Punthalathazham

Meenakshi Vilasam Government Vocational Higher Secondary School (MVGVHSS) is a school located in Punthalathazham, India. When it was first established in 1944, the school was situated near Sree Meenakshi Temple and named Kalluvilla Private School. Kunjan Pillai was the manager and headmaster. The school was later relocated to near Peroor Meenakshi Temple. Since then, it has been known as Meenakshi Vilasam School. In 1947, the school came under the control of the Kerala government, and 19 years later it was promoted to a high school. In 1974, the school was divided into primary and high school. Starting in 1993, MVGVHSS offered vocational education, and in 2000, non-vocational higher secondary education was introduced.

This is the first Co-operative Multi Super Specialty Hospital in South Kerala. Thangal Kunju Musaliar Centenary Public School (TKMCPS) was started by Thangal Kunju Musaliar College Trust in the academic year 1997–8 in commemoration of the birth centenary of its founder, late Jb. A Thangal Kunju Musaliar-the educationalist, industrialist and philanthropist. The formal inauguration of this supreme venture was on 12 June 1997 by Jb. Shahal Hassan Musaliar, the President of TKM College Trust.

The Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering, commonly known as TKMCE, is the first government-aided engineering institution in the Indian state of Kerala, with foundation stone laid on 2nd February 1956, and inaugurated on 3 July 1958. The campus is located in Karicode, approximately 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) away from Kollam, Kerala, India. The college was affiliated to Kerala University before getting changed to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University when it was formed in 2015. Karicode or Karikodu is a neighbourhood of Kollam city in India. It is about 5 km away from Kollam city centre. Karicode is the 23rd ward in Kollam Municipal Corporation council. The place is very famous because of the educational institutions by TKM Group(Thangal Kunju Musaliar Group). Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering in Kollam is the first self-financing engineering college in Kerala state. The college, established in 1958, is to be considered as the pioneers in engineering education in Kerala. TKM Arts & Science college is also situated at Karicode.

Kilikolloor, also known as Kilikollur, is a neighbourhood in Kollam district in Kerala, India. It is a center of the cashew industry in the area, and is also a hub of automobile production. National Highway 744 passes through Killikolloor. It is served by Kilikollur railway station, a stop for trains to and from Kollam, Paravur, Punalur, Thiruvananthapuram, Kanyakumari, Ernakulam, and Guruvayur. Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering is located in Kilikollur. A zonal office of Kollam Municipal Corporation is also located in the neighbourhood.

Thattamala is a neighbourhood situated at the southeast border of Kollam city in state of Kerala, India. It is situated at National Highways – NH 66 (Earlier NH 47). Kerala Police have identified Thattamala as one of the traffic black spots in the state. Thattamala was a part of old Vadakkevila panchayath before the constitution of Kollam as a city. In 2000, Kollam was upgraded by the Government of Kerala as the 4th Municipal Corporation of Kerala by merging Vadakkevila, Kilikollur, Sakthikulangara and Eravipuram panchayaths with Kollam Municipality.
