DeCew House (variably spelt DeCow, Du Coo or DeCou) was built c.1808 in Thorold Township, Upper Canada. The two-story house had limestone walls 66 centimetres (26 in) thick.

Brockview is a neighbourhood in the city of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, and the home of Brock University. The community is centered at Brock University. To the north are the Niagara Escarpment and Lockhart Drive, to the west is Brock University, to the south is St. David's Road, and to the east is Highway 406.

Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre is Niagara's only specialty rehabilitation hospital, located in the south-end of St. Catharines, Ontario. Its mandate is to provide complex continuing care and rehabilitation services to patients in the city and Niagara Region. Hotel Dieu Shaver is the result of hospital restructuring in St. Catharines which saw the Hotel Dieu Health Sciences Hospital (an acute care hospital in the city's downtown) assume governance and management of the Shaver Hospital and Niagara Peninsula Rehab Centre, which were formerly managed under Niagara Health. Niagara Health assumed responsibility of the facility once occupied by the Hotel Dieu, which became known as the Ontario Street Site of Niagara Health before closing, being replaced by the St. Catharines site in the city's west end. Hotel Dieu Shaver is a stand-alone legal entity, funded by the Ministry of Health. Hotel Dieu Shaver is not part of the Niagara Health System, although works closely with the acute hospital sites.

Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary, founded in 1976, is a seminary of the Lutheran Church–Canada (LCC) affiliated with Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. Its primary purpose is to educate students seeking ordination in LCC, but its graduate degree programs are open to laypeople.

The Goodman School of Business (colloquially referred to as Goodman) is the business school of Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. The business school offers programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level of study. The Goodman School of Business is among the top five per cent of business schools worldwide to attain accreditation by the AACSB as well as membership in Beta Gamma Sigma.On October 12, 2012 Brock announced that its Faculty of Business was being renamed as the Goodman School of Business. The School is named after the family of Ned Goodman, the businessman and investment expert, who provided the University with a transformational gift to the school.

Brock University is a public research university in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It is the only university in Canada in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, at the centre of Canada's Niagara Peninsula on the Niagara Escarpment. The university bears the name of Maj.-General Sir Isaac Brock, who was responsible for defending Upper Canada against the United States during the War of 1812. Brock offers a wide range of programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including professional degrees. Brock was ranked third among Canadian universities in the undergraduate category for research publication output and impact indicators in 2008 (the most recent ranking completed). Brock University is the only school in Canada and internationally to offer the MICA (Mathematics Integrated with Computing and Applications) program. Brock University's Department of Health Sciences offers the only undergraduate degree in Public Health in Canada. At the graduate level, Brock offers 49 programs, including nine PhD programs. Brock's co-op program is Canada's fifth-largest, and the third largest in Ontario as of 2011. The Thorold Cogeneration Station is a natural gas-fired station owned by Northland Power, brought into operation on March 28, 2010. The plant formerly supplied steam to the nearby AbitibiBowater paper mill before the mill was indefinitely idled in March 2017. Power is produced under contract to the Ontario Power Authority.

Bridge 11, also known as the Allanburg Bridge, is a vertical-lift bridge over the Welland Canal within the City of Thorold and community of Allanburg, Ontario, Canada. The location was used for the groundbreaking ceremony for the canal. It was constructed and completed in 1930. The bridge carries Hwy 20 connecting Niagara Falls to Fonthill. The bridge has a 60.9-metre (200 ft) main span. It was designed by Harrington, Howard & Ash, the predecessor of HNTB. It was rehabilitated in 2001 and is a through-truss vertical-lift bridge with 36.5 m (119.8 ft) clearance for shipping.On August 11, 2001, the bridge was struck by the MS Windoc (1959) when the lift span was lowered before the ship cleared the structure. The ship caught fire. After minor repairs to the bridge, it reopened to vehicular traffic on November 16, 2001.

Allanburg is a community within the City of Thorold, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the Welland Canal and Highway 20, both important transportation routes through the Niagara Peninsula. The two cross at a vertical-lift bridge, numbered as Bridge 11 by the Saint Lawrence Seaway Authority, but often known simply as the Allanburg Bridge. The collision of the ship Windoc with the bridge made national news in 2001.
