Euharlee Creek

The Euharlee Covered Bridge, also known as the Euharlee Creek Covered Bridge or rarely the Lowry Bridge, is a wooden Town lattice covered bridge crossing Euharlee Creek in Euharlee, Georgia, United States, a small town west of Cartersville. The bridge was built after the raging creek swept away an old bridge on the property of Daniel Lowry. The collapse of the bridge killed one man. A new bridge was built using some materials provided by Lowry next to the mill located adjacent to the bridge site. The bridge was built in 1886 by Horace King's son Washington King and Johnathan H. Burke. The bridge spans 138 feet. The lattice trusses consist of planks crisscrossing at 45- to 60-degree angles and are fastened with wooden pegs, or trunnels, at each intersection. Traffic stopped across the bridge in 1980 when a new two-lane bridge was built.

Black Pioneers Cemetery in Euharlee, Georgia was in use from approximately 1830–1900, and had over 300 graves. It was largely forgotten until 2002 when Euharlee Historical Society saved the site from development.

Plant Bowen, commonly known as Bowen Steam Plant, is a coal-fired power station located just outside Euharlee, Georgia, United States, approximately 8.7 mi (14 km) west-south-west from Cartersville. At over 3,450 megawatts, Plant Bowen is the largest coal-fired power plant in North America. The station is connected to the southeastern power grid by numerous 500 kV transmission lines, and is owned and operated by Georgia Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company.

Raccoon Creek is a 21-mile-long(35 km) waterway which traverses through two counties in Georgia, U.S., beginning in Paulding County and joining the Etowah River in Bartow County. The waterway begins near the town of Yorkville, Georgia and ends near the town Stilesboro, Georgia.

Kingston Saltpeter Cave is the largest cave in Bartow County, Georgia, United States of America, and was formerly used as a source of saltpeter, the critical oxidizing component of gunpowder, by the Confederate States of America during the American Civil War (1861–1865). The cave is now a preserved area composed of 40 acres of largely hardwood forest, underlain by a variety of wildflowers and mosses. In late 1983 the property was acquired by the Felburn Foundation in order to preserve, maintain, and protect it for future generations.
