Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium is a 6,500-capacity [1] multi-use stadium located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The stadium is named for Doug Shaw, Sr., the long-time coach of the Myrtle Beach High School Seahawks football team. During his reign on the sidelines, his Seahawk teams went to the AAA state championship game five years in a row, winning the title four times. The stadium is used for football, soccer, and track & field. It is the main venue for rectangular sports in Myrtle Beach but has been displaced by Brooks Stadium as the largest stadium in Horry County for those sports. It remains the county's premiere track & field venue. The field surface is FieldTurf.

Myrtle Heights–Oak Park Historic District is a national historic district located at Myrtle Beach in Horry County, South Carolina. It encompasses 89 contributing buildings and one contributing site. They relate to the period of residential development in Myrtle Beach following the financial collapse of Woodside Brothers, the company that developed the Ocean Forest Hotel and Country Club in the late 1920s. The Myrtle Heights section was opened in 1933 and the Oak Park Section was opened in 1935. The majority of these oceanside residences were built between about 1925 and 1945 and are two-story frame buildings, many of them with one- or two-story attached garages, two-story detached garage apartments, or one-story attached servants’ quarters. They reflect a variety of popular architectural styles, the most prevalent being Colonial Revival. Also represented are the Classical Revival, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow/Craftsman styles.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Pelicans Ballpark (previously known as Coastal Federal Field, BB&T Coastal Field, and TicketReturn.com Field) is located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and is the home field of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, a minor league affiliate of the Chicago Cubs in the Carolina League. The stadium, located just off Highway 17 in Myrtle Beach, opened in 1999. It holds up to 6,599 people. Since its opening, it has been the finish point of the annual Myrtle Beach Marathon, held annually in March.On April 16, 2021, Myrtle Beach Pelicans leaders told WPDE-TV that the facility would need a significant investments in order to keep Minor League Baseball there. The most urgent upgrades to Pelicans Ballpark are to the visiting and home clubhouses, additional team facilities for women staff members, and upgrades to lighting and wall height. The team general manager told the city council during its budget retreat that it is likely to cost $15 million to bring the stadium's current player development facilities up to par and that the stadium won't last another 20 years as it stands.On April 27, 2023, it was announced that the team’s lease agreement with the city of Myrtle Beach and Horry County will expire at the end of this season. Pelicans Ballpark is due for major upgrades worth tens of millions, but some members of county council want out of the deal with one council member asking if they could sell their share for $1. The county attorney stated it was a horrible contract and that the only way the can get out of the contract is to breach it, which is a possibility.

The Hollywood Wax Museum in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is the fourth wax museum owned and operated by descendants of Spoony Singh. Opened on June 14, 2014, it is located at 21st Avenue North and U.S. 17 Bypass as a part of Broadway at the Beach. It features replicas of United States celebrities in film, television and music, as well as a NASCAR set and a section devoted to horror villains. The building is a tribute to the U.S. film industry and includes the 35-foot-tall Great Ape of Myrtle Beach climbing the Empire State Building as a tribute to King Kong (1933 film)

Ocean Forest Country Club, also known as Ocean Forest Hotel and Country Club, is a historic country club and hotel located at Myrtle Beach in Horry County, South Carolina. The club and hotel were designed by an influential New York architect, Raymond Hood (1881-1934) and is an unusual example of Classical Revival architecture. Construction of the club began in 1926 and was completed in 1927. In addition to the hotel / club building, a 27-hole golf course was built in association with the club. It was designed by Robert White, a golf course designer and future president of the Professional Golfers' Association of America. The present 18-hole course dates to 1946.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The Sun Fun Festival of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was first started in 1951 as a way to celebrate the beginning of the tourist season in the seaside community. Parades and family oriented events helped draw crowds down to the beach and the Myrtle Beach Pavilion. Early events included Human Checker Board games and a local "law" requiring everyone to wear shorts or a bathing suit or face a fine. Funds went to help build the area's first hospital, Ocean View Memorial Hospital. Beauty contests soon joined the fun of the festival and in 1952 the first Miss SC pageant was held at the Pavilion. Author Mickey Spillane was one of the judges. Long sponsored by Hawaiian Tropic Sun Tan Lotions, the festival now includes Miss Sun Fun and Miss Bikini Wahine. The Sun Fun Festival is the longest running event in Myrtle Beach area history. It is consistently named one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events. However, the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce cancelled the festival for 2012 and 2013, citing that "it does not bring visitors to the beach as it did in early years and it doesn't pay for itself".On February 25, 2016, The Oceanfront Merchants Association announced the festival will once again be held.
