spread its wings further and ventured into the world of powered flight in the Recreational Aviation category with the purchase of an Australian made Jabiru. All of the instructors are volunteers and fully qualified which makes training at the ASC very affordable. The ASC continues to train pilots in both Gliding and Light Sports Aircraft (LSA) today and maintains a modern fleet of aircraft. The Gawler Airfield Squadron of the Australian Air League, a national uniformed cadet organisation promoting and encouraging the interest of aviation and flying training in the youth of Australia, is also located at Gawler Aerodrome. The Country Fire Service (CFS) operates its water bombers from this airfield during the bush fire season as required. The location of the airfield has been instrumental in fighting bush fires in this region including the 2015 Sampson Flat bushfires and 2015 Pinery bushfire.

Hewett is a suburb just north of Gawler in South Australia. It includes Mckinlay Estate, Mckinlay Ridge and Harkness Heights housing estates. Hewett has multiple parks and a river walk. The suburb consists of a R-7 Public Primary School, as well as the 'Hewett Shopping Centre'. The 'Hewett Shopping Centre' contains the 'Best' Chicken shop and the 'Best' Bakery, in South Australia. Further land releases are taking place.

Reid is a northern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia in the Town of Gawler. It is a sliver of land bounded by the Gawler bypass road, the Gawler River, and the Gawler-Roseworthy railway line. Reid was excised from Gawler West in 2004 in response to a petition by residents who felt that a different name would make it easier to find their area. It is named after a Mr Reid who was an early landholder in the area.

The Stuart O'Grady Bikeway is a 23 kilometres (14 mi) shared path in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, following the eastern side of the Max Fatchen Expressway. The northeastern end is adjacent to the on ramp from Two Wells Road to the Gawler Bypass. The southwestern end is adjacent to Port Wakefield Road. It is named after Stuart O'Grady.

Willaston is a northern suburb 39 kilometres (24 mi) northeast of the Adelaide city centre in South Australia. It is located in the Town of Gawler.
