Smoky Hill High School is located in Aurora, Colorado, United States. It enrolls around 2,600 students. Smoky Hill is part of the Cherry Creek School District and was the second high school built by the district in 1974. It goes by the short name 'Smoky'. The name comes from the fact that the school is located not far from the Smoky Hill Trail, an old pioneer trail stretching from Kansas to Denver.

Cherry Creek State Park is a state park in Arapahoe County, Colorado, United States. The park consists of a natural prairie and wetland environment with an 880-acre (3.6 km2) reservoir at its center which is shared by powerboats, sailboats, and paddle craft. An imported-sand swim beach is situated on the north-eastern side along with ample parking. The park has 12 miles (19 km) of paved roads and 35 miles (56 km) of multi-use trails open to runners, cyclists, and horseback riders. There are facilities for camping, radio-controlled aircraft, picnicking, as well as opportunities for bird watching, cross country skiing, and fishing. The park also contains an outdoor shooting range. There is a dock where people can store their boats during the summer. People can also rent jet skis, paddle boards and kayaks for the day. There is a boat house that has concerts during the summer, serves food and has a bar.

The Town of Foxfield is a statutory town located in Arapahoe County, Colorado, United States. The town population was 754 at the 2020 United States Census. Foxfield is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Front Range Urban Corridor. The town is bordered by the cities of Aurora and Centennial.

Hindu Temple and Cultural Center of the Rockies in Centennial, Colorado is the major Hindu Temple in the Denver, Colorado region. The Hindu Society of Colorado was incorporated in 1984. During 1996-2015 the temple was located in a former church building in Littleton. The formally designed temple opened on July 3, 2015. with Prana Pratishtha on June 5–7, 2015. The temple membership grew to include 1,500 families in 2011. The temple is non-regional and non-sectarian.

Nine Mile station is an island platformed RTD light rail station in Aurora, Colorado, United States. The station was opened on November 17, 2006, and is operated by the Regional Transportation District as part of the H and R lines. When it opened in 2006, it was the terminus of the H Line Southeast Corridor trains traveling along Interstate 225. After the opening of the R Line in 2017, trains on the H Line were extended northeast to Florida station. Nine Mile station is named after, and built at the approximate location of, the historic Nine Mile House, one of several stage stops along the Smoky Hill Trail. This stop was nine miles from Denver.

The station is located alongside Interstate 225 at Iliff Avenue, a little more than one block west of South Blackhawk Street. The station opened on February 24, 2017, and is served by the H and R lines. Iliff station has a 600 space parking structure owned and operated by the City of Aurora. A transit-oriented development project including 424 residences is under construction southeast of the station.

Rangeview High School is a public high school in Aurora, Colorado, United States. It is the second newest of five high schools in Aurora Public Schools. The school offers a variety of Advanced Placement courses. The school is being used as a polling station and was featured on CNN, with Dan Simon reporting.
