John Brown University (JBU) is a private, interdenominational, Christian university in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Founded in 1919, JBU enrolls 2,343 students from 33 states and 45 countries in its traditional undergraduate, graduate, online, and concurrent education programs.The 200-acre (0.81 km2) main campus in northwest Arkansas has been the site of the university since it was founded in 1919. JBU has 2,343 students as of the 2021–2022 school year, 1,228 of whom are on-campus undergraduates. Of these, 818 live on campus. In addition, the university has two off-campus locations: a classroom facility in Rogers, Arkansas, and a Counseling Education Center in Little Rock with classrooms, offices and a Community Counseling Clinic. The Graduate School at John Brown University has 483 students and offers 16 graduate degrees in business, education, counseling, and cybersecurity.JBU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and competes athletically in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Programs within the university have specialized accreditation from Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), and Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

The Simon Sager Cabin is a historic log cabin on the campus of John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Built in the 1830s, it is believed to be the very first homestead cabin built in northwestern Arkansas. It is a single-story structure fashioned out of hand-hewn logs that have been squared and chamfered, and joined by notches, with the gaps filled by limestone chinking. It originally was located downtown near the present-day city park, but was relocated to the John Brown University campus.The cabin was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Oak Hill Mausoleum, now Oak Hill Chapel, is a historic religious and funerary building in Oak Hill Cemetery, the oldest cemetery in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The massive granite Classical Revival structure was built in 1916 with funding raised by a local citizen group, and originally had a capacity of 72 burials. The mausoleum was designed by Cecil E. Bryan with an interior following a standard plan he used on other small mausoleums. The exterior is what sets this mausoleum apart from others he designed. He was inspired by the works of his former employer, Louis Sullivan.The building deteriorated in condition, and its burials were relocated elsewhere within the cemetery. It was rescued from demolition and restored for use as a chapel. The building is regionally distinctive, because northwestern Arkansas is not known for having mausoleums at all, and the heavy stonework and Classical Revival styling are also fairly rare in the area.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

KLRC (90.9 MHz) is a non-commercial FM radio station licensed to Tahlequah, Oklahoma. It serves sections of Northwest Arkansas, Eastern Oklahoma and Southwest Missouri. KLRC broadcasts a Christian adult contemporary radio format and is owned by John Brown University. It is simulcast on KLAB at 101.1 MHz in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, as well as FM translators 99.1 K256BG in Bentonville, 101.1 K266BS in Van Buren and 103.5 K278BG in Springdale. KLRC and KLAB use periodic on-air fundraisers to seek support from listeners for the running of the stations. KLRC has an effective radiated power of 100,000 watts, the maximum for non-grandfathered FM stations. The transmitter is on North 4670 Road in Dripping Springs, Oklahoma. KLAB is powered at 7,700 watts, using a transmitter on West University Street in Siloam Springs. The studios and offices are on North Broadway in Siloam Springs.

The Maxwell-Sweet House is a historic house at 114 South College in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick structure, roughly square in shape with a projecting front section. It has a tile hip roof with extended eaves, and a porch that wraps around the front project, supported by brick piers with concrete capitals. The house was built in 1921 by a prominent local banker, who lost both his business and house in 1928. The property includes a period garage and carriage barn.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Duckworth-Williams House is a historic house at 103 South College Street in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It is a two-story stuccoed brick building, with a side gable roof that has a wide shed-roof dormer on the front. The roof extends across the front porch, which is supported by four stuccoed brick columns. The side walls of the house have half-timbered stucco finish. Built c. 1910, this is the only Tudor Revival house in Siloam Springs.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Henry Furniture Store Building is a historic commercial building at 107 West University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It is a single-story brick building, with an angled recessed storefront topped by a raised brick parapet set above brick corbelling and a pressed metal cornice. Built c. 1900, it is the best example in the city of commercial architecture from that time period.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Crown Hotel, formerly the Lakeside Hotel is a historic hotel building at 119 West University Street in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick building in an L shape, with a hip roof topped by a low cupola. It is distinguished by the brickwork at the roofline, and by the delicately spindled two-story porch that wraps around two sides of the building. Built in 1881, just one year after the city's founding, it is one of the city's oldest commercial buildings, and may have been its first brick hotel.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Quell House is a historic house at 222 South Wright Street in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It is a 1+1⁄2-story Craftsman bungalow with a shallow-pitch side gable roof, and a front gabled porch extending across the front which is supported by stuccoed piers. The gables have deep eaves and exposed rafter ends. The walls are finished in stucco that had a gravel-like material thrown against it while wet, giving it a rough and textured surface. Built c. 1920, it is a fine local example of the Craftsman/bungalow style.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Reeves House is a historic house at 321 South Wright Street in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It is a two-story wood-frame structure, with a side gable roof, wood clapboards and shingling, and a stone and concrete foundation. Its front facade is dominated by a central projecting clipped-gable section, whose gable is partially finished in diamond-cut wood shingles, and which shelters a second story porch over a broader first-story porch. Both porches have jigsawn decorative woodwork and turned posts. The house, built in 1895, is one of the finest high-style Queen Anne Victorians in the city.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Connelly-Harrington House is a historic house at 115 East University Street in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It is an architecturally eclectic two story brick structure, exhibiting elements of Prairie Style, Classical Revival, and Craftsman architecture. The house was built c. 1913 for a prominent local banker, and has since served as a hospital and as the offices of the local chamber of commerce.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Bratt-Smiley House is a historic house at University Street and Broadway in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
