Epstein Theatre

Church Street is a street in Liverpool, England, lying between Bold Street to the east and Lord Street to the west. It is the main shopping area of Liverpool and takes its name from St Peter's Church, which was demolished in 1922. The side streets to the north of Church Street lead to Williamson Square, while the Grade I listed Bluecoat Chambers—the oldest surviving building in Liverpool—is to the south along Church Alley. The Liverpool Athenaeum, an institution founded in the 18th century, is also on Church Alley. The area behind the shops on the south side of Church Street is now part of the Liverpool One shopping complex, which opened in October 2008 after the redevelopment of a large part of the L1 postcode area (hence the name).

The Lyceum is a Neoclassical Grade II* listed building located on Bold Street, Liverpool. It was constructed in 1802 as a news-room and England's first subscription library (1758-1942) and later became a gentleman's club. After the club relocated in 1952 the building was left unoccupied for many years, eventually falling into a state of disrepair. Calls were made for its demolition in the late 1970s, sparking a campaign to save the building. It reopened as a post office, and then a branch of the Co-operative Bank. As of November 2019, its tenant is a Chinese restaurant.

Built in 1716–17 as a charity school, Bluecoat Chambers in School Lane is the oldest surviving building in central Liverpool, England. Following the Liverpool Blue Coat School's move to another site in 1906, the building was rented from 1907 onwards by the Sandon Studios Society. Based on the presence of this art society and the subsequent formation of the Bluecoat Society of Arts in 1927, the successor organisation laid claim to being the oldest arts centre in Great Britain, now called the Bluecoat.

The Athenaeum is a private members club in Liverpool, England. The club was founded to ensure the up-to-date provision of newspapers and pamphlets, and to create a library for the use of the merchants and professional men in the city. The original building was demolished, and replaced by a new building nearby, in 1924. The members of the club are known as Proprietors, because they subscribe to a share, and they include both men and women. The building contains a large library, and it is also used by the Proprietors for social functions. It can be hired for use by outside individuals and organisations.

Compton House is a grade II listed department store building located on Church Street in Liverpool, England. The building is noted as being one of the first purpose built department stores in Europe. As of today, it forms part of Liverpool's biggest retail areas centred around Church Street.Rebuilt in 1867, after a fire destroyed the original building two year previously, Compton House was at the time the world's biggest store with 5 floors. After the store's closure in 1871, the building was converted into a hotel and renamed Compton Hotel. At its height, the hotel was described as the finest and most central hotel in the city, catering mainly for American guests. A decline of Liverpool's economy in the early 20th century led to the hotel closing in 1927, Retailer Marks & Spencer subsequently moved into Compton House in 1928 becoming their flagship store in the city.

The Liverpool Academy of Arts was founded in Liverpool in April 1810 as a regional equivalent of the Royal Academy, London. It followed the Liverpool Society of Artists, first founded in 1769, which had a fitful existence until 1794. Two local art collectors, Henry Blundell and William Roscoe were its first Patron and Secretary, the Prince Regent George gave his patronage for the next three years, and it was actively promoted by presidents of the Royal Academy. Its membership included local artists such as the landscapists John Rathbone, Richard Ansdell, Thomas Chubbard, Alfred William Hunt and Charles Barber, and the sculptor John Gibson. Leading artists of the day competed for its prize of £50 for non-local contributors to its annual exhibition, including J. M. W. Turner, Henry Fuseli, John Martin and Joseph Wright of Derby. In the late 1850s, however, it split due to major disagreements following annual prizes being awarded to the then controversial Pre-Raphaelite painters, particularly to William Holman Hunt in 1852 for Valentine Rescuing Sylvia from Proteus and to Millais in 1857 for The Blind Girl. The Academy remained nominally in existence, continuing to hold annual exhibitions, but never regaining its national importance.

Clayton Square Shopping Centre is an inner-city shopping centre located in Liverpool, England. It is in close proximity to Liverpool Lime Street and Liverpool Central railway stations. It is the city's fourth largest shopping centre behind Liverpool One, St. John's Shopping Centre and Metquarter. Clayton Square sees tough competition from the likes of Liverpool One, St.Johns, Metquarter, Church Street, Lord Street and Bold Street. In April 2010, Swedish hardware store Clas Ohlson opened its sixth UK store in Clayton Square occupying the former premises of Zavvi.All businesses located in Clayton Square Shopping Centre are members of Retail and Leisure Liverpool BID. Clayton Square is one of the key shopping centres within the Cita, and works in partnership with other stakeholders in to improve the city centre. In the summer of 2014 a major refit got under way ad it was completed in December 2015. The refurbishment converted smaller units in to larger retail units, the opening of the mall to its full atrium height and the public access removed for the upper floor. The entrance on to Church Street was closed and created in to a unit which is occupied by Wildwood Restaurant. Half the floor space on the upper floor was turned in to a Gym whilst the other half will be a bowling alley (Lane 7).

Williamson Square is in the city centre of Liverpool, England. It was initially laid out as a residential square in the 1745 by Mr Williamson. It originally only had buildings on the lower part and the other three parts were not covered.The Liverpool Playhouse stands on the east side of the square, and the other sides are occupied by shops. Formerly the north side was occupied by the Theatre Royal, but this was demolished in 1965. The square also contains a fountain, consisting of 20 jets of water that rise to a height of up to four metres. The fountain is controlled by a computer, and during the evenings is illuminated with coloured lights.

Greatest Hits Radio Liverpool & The North West is an Independent Local Radio station based in Liverpool, England, owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Greatest Hits Radio network. It broadcasts to Merseyside, North West England, Cheshire and parts of North Wales. The station forms part of Greatest Hits Radio North West. As of December 2021, the station has a weekly audience of 207,000 listeners according to RAJAR.

Radio City is an Independent Local Radio station based in Liverpool, England, owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Hits Radio network. It broadcasts to Merseyside, North West England, Cheshire and parts of North Wales. As of December 2021, the station has a weekly audience of 299,000 listeners according to RAJAR.

Radio City Talk (previously City Talk 105.9) was an Independent Local Radio station in Liverpool, England. In May 2020, it was announced by Bauer that Radio City Talk would cease broadcasting, after concluding that the station was no longer financially viable to run.The station ceased broadcasting on 1 June 2020 at 00:06.
