The Marlboro Township School District is a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade in Marlboro Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising eight schools, had an enrollment of 4,784 students and 440.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.9:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Most public students in ninth through twelfth grades from Marlboro Township attend Marlboro High School, which is part of the Freehold Regional High School District, with some Marlboro students attending Colts Neck High School. The district also serves students from Colts Neck Township, Englishtown, Farmingdale, Freehold Borough, Freehold Township, Howell Township and Manalapan Township. Many Marlboro students attend the various Learning Centers and Academies available at other district high schools and students from other municipalities in the district attend Marlboro High School's Business Learning Center. As of the 2018–19 school year, Marlboro High School had an enrollment of 1,822 students and 127.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.3:1 and Colts Neck High School had an enrollment of 1,358 students and 94.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.4:1.

Marlboro Jewish Center (Congregation Ohev Shalom), in Marlboro, New Jersey, is a Conservative Jewish synagogue. It has been opened since 1970. Current spiritual leaders are Rabbi Michael Pont and Cantor Michelle Teplitz. This congregation has contributed to the community as a top USY chapter in all of New Jersey.

The Old Scots Burying Ground is a historic cemetery located on Gordon's Corner Road in the Wickatunk section of Marlboro Township, in Monmouth County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 15, 2001, for its significance in history and religion. The Old Scots Burying Ground is about an acre in size, about 195 feet above sea level and dates back to 1685. The total number of burials at the cemetery is not precisely known, suggested by Symms, "There are a large number of graves in Old Scots yard without any inscribed stones". Some reports place the number as at least 100 known graves with most headstones of brown sandstone. However, more recent research using ground penetrating radar reported by the Old Tennent Church in 2001 has put the number of confirmed sites at about 122 graves with a possible 140 more unmarked; placing the number at about 262 total graves in the cemetery. In 1945, in an attempt to clean out the site of vegetation and over-growth, a bulldozer was used on the property and as a result some headstones were dislodged and broken stones removed. The defining structure in the cemetery is a tall monument to Rev. John Boyd, created by the J&R Lamb Company. Built to commemorate the first recorded Presbyterian ordination of Rev. John Boyd. The monument is currently owned by the Synod of the Northeast who holds the property deed but it is maintained by the Old Tennent Church. The last identified burial was in 1977.

Marlboro Township is a township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The township is located within the Raritan Valley region and is a part of the New York Metropolitan Area. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 41,502, an increase of 1,311 (+3.3%) from the 2010 census count of 40,191, which in turn reflected an increase of 5,449 (+16.3%) from the 33,423 counted in the 2000 census.Marlboro Township was formed by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 17, 1848, from portions of Freehold Township. The township was named for the marl beds found in the area.

Peppadew Fresh Vineyards was a winery in the Morganville section of Marlboro in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Formerly a flower farm, grapes were first planted in 2011, and the winery opened to the public in 2012. As of 2018, Peppadew's farm winery license issued by the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control of the State of New Jersey no longer appeared on the state's list of licensees.

The Monmouth County Library is the county library system for Monmouth County, New Jersey. It is headquartered in Manalapan, New Jersey. The system was created in 1922.The two largest locations are Headquarters (Manalapan) and Eastern Branch (Shrewsbury). There are additionally eleven full branch locations, in the municipalities of Allentown, Colts Neck, Hazlet, Holmdel, Howell, Marlboro, Ocean Township, Oceanport, and Wall Township. Residents of these municipalities have the easiest access to branches and their materials.In addition there are fourteen municipalities that have their own libraries but are members of the Monmouth County Library System, meaning their libraries can borrow materials from the county system but not vice versa. Additionally there are another fourteen municipalities that have no libraries of their own but are members of the county system. Thus the county system comprises in some way 41 of the 53 municipalities in Monmouth County. A majority of Monmouth County towns pay county library taxes and their residents are entitled to free library cards in the county library system. The remaining twelve municipalities have their own libraries that are not part of the county system. Instances of such libraries include the Freehold Public Library and the Belmar Public Library. Residents of nonmember towns can purchase library cards in the Monmouth County Library system.

Wickatunk is an unincorporated community located within Marlboro Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. Elevation above sea level is 180 feet (55 m). It was founded in 1695 by three Scottish servants from the community of Toponemus (no longer in existence in Marlboro Township). Originally surveyed by George Keith, in a letter he states: "After some time I may give thee a particular account of all thy land I have surveyed for thee and what I reckon dew for it. John Laing and his family are well and lyke to do well, and so John Sym and his family. Also thou hast thy share laid out at Wickington (Wickatunk). After the initial settlement, the plan in the early 1700s called for a village center with small town lots surrounded by plantations. However, that plan was not workable as it did not allow for townspeople to have farming land.Research suggests the name derives from the Delaware (Algonquian) "wikwetung", meaning "the fishing place".

The Manalapan EpiCentre opened in 2002 on the corner of U.S. Route 9 southbound and Symmes Drive in Manalapan, New Jersey. The mall serves the Marlboro and Freehold area. It replaced the earlier Manalapan Mall that was demolished in 1998.

Marlboro High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in Marlboro Township, in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades as one of the six secondary schools of the Freehold Regional High School District (FRHSD). The school serves students from portions of Marlboro Township. Marlboro High School hosts the Business Administration Magnet Program (BAMP), a selective magnet program offered within FRHSD, so there are students attending Marlboro High School from across the county. Students that are a part of the BAMP take advanced classes that are more in-depth than regular classes. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1974.Students at Marlboro High School all come from Marlboro Township, with other students from Marlboro attending Colts Neck High School. The Freehold Regional High School District serves students from Colts Neck Township, Englishtown, Farmingdale, Freehold Borough, Freehold Township, Howell Township, Manalapan Township and Marlboro Township.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,837 students and 113.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 16.3:1. There were 85 students (4.6% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 15 (0.8% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The Devitte Military Academy was an American military academy founded in 1918 by Major Leopold Devitte and Suzanne Jacques DeVitte. It started as the "Devitte School" but changed its name in 1927. It closed in 1979.Starting out as co-educational residential school, in 1920, it became an all-male school. It was located on Wolleytown Road in the Morganville section of Marlboro Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey.At its start, the school campus covered about 70 acres. In 1931 it expanded to 80 acres. By 1974, the campus had been scaled back to 58 acres of "athletic and academic facilities".The school closed in 1943 but reopened in 1952.Most of the students were from the United States, Mexico and Central America.

Marlboro is an unincorporated community located within Marlboro Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States.The settlement is located along Route 79 north of its interchange with Route 18.Marlboro was likely named for its early use of marl as a fertilizer.By 1873, Marlboro had a post office, school, hotel, multiple stores, churches, and a railroad station of the Freehold and Keyport Railroad. In 1882, the population was 102.Marlboro was described in 1939 as having "large frame houses comfortably spaced along the highway".: 555 

Raritan Bay Medical Center (RBMC) consists of two general acute care hospitals, located within the heart of the Raritan Valley region, servicing the Raritan Bayshore communities in Middlesex and Monmouth counties. The hospitals are located in Old Bridge (113 bed) and Perth Amboy (365 bed); both are non-profit, academic medical centers servicing the Central Jersey area. RBMC is a part of the Hackensack Meridian Healthcare network.
