Rayleigh and Wickford is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since its 2010 creation by Mark Francois, a Conservative.

The King Edmund School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Rochford, Essex, England. It is a specialist BEC and applied learning college. It teaches a variety of subjects including: modern foreign languages, hospitality, technology, performing arts, business studies, humanities, social sciences, law as well as the core subjects including: Maths, English and Science. The Sixth Form is mixed with Year 12 and 13 students.

Magnolia Fields or Magnolia Park is a 9.7 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Hawkwell in Essex. It is owned by Rochford District Council and managed by Hawkwell Parish Council.The site is a former brickworks and evidence of its former activity is still visible, including a pond. There is a wide variety of birds, including bullfinches.There is access from Magnolia Road.

Rochford Hall is a manor in Rochford, Essex, England. During the reign of King Henry VIII, it belonged to Thomas Boleyn, who was then Viscount Rochford, and it was the marital home of his daughter Mary Boleyn, sister of Anne Boleyn, and Mary's second husband, Sir William Stafford. It is now privately owned by Rochford Hundred Golf Club where it acts as the clubhouse and is a Grade I listed building.

Rochford Rural District was a rural district with an area of 146.01 square kilometres in the county of Essex, England. It was created in 1894, in 1897 the parish of Leigh was removed to create the Leigh-on-Sea Urban District. In 1926 the parish of Canvey Island was removed to create the Canvey Island Urban District. In 1929 the parishes of Hadleigh, South Benfleet and Thundersley were removed to create the Benfleet Urban District, at the same time the parishes of Rayleigh and Rawreth were removed to create the Rayleigh Urban District. Since 1 April 1974 it has formed part of the District of Rochford. At the time of its dissolution it consisted of the following 12 civil parishes. The Corn Exchange, also known as the Women's Institute Hall, is a commercial building in West Street in Rochford, Essex, England. The structure, which is now used by the local branch of the Women's Institute, is a Grade II listed building.

Rochford is a town and civil parish in the Rochford District in Essex, England, 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Southend-on-Sea, 43 miles (69 km) from London and 21 miles (34 km) from Chelmsford. At the 2011 census, the civil parish had a population of 8,471.

Other places in the district include Hockley, Ashingdon, Great Wakering, Canewdon and Hullbridge. The district wraps around the north of the city of Southend-on-Sea, with Southend Airport falling within the district. Most of the built-up areas are in the west of the district along the Shenfield to Southend Victoria railway. The eastern part of the district is more sparsely populated and has a stretch of coast at Foulness Island. The neighbouring districts are Southend-on-Sea, Castle Point, Basildon, Chelmsford and Maldon.

Hawkwell is a village and civil parish in the district of Rochford in Essex, England. It is the second largest village after Rayleigh. The 2001 census gave a population for the parish of 11,231, increasing to 11,730 at the 2011 Census.Hawkwell is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, but not as 'Hawkwell', it appears as Hacuuella or Hechuuella.

Rochford was a County Constituency in Essex, represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1983 until 1997. It elected one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.

Greensward Academy is a comprehensive school and academy for 11- to 18-year-olds, located in Hockley, Essex.Greensward has approximately 200 staff and 1450 students, including 260 in the sixth form. Its main feeder schools are Plumberow Primary School, Hockley Primary School, Westerings Primary School and Ashingdon Primary Academy, and also takes students from various other schools in the area.The 2011 inspection report states that "The academy has specialisms in science and applied learning and also has Leading Edge and Training School Status".
