The Mall at Robinson

Robinson Town Centre is an expansive, open-air power center located near The Mall at Robinson in Robinson Township, Pennsylvania. Announced on June 28, 1987, and completed in 1988, it is situated nearly 15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh along Interstate 376 (Parkway West) and Route 60. Robinson Town Centre spurred development of the shopping districts in the western hills of Allegheny County. The mall and town center serve as the main shopping district for residents of Pittsburgh's Airport Area. Both The Mall at Robinson and Robinson Town Centre are owned by Forest City Enterprises of Cleveland, Ohio. Other developments include The Pointe at North Fayette, Robinson Crossroads, Robinson Court, and Settlers Ridge. The first tenants at Robinson Town Centre included a Hills discount store, Children's Palace toy store, a Dahlkemper's catalog showroom, Sears appliances, Phar-Mor drug and discount store, Pappan's Family Restaurant, Sun TV, and OfficeMax, among other small retail stores. Marshalls, JoAnn Fabrics, and TJ Maxx are among the original tenants that still exist at the centre. This development also made way for the first IKEA store within a six-hour distance. Other tenants today include Ichiban Hibachi, HomeGoods, Kirkland's, and Famous Footwear.

Settlers Ridge is an open-air lifestyle center in Robinson Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania about halfway between Penn Center West and the Robinson Town Centre. The $100 million shopping complex opened for business on October 30, 2009, with phase two of the development currently under construction as of Spring 2011. It is owned by O'Connor/Real Vest Retail Holding Co. LLC of New York, with Boston-based Wilder Companies handling management and leasing at the shopping center.

Settlers Cabin Park is a 1,610-acre (7 km2) county park that is located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a part of the county's 12,000-acre (49 km2) network of nine distinct parks.

The West Hills is a term generally used to collectively describe the western suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A smaller portion of the area is known as the Airport Area. Though most communities are located southwest and west of the Ohio River, some of the West Hills area is located on the northern side of the river. I-79 and state routes 60 and 65 serve the West Hills, with I-376 (known locally as the Parkway West), connecting the region to the Pittsburgh International Airport.

Robinson Township is a township in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, approximately 12 miles (19 km) west of Pittsburgh. The population was 15,503 at the 2020 census. Home to Robinson Town Centre, Settlers Ridge and The Mall at Robinson, the township serves as a retail hub for the Pittsburgh metropolitan area.

Allegheny Valley School is a private non-profit organization based in the Pittsburgh region that provides services to individuals with disabilities. The school operates more than 125 programs across Pennsylvania, with locations in Allegheny, Beaver, Bucks, Butler, Dauphin, Lebanon, Mercer, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties. Of the 125 programs statewide, 67 are based in Western Pennsylvania, 17 in Central Pennsylvania and 44 in Eastern Pennsylvania. The headquarters are in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1960 to care for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities; when the Pittsburgh Home for Babies, an orphanage, closed, the Allegheny Valley School accepted the 10 children with intellectual disabilities who had been there. In 1983, Pittsburgh sportscaster Myron Cope founded the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix to raise funds for the Allegheny Valley School and The Autism Society of Pittsburgh. Cope said "My son, who was born brain-damaged and can neither speak nor otherwise function normally, has lived at Allegheny Valley School since 1982. For my late wife Mildred and me, Allegheny Valley School was a Godsend. My son is happy and is cared for with expertise, understanding and love." In 1996, Cope gave the rights to the Terrible Towel to the Allegheny Valley School, the proceeds from which continue to fund the school. In 2000, the Western Center, a state-run facility for disabled persons, closed and some residents were moved to the Allegheny Valley School. In 2008, Allegheny Valley School was acquired by NHS Human Services. As of 2013, it was serving more than 900 children, adults and senior citizens; residents have a variety of physical disabilities, medical complications, behavioral management needs.

The Walker-Ewing-Glass Log House is a log house located on Pinkerton Run Road in Settler's Cabin Park, North Fayette Township, Pennsylvania. It may have been built in the 1780s by a man named John Henry. In 1785, Isaac and Gabriel Walker acquired the land, and Gabriel built the nearby Walker-Ewing Log House around the same time. The Walker-Ewing-Glass Log House was added to the List of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmarks in 1970.

Montour High School is a public high school in Robinson, Pennsylvania, United States. It is the only high school in the Montour School District and serves the suburban towns of Kennedy and Robinson Townships, and the boroughs of Ingram, Pennsbury Village, and Thornburg. Established in 1956, the campus that serves students in grades 9 through 12 opened in 1957. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, in the 2016–2017 school year, the school reported an enrollment of 988 pupils in grades 9th through 12th.The campus is divided into two buildings: the main building (4 stories of classrooms, cafeteria, intermediate gymnasium, and weight room), and the athletic center, a multifunctional sports complex with a pool, indoor running track, basketball/volleyball court, cardio room, dance room, cheer/wrestling room, and a golf simulator. The high school building underwent renovation, high school students and (isolated) 6th graders attended David E. Williams Middle school, and the middle and elementary students were split among the three primary schools for the 2010–2011 school year. The new high school is asbestos free and includes newly renovated classrooms and a cafeteria. The two buildings are connected through an underground tunnel, running under the main driveway. The high school opened by the beginning of the 2011–2012 school year. also Montour stands racism and bullying about mental health etc.

Pittsburgh Technical College (PTC) is a private college in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The college, formerly Pittsburgh Technical Institute, opened in 1946 and has since expanded with more than 30 career-focused programs in ten schools. Bachelor's and associate degrees are awarded, in addition to certificate programs. Previously an employee-owned for-profit school, PTC became nonprofit in 2017 when it was purchased by the Center for Educational Excellence, Inc.

The Walker-Ewing Log House is an historic, eighteenth century loghouse located in Collier Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Owned and managed by the Pioneers West Historical Society beginning in the 1990s, the home and land were acquired by the Allegheny Land Trust in 2020 with oversight responsibility for the building's preservation and easement given to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy.

The Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is a botanical garden in Settler's Cabin Park in the Pittsburgh suburbs of Collier Township and North Fayette Township, United States. The garden spans across a total of 452 acres, making it among the top 10 largest American botanical gardens.

White Swan Park was a small amusement park on the border of Moon and Findlay townships in Allegheny County near Pittsburgh that operated from 1955 to 1989. It was located on the Penn-Lincoln Parkway West (then PA 60) at McClaren Road, just 1½ miles south of the old Greater Pittsburgh International Airport site.
