Port Costa School

The Shannon-Williamson Ranch, is located in Antioch, California. The Williamson family settled in Antioch in 1867. They were granted a homestead in 1874 signed by then U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant. The original house burned down in 1895. The current house that stands is the one that was rebuilt after the fire. The ranch operated from 1875 to 1949. The ranch was saved in 1987 by the efforts of one of the inhabitants of the house Donald Williamson. The once 4,000-acre (1,600 ha) ranch raised crops such as wheat, barley, hay, and livestock. The ranch currently retains approximately 3 acres (1.2 ha) of the former ranch including a two-story Italianate house, 3 barns and several other buildings including outbuildings and a small orchard. The ranch is currently closed to the public and there are currently no plans for the future of the house and property. The surrounding area has been named after the ranch such as the housing subdivision and the shopping mall directly across the street from it. The ranch property has a fence that surrounds the entire property.

Deer Valley High School in Antioch, California, is a public secondary school serving southeast Antioch in Contra Costa County, California. It opened in 1996. In 2007, the Antioch Unified School District named Scott Bergerhouse and Clarence Isadore co-principals. The co-principal model has previously been implemented in some larger schools in southern California. In February 2010, Deer Valley and the rest of the AUSD schools were informed that they would issue a uniform policy in the second semester of the 2010–2011 school year. This policy proved to be a failure for the school, partly due to the policy taking effect halfway through the year. The policy was discontinued by its second month.

Dozier-Libbey Medical High School is a public school located in Antioch, California, with a focus on health and medicine. The school is named for Dr. Thomas (Tom) Dozier and Dr. Joseph H. (Joe) Libbey, 2 local physicians who practiced in the area from the 1930s through the late 1980s. With English and science test scores that are above the state average, this school has earned awards such as the California Gold Ribbon Award and has been recognized as one of the best high schools in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report. The school's mission statement reads, "DLMHS exists to challenge students with exciting rigorous instruction that prepares them with the knowledge and experience to succeed in health science professions and college."

Antioch station is a Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station on the Yellow Line. It is located in the median of Highway 4 at Hillcrest Avenue in Antioch, California. Antioch station is the eastern terminus of the BART to Antioch (eBART) section of the line.

Heritage High School is a high school in Brentwood, California, United States. It opened on August 1, 2005, with a freshman and sophomore class.

Freedom High School is located in Oakley, California, United States. It opened in 1996 on the grounds of Liberty High School, before moving to the new campus, as a part of the Liberty Union High School District. The current Liberty Union High School District contains Freedom, Liberty, Heritage, and Independence High Schools.

Sutter Delta Medical Center is a 145-bed general medical/surgical hospital in Antioch, California. A Level II Trauma Center, Sutter Delta is a not-for-profit teaching hospital and is ranked as a High Performing hospital for COPD and heart failure. It is part of Sutter Health. Originally founded as Antioch Hospital in 1927, it became Delta Memorial Hospital in the 1960s and joined Sutter Health in 1990. As of 2020, the CEO is Sherrie Hickman, who previously worked at Sutter Novato Community Hospital and in leadership roles at Kaiser Permanente and Dignity Health.

Angelo Quinto (March 10, 1990 – December 26, 2020) was a 30-year-old Filipino-American Navy veteran who died on December 26, 2020, from complications after being knelt on the neck by a police officer three days earlier. Prior to the encounter, police were responding to a call that Quinto was suffering from a mental health crisis. On February 18, 2021, Quinto's family and their lawyer, John Burris, filed a complaint against the Antioch Police Department.

The Contra Costa Canal is a 47 mi (76 km) aqueduct in the US state of California. Its construction began in 1937, with delayed completion until 1948 due to World War II shortages in labor and materials. A portion of the canal's right of way has been developed as the Contra Costa Canal Regional Trail, a biking and walking trail, and is managed by the East Bay Regional Park District.

Oakley Union Elementary School District is a public school district in Contra Costa County, California, United States. Oakley Union oversees nine public schools, including seven elementary schools (KG–5) and two middle schools (6–8).

Big Break Regional Shoreline is a regional park in Oakley, Contra Costa County, northern California. It is a part of the East Bay Regional Park District system.

Oakley station is a planned station that will be a stop on Amtrak California's San Joaquin service. It is located near Main Street between O'Hara Avenue and 2nd Street. The station was partially funded by a 2018 grant from California's Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program. Construction was expected to be completed by 2022. As of March 2023, the station is expected to open in the third quarter of 2024, replacing Antioch–Pittsburg station.
