Erlands Point-Kitsap Lake is an unincorporated area and former census-designated place (CDP) in Kitsap County, Washington, United States. The population was 2,935 at the 2010 census. For the 2020 census, the area was split into two CDPs, Erlands Point and Kitsap Lake. Based on per capita income, one of the more reliable measures of affluence, Erlands Point-Kitsap Lake ranks 84th of 522 areas in the state of Washington to be ranked.

Erlands Point is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Kitsap County, Washington, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 916. Prior to 2020, it was part of the Erlands Point-Kitsap Lake CDP. Erlands Point is in the center of the county, on a point of land extending into Dyes Inlet from the west. Chico Bay, an arm of Dyes Inlet, borders the point to the north, and Ostrich Bay, another arm, borders the point to the east and south. The CDP is bordered by the city of Bremerton to the south, by the CDP of Kitsap Lake to the southwest, and by Chico to the northwest. To the northeast, across Dyes Inlet, is Tracyton, and to the southeast, across Ostrich Bay, is Rocky Point. State Route 3 forms the western boundary of the Erlands Point CDP; the highway leads south into the western part of Bremerton and north 12 miles (19 km) to Poulsbo. Downtown Bremerton is 6 miles (10 km) southeast of Erlands Point.

Kitsap Lake is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Kitsap County, Washington, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 1,997. Prior to 2020, it was part of the Erlands Point-Kitsap Lake CDP. The Kitsap Lake CDP is in the center of the county, bordered to the south and east by the city of Bremerton, to the northeast by Erlands Point, and to the north by Chico. The CDP is in the valley of Kitsap Creek, north of (downstream from) Kitsap Lake, a water body that is within the Bremerton city limits. Downtown Bremerton is 6 miles (10 km) east-southeast of the Kitsap Lake CDP.

Dyes Inlet is an inlet on the Kitsap Peninsula in western Washington, USA. Silverdale, Washington is located on the north shore of the inlet and has a marina, waterfront park, boat ramp, and boardwalk. The west shoreline is part of Chico, Washington and the east shoreline is Tracyton, Washington. Dyes Inlet is connected to Port Orchard via the Port Washington Narrows, Port Washington being an earlier name for the inlet. It was named for John W. W. Dyes, a taxidermist with the Wilkes Expedition of 1841. Chico Creek and Clear Creek are the major fresh waterways that drain into the inlet. Both creeks have heavy salmon runs during the fall.Dyes Inlet has hosted Unlimited Light Hydroplane races. The inlet is also referenced in Death Cab for Cutie's song 'Northern Lights' on their ninth studio album Thank You for Today.

Ostrich Bay is a small bay in Bremerton on the Kitsap Peninsula in the U.S. state of Washington. Approximately 1.2 miles long and 0.5 miles wide, the bay has a maximum depth of 45 feet. It is connected to Oyster Bay to the south, and Dyes Inlet to the north. On the west side of Ostrich Bay is Jackson Park, a naval housing neighborhood built on the former site of Naval Ammunition Depot Puget Sound. On the east shore of the bay is Marine Drive, a long, narrow stretch of land part of Bremerton. Marine Drive separates Ostrich Bay from the shallow, narrow body of water known as Mud Bay between Marine Drive and Rocky Point. Despite being half a mile wide, the passage to Oyster Bay south of Ostrich Bay is much more narrow due to Madrona Point. The bay was named by naval captain Charles Wilkes in 1841 during the United States Exploring Expedition, from the shape of Ostrich and Oyster bays combined looking like an ostrich when facing south. Ostrich Bay has long been monitored for environmental concerns from the Naval Ammunition Depot Puget Sound that once operated on the bay. Between 1904 and 1959, munitions were manufactured, processed, stored, and dismantled. Two piers were operated on Ostrich Bay to transport munitions by barge. The Jackson Park Housing Complex was added to the US Environmental Protection Agency's Superfund list in 1994, including the west shoreline of Ostrich Bay. N.A.D. Puget Sound has had an environmental effect on Ostrich Bay. During barge transit and loading, many munitions were lost into the bay. In 1981, a survey found 18,000 buried ordinances on the shore of Ostrich Bay. In the summer of 2015 alone, more than 400 fuses were found in Ostrich Bay. During the depot's operation in the 20th century, several sources reported the water occasionally turning yellow from ammonium picrate contamination. As a result of operations from N.A.D. Puget Sound, the Kitsap County Health Department prohibited commercial and recreational harvest of shellfish at Ostrich Bay in 1969.

Kitsap Lake is a lake in Kitsap County, Washington. The lake is near the exact center of the Kitsap Peninsula, roughly between the Dyes Inlet in the Puget Sound and the Blue Hills peak range. It is located on the edge of the Bremerton, Washington city limits.Kitsap Lake is 238 acres in area. It is shallow, reaching only 27 feet deep at its deepest point.

Central Kitsap High School is a secondary school located in Silverdale, Washington, United States. It is one of seven secondary schools in the Central Kitsap School District. CKHS teaches grades 09–12. CKHS was for the first time ranked in the top 2% of the nation academically in 1984 and has continued to be through the 2015–2016 school year. CKHS has also garnered two Washington Achievement Awards for closing the Achievement Gap, and has also appeared regularly in the U.S. News & World Report as a nationally ranked school (Data complications with the move to adding ninth graders in 2014–2015 have led to an erroneous omission for the 2016 list). CKHS is a four-year high school, serving grades 9-12 on and off since 1924, as district reconfigurations occur periodically. It was built in 1924 and is the second oldest high school in the state. Beginning in school year 2016–2017, CKHS began competing in the South Sound Conference with seven other 3A schools. In the fall of 2017, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new CKHS and Central Kitsap Middle School building was held. CKHS moved to the new building over the summer of 2019, with classes beginning in the new building in the fall of 2019.

Central Kitsap School District 401 is a public school district in Kitsap County, Washington, United States. It serves unincorporated portions of the county, including the community of Silverdale, and portions of the City of Bremerton. As of June 2014, the district has an enrollment of 11,091 students. Approximately one-quarter of students are from military families, and one half are from families economically dependent on the US Navy. It consists of CK High and Middle school, Klahowya, and other schools like Ridgetop or Fairview

Klahowya Secondary School (or KSS) is a public secondary school located in Silverdale, Washington. It was established in 1997 as part of Central Kitsap School District. Klahowya Secondary School was constructed in 1996-1997 as a 133,715 square foot facility with 34 classrooms, 13 labs, a gym, auditorium, and library for grades 6-12.

Clear Creek Trail is an urban trail in Silverdale, Washington, "at once in the suburbs and simultaneously immersed in the natural world". In a 2011 book by Mountaineers Books, it was reported to be over seven miles long. The trail extends along Clear Creek from its uplands near the Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor Trigger Avenue gate on State Route 3 to the creek's estuary at Dyes Inlet.

Olympic High School is a secondary school located in Bremerton, Washington, United States. It is one of six secondary schools in the Central Kitsap School District. OHS educates grades 9–12. Course offerings include several Advanced Placement courses, a college in the High School program in partnership with Central Washington University, and an advanced Career and Technical Education program called Project Lead the Way. The school also offers students programs in vocal and instrumental music, and Sports medicine. In 2017, community support allowed the school to begin a major modernization project. The center of the building will be demolished. A two-story building will be constructed in its place. The addition will include career and technical classrooms, an updated library, an auditorium and commons areas. The project will not be complete by fall 2018. The school's main gym is also the home venue for the Kitsap Admirals of the American Basketball Association and International Basketball League.
