Sweet Hall (also known as Sweethall) is an unincorporated community on the northern bank of the Pamunkey River in southeastern King William County, Virginia, United States. In none of the information easily available online about Sweet Hall is there mention that the owners were slaveholders, and that the structures were probably built and renovated by enslaved persons. Also, "outbuildings" were mentioned, but no mention was made of slave quarters, which surely existed. Enslaved persons were captive there until they followed the Union Army out of the area around 1863. Weevils in the Wheat was "an expression used by slaves to communicate to one another that their plans for a secret meeting or dance had been discovered and that the gathering was called off. The small community includes two properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places: Sweet Hall and Windsor Shades. The Sweet Hall Marsh (part of the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve) is located just south-southeast of the community.

Windsor Shades (also known as Ruffin's Ferry and Waterville) is located on the Pamunkey River in Sweet Hall, Virginia, United States. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Archeological native artifacts found on the property surrounding the house suggest it was the site of Kupkipcok, a Pamunkey village noted on John Smith's 1609 map.

Sweet Hall is a historic former plantation house for which the existing location Sweet Hall, Virginia is named. The only surviving house in the county with upper cruck roof framing (once common in rural England but never in what became the United States), it has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1977.

The Lanesville Christadelphian Church is a historic church building located at 7442 Mount Olive Cohoke Road in King William County, Virginia. Dating back to the late 1800s, the church is an example of a vernacular rural Virginia architecture, characterized by its rectangular footprint, simple architectural features, and large windows. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 14, 2019.

Newington Archaeological Site is a historic plantation and archaeological site located at King and Queen Courthouse, King and Queen County, Virginia. It was the birthplace and childhood home of Founding Father Carter Braxton, a signatory of the Declaration of Independence. Both the original plantation and its reconstruction had burnt down by the first decade of the 20th century. The property contains both archaeological ruins and surviving landscape elements from the former 18th century plantation. While a stone building is the only above ground 18th century structure remaining, among other ruins, the location of the plantation mansion, two outbuilding foundations, and two cellars have been identified. The existing landscape elements include a cemetery, historic road, and the terraces of a falling garden. The property also contains Native American deposits associated mostly with the Woodland period (1200 BC – AD 1600). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Sandy Point State Forest is a state forest located in King William County, Virginia, 2,043 acres (8.27 km2) in size. The forest is characterized by its concentration of water-based resources. Recreational activities are allowed on the property, as well as hunting and fishing.

Sweet Hall Marsh (also known as Sweethall Marsh) is a 353-hectare (870-acre) tidal marsh located on the northern edge of the Pamunkey River in southeastern King William County, Virginia, United States, just south-southeast of the unincorporated community of Sweet Hall. It is privately owned by the Tacoma Hunting and Fishing Club and is one of four components of the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. Due to its low elevation (0 feet [0 m]) and rising sea level, the marsh's fresh water ecosystem is in jeopardy.

King and Queen Courthouse Green Historic District is a national historic district located at King and Queen Court House, near Shacklefords, King and Queen County, Virginia. It encompasses eight contributing buildings, seven contributing structures, and two contributing objects in the county seat of King and Queen County. The district includes a small courthouse compound with a courthouse, clerk's office, and county jail (partially delineated by a brick wall), a granite monument and brick wall, a hotel / tavern building, a school, a specialty store building (currently used to house state offices), and a residence on the site of another hotel and tavern. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

King and Queen Court House is a census-designated place (CDP) in, and the county seat of King and Queen County, Virginia, United States. As of the 2020 census, King and Queen Court House had a population of 82. The community runs along State Route 14, on the north side of the valley of the Mattaponi River. King and Queen Court House is the location of Central High School, a post office, several businesses, and a government complex that includes the county's old and new court houses.
