Theodor-Heuss-Platz

Theodor-Heuss-Platz is a station on line U2 of the Berlin U-Bahn, located in the Westend district.

The Burkinabe ambassador in Berlin is the official representative of the Government in Ouagadougou to the Government of Germany. He is concurrently accredited in Tallinn (Estonia).

The Haus des Rundfunks ("Broadcasting House"), located in the Westend district of Berlin, the capital city of Germany, is the world's oldest self-contained broadcasting centre. Designed by Hans Poelzig in 1929 after he won an architectural competition, the building contains three large centrally located broadcasting spaces, which are shielded from street noise by the surrounding office wings. It is used today by local ARD broadcaster Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) to make programmes carried by its Inforadio, Kulturradio, and Radio Berlin 88,8 channels. The building's large broadcasting spaces are occasionally also used to host concerts.

The ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin) is the world's largest tourism trade fair. The companies represented at the fair include hotels, tourist boards, tour operators, system providers, airlines and car rental companies. The ITB Berlin takes place annually in March at the Messe Berlin. The fair always has an official partner country, in 2018 (March 7–11) represented by the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In 2020 the ITB Berlin did not take place. Due to the rapid spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) the Federal Ministry of Health and the Federal Ministry of Economics have stated their opinion that ITB Berlin be cancelled. ITB Berlin 2021 and 2022 both took place entirely as virtual events. The next physical ITB Berlin 2023 will be taking place from Wednesday, 8 March to Sunday, 12 March 2022.ITB Berlin (or just ITB) has been running since 1966 and now has managed to establish satellite events in China, India and Singapore.The thematically ordered market segments help visitors and exhibitors to quickly find their way through the wide product range of ITB Berlin: Book World, Business Travel Days, Cruises, Cultural Tourism, Economy Accommodation, eTravel World, Adventure & Responsible Tourism, Gay & Lesbian Travel, ITB Mobile Travel Services, Training and Employment (Career Center), Travel Technology, Trends & Events, Wellness, Youth Travel. In 2012, about 7,000 journalists attended the ITB Berlin, of whom about 1,500 came from abroad. In addition to the industry's leading trade magazines, business and travel journalists from 94 countries also report on the latest travel trends and products. 11,000 exhibitors from 180 countries welcomed 170,000 visitors, among these, 113,000 were trade visitors.

Messe Berlin (Berlin Messegelände) are exhibition grounds in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf precinct of Berlin, Germany, at Masurenallee opposite the Haus des Rundfunks. Since 2011, they have officially been known as "Berlin ExpoCenter City" and operated by the Messe Berlin GmbH company.

Berlin International Green Week (German: Internationale Grüne Woche Berlin), also called simply Green Week, is an important international trade fair held annually in Berlin, Germany, for processors and marketers in agriculture, horticulture and various food industries. Green Week traditionally takes place at the beginning of the year in the Messe Berlin exhibition halls under the Funkturm and is open to the general public. In 2010 it had around 400,000 visitors. That same year, the Paris International Agricultural Show (French: Salon International de l'Agriculture) had 650,000 visitors.Since 2011, the fair is accompanied by protests themed We are fed up!. Between 15,000 and 30,000 people demonstrate against industrial livestock production and for more sustainable farming.

The Berliner Funkturm or Funkturm Berlin (Berlin Radio Tower) is a former broadcasting tower in Berlin. Constructed between 1924 and 1926 to designs by the architect Heinrich Straumer, it was inaugurated on 3 September 1926, on the occasion of the opening of the third Große Deutsche Funkausstellung (Great German Radio Exhibition) in the grounds of the Messe Berlin trade fair in the borough of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. Nicknamed der lange Lulatsch ("the lanky lad"), the tower is one of the best-known points of interest in the city of Berlin and, while no longer used for broadcasting purposes, it remains a protected monument.

The Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof Berlin (short: ZOB Berlin) is a central bus station located at the Funkturm Berlin in the Berlin district Westend of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district. It was initiated by Gustav Severin (founder of the Association of Berlin Bus and Coach Operators) and went into operation in May 1966. It replaced the bus station on the Stuttgarter Platz since 1951 for bus traffic to West Germany. The bus station is used exclusively for long-distance bus travel. A total of 35 bus and coach companies are available for regular and occasional services. The ZOB Berlin is an important point of domestic and international long-distance bus transport.

The Internationales Congress Centrum Berlin (abbreviated ICC Berlin), located in the Westend locality of the Berlin borough of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, is one of the largest conference centres in the world. It is used for conventions, theatrical productions and concerts. In April 2014 it was closed in order to remove asbestos contamination, and remains closed as of 2020. In October 2021, it was temporarily reopened for the art project The Sun Machine Is Coming Down as part of the Berliner Festspiele.

Eissporthalle an der Jafféstraße was a 6,000-capacity indoor arena located in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Berlin, Germany. It opened in 1973 and was home to Berliner Schlittschuhclub. The arena also hosted concerts, most notably the last performance by Led Zeppelin on 7 July 1980 before their reunion concert on 10 December 2007. The building was demolished in 2001.

Kaiserdamm is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on line U2. It is linked to the Messe Nord/ICC station of the Berlin S-Bahn. Opened in 1908, this station was built by A. Grenander. In 1936, it was renamed to Kaiserdamm/Messedamm; in 1967 it got the name Adenauerdamm (Messedamm). However, protests from the people living nearby led to another change to the former name (Adenauer — the chancellor of West Germany was not well liked in Berlin in these days).

These are the results of the boxing competition at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. Medals were awarded in eight weight classes. The competitions were held from 10 to 15 August.The competition featured prominently in the French film L'as des as (1982), whose main character, played by Jean-Paul Belmondo, was the fictitious coach of the French boxing team.
