Fort Pointe-aux-Trembles was a French fort built during the 17th century in New France.

Pointe-aux-Trembles was a municipality, founded in 1674, that was annexed by Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1982. This was the last city to be merged into Montreal until the 2002 municipal reorganization. On January 1, 2002 this neighbourhood at the far east end of the Island of Montreal became part of the borough of Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles–Montréal-Est. On January 1, 2006 Montreal East demerged, and the borough became Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles. One can find a windmill, at the corner of Notre-Dame Street and Third Avenue, which was built in 1719. Its three storeys make it the tallest windmill in Québec that still stands. In 1650 the Grou family of Rouen France established a land holding here.

La Pointe-de-l'Île (French pronunciation: [la pwɛ̃t də lil]) is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2004. Its population in 2001 was 98,878. The riding was created in 2003 from parts of Anjou—Rivière-des-Prairies, Hochelaga—Maisonneuve, and Mercier ridings.

Îles-de-Boucherville National Park is a provincial park of the province of Quebec. It is administered by Sépaq, the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec, which manages several Quebec parks and wildlife refuges. All provincial parks in Quebec have used the term "national park" since 2002, but there is no connection to the federal national park system, administered by Parks Canada.

Montreal East (in French: Montréal-Est) is an on-island suburb in southwestern Quebec, Canada, on the island of Montreal. Montreal-Est has been home to many large oil refineries since 1915.

The Montreal Refinery is an oil refinery located in the city of Montreal inside the Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough. The refinery is not far from the Montreal East Refinery. This refinery is the largest Suncor Energy refinery.

Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles is a suburban borough (arrondissement) on the eastern tip of the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is located at the eastern end of the Island of Montreal.

Pointe-aux-Trembles station is a commuter rail station operated by Exo in the borough of Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is served by the Mascouche line.The station is located adjacent to Rue Sherbrooke Est in Pointe-aux-Trembles. Two tracks run through the station, but only one is in active service, served by a single low-level side platform on the north side of the tracks. The station has a single exit located on Rue Sherbrooke, with stair and elevator access to an enclosed walkway leading to the platform. As a result, the station is wheelchair-accessible. A shorter emergency exit platform is located on the south side of the tracks. The station's parking lot and bus loop are located on the south side of the tracks, requiring an approximately 400-metre detour to reach the platform. An artwork by Doyon-Rivest entitled Le Quotidien Fantastique consists of a series of brightly coloured motifs on the windows of the enclosed walkway between the station headhouse and the platform.

Pointe-aux-Trembles station was a railroad station in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was located on the corner of Prince-Albert Street and 64th Avenue in the Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough. The station has a disused station building and was an optional stop for two Via Rail routes from Montreal until January 3, 2013. Passengers were directed to use Montreal Central Station, Ahuntsic, or Le Gardeur stations. The Mascouche commuter train line is served by the Pointe-aux-Trembles station nearby. .

The Montreal East Refinery (French: Raffinerie de Montréal-Est) was an oil refinery located in Montreal East and formerly Shell Canada's largest refinery. In October 2010, refinery operations permanently ceased and the facility was subsequently converted into a storage terminal.

Promenade Bellerive Park (French: Parc de la Promenade-Bellerive) is an urban park in the Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is located in between Notre Dame Street East and the Saint Lawrence River. It is 22 hectares (54 acres) large. Throughout its approximately 2km length, it faces the Boucherville Islands and Charron Island. A ferry service to Charron Island runs during the summer.
